One of the best municipal libraries in the state that is constantly being updated with the latest technology. Service is number one with lots of activities for every age group. Have a great book store that offers lots of books, used magazines and videos for sale cheap.

Absolutely the best library I've ever visited, and the best place in Florence to take your kids and teens for activities and learning! Excellent Staff, great programs, and did you know they have their own coffee shop? It's only the BEST coffee in town and all your purchases support the library!

The children's section is amazing. It's so welcoming and fun. My children are loud, and it wasn't a problem! The staff was also very helpful answering all the questions I had!

The Florence Lauderdale Public library is an excellent source for information. My child and I have enjoyed coming here for years. My mother also brought me here as a child. However, I am GREATLY disappointed to learn that it is no longer policy to require people to be QUIET in the library. This makes it very difficult to study or read. The library is supposed to be a quiet, safe haven to enjoy books, not a frat party or meeting place.
