I really like this place and have been going here on occasions ever since I first moved back into Anchorage back in the 2000's. They have a huge selection of books, and movies. Also the staff here are very friendly and polite. They also hold local events here on occasions. There is also a good amount of computers here that you can use, even if you don't have a library card you can ask the staff at the desk for a guess pass. they also have a nice little café on the first floor by the entrances. Also they have made some new changes to the place over the summer than what it use to be

Pretty big library, but not very many selections when it comes to more recent books. They’re mostly old books, which is quite disappointing. Other than that, it’s not bad. I’m from Arizona.

One of the best libraries I have been to in Anchorage. My initial reaction was how big the facility was in. It has many sections like the young adult section which blew my mind. It's like a maze but with books and computers!

No stodgy library. I recently made my first trip to the Loussac library and I'm so glad I didn't wait any longer. It is a wonderful library with a magnificent collection. The Alaska Collection is amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful and really made me feel like it was their pleasure to help me. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

It’s a nice library. Great selection of books and movies. It’s a big place, you can wander for quite a long time just looking around. There are some quiet sitting rooms in some out of the way corners with some comfortable chairs.

It's a cool place where Lions, Witches and Wardrobes hang out together and read...not a bad place for OWL's to just sit and do OWL things.

The remodeled library is like walking into literary wonderment! It has a cafe and all access to a bibliophiles dream. So beautiful and friendly staff. If they do not have your title, you can do inter library loan. Really beautiful spot!

I'm glad the renovations are mostly done, 2.5 years later. But the library is being taken over by inebriated homeless people (see picture). There are also bedbugs. There needs to be a separate day shelter for these wanderers.

I no longer support the loussac library or friends of library as I have done for very many years. To expose young children to sexual orientations without choice is not only wrong it's not respecting the parents wishes or letting them have the ability to raise their children in a wholesome environment. Dragstory time is shameful, there is no place for it in the library for children.

Loussac library is located in a nice area, surrounded by a lawn and park. The architecture is interesting and the décor is relaxed but eye-catching. There is plenty of space to sit and work, for studying as well as just hanging out. There is a wide variety of books including many new ones. The library offers cool events and helpful services, including computer use. The staff is helpful and friendly. Loussac is a great library for studying or finding a good book.

Anchorage Public Library on Denali Street is the place to visit for all sorts of entertainment: movies, reading, coffee shop, just to name a few; and a staff that is pleasant and kind.

This is the main library of Anchorage. There are three floors the second of which it's time primariy for young adults teens and kids. There are quite a bit of homeless people who hang out there however they keep it well maintained and it's clean as can be.

I really value our public library. My favorite part is being able to put books on hold, so they're ready for pickup when I come in. We're lucky to have this great library system in Anchorage.

Good selection of books, they also have movies and music CDs available. Chairs, desks, and computers are available. There is a self checkout system. You can literally spend hours there, check out, and return your books. Without having to communicate with anyone. There is free WiFi as well. The WiFi is really good actually... It's fast, no weird protocol for logging in, and the connection is pretty solid. Clearly some effort went into making it this way.

Pretend to have a "Book Hold" website, when you use & try to pick up book, employees go running! I tried this online, and got told by 2 employees every excuse why it COULD NOT HAPPEN. How about just not offer the service? R E T A R D E D E D
