My four children and I very much enjoy our weekly time at this library. It is spacious and comfortable, reasonably stocked for a smallish library, great computer access, and easy check out. The staff has been wonderfully helpful even in little things like helping my 10 yo find just the right book. Great neighborhood library.

Although it's a small library, there is a great selection of books, there's a separate area for children with toys, and there are many Spanish books too! Which is a huge plus for our family

Kosmic Latte

Has many options for the kids and has a lot of comfortable chairs

Very great location and awesome programs for children

The staff is helpful and it's adequately stocked for a small library. Even if the book or DVD I'm searching for isn't there, I can always have it sent so its never been an issue. I like the cozy atmosphere and it has adequate computers, although I don't use it much since I use the one at home. It would be nice to be able to settle account here though...

I have frequented this library with my children for the past six years. When they were babies, we enjoyed the babytime program. Now that they are preschool age, they are not allowed into the younger programs and their preschool program falls on a day I work, so we do not go as often. Most of the staff has been friendly, but today I had a very unpleasant encounter with a woman in the area where they sell discarded books. I don't have her name, but she was a much older woman wearing a white shirt. She was quite rude and gave me a lecture because she didn't think I was going to pay for the books in my arms. On the contrary, we donate and give money to this library on a regular basis. Unfortunately, this one encounter makes me not want to do so anymore.

This particular branch of the Phoenix PUBLIC Library is very subpar. Granted, it is very small and limited in size. But it still has plenty of room for large amounts of people and computer terminals. The reason for the subpar rating is because of the way in which the staff treats tax paying patrons. There is always some condescending form of interaction between the security person and certain "other" people. And the noisey children (not the high school students) can tend to be a huge distraction. Of course the high school students are typical teenagers and they can be obnoxious at times. But over all this is just not a very good spot to study or research anything.

musta been an off day. I coulda have studied at the state fair...kids running around, babies crying and two women talking loud and eating cheetos. Security walking around all stonefaced not saying anything...better luck next time I guess.

We have been going to this library since we moved to Laveen. We love this library and south mountain branch as well.

i only lived around here for a short period, but i enjoyed the library. i must have moved at the same time an employee from Palo Verde library did because he works up there now and he's really knowledgeable and is a great help. the new guy up there is a sweetheart and very patient with my kids. i never had a problem with kids being loud but since i have young ones my tolerance level may be different than others. after school hours is the worst to go up there tho, only because it gets crowded with high schoolers. not that it's a problem, they all are well behaved as far as i can tell, but it's not as calm as other times of the day. it's a very small library so you will definitely have to get Holds more often than not coming to this library. that's the only reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 star rating.

Very postive on days and they are really fun when my granchildren get there

This Iibrary is clean and quiet most of the time. There are enough computers and printers to use. Also, the books are well equipped and labeled to look for what you need. The staff is mostly helpful but sometimes are busy with other things. They’ll help you if they have time.

Intelligent and helpful staff. Beautiful building that has been awarded for its energy efficiency. Unfortunately the staff is not good about keeping rude teenagers from disturbing others. The kids know that the staff is unwilling to enforce even the most basic of decnt behavior and it emboldened them to flaunt disrespectful behaviour. It is adjacent to a beautiful park with lake and there is a magificent life sized statue of Cesar Chavez by artist Zarco Guerrero. But unfortunately most kids don't care about "Si se puede". They care about how disruptive they can be

Ariana Flores

Beautiful library but I wish they had more single tables. It's usually quiet enough for me to focus without needing headphones and white noise so it's a good working environment.

On this partcular day I would have given this Library a 0 rating. Frustrating to go to the library to study when the high school kids are allowed to go in and disrupt everyone. I have enjoyed the location and quiet atmosphere the last few visits but it has gotten out of hand

Nice library. There are some preteens who don't seem to be supervised and are a little loud (not in the kids area, in the main area) but the library itself is nice and well taken care of

Clean. Nice peeps. Nice used books and maga section for purchase...great prices. Lots of things for the family to do such as craft night. Great summer reading program. Kids area inside with a few toys. Next to a park with a lake and playground.

Twice I have needed help and it seems like the employees hesitate to do so. Also, everytime I go up to the front counter they act as if they dont see me and continue conversating with each other.

Laura Ruiz

Because they are helpful and they help you to use your card

This place is unreliable. Power outage ever other day, loud children everywhere. You are better off going to Starbucks, unless you enjoy free magic shows!

Emily Carbajal

Very good lighting and many tables where you can sit and work all day

Ann Sues

I like coming to this branch. However, I just come to enjoy the AC and WIFI. I have never needed assistance.
