Moderately Dirty, Some Machines In Need Of Replacement
This is about as basic as a laundromat can get. At least it's next to a bus line and has (limited) free parking.
The Wednesday wash deal is about what it should cost anyway ($1.25 per small 30min load), but other than that, this place is very bare bones. They only offer your typical soaps in the dispenser; so if you have allergies to heavy perfumes, there aren't really any options for you if you forgot your soap.
The parking lot company is also aggressive in marking car tires and thirsty to write ridiculous $50 tickets; so if you have a lot of laundry to do, be aware of that nonsense.
I find that the dryers don't get hot enough to dry medium-sized loads in less than an hour, and some of the washing machines need new seals, doors, and need to be rebalanced so that they don't shake uncontrollably. The large load washers are newer and nicer, but they are pretty expensive in comparison.
Seating is extremely limited, so your best bet is to set a timer and go for a walk. Washer doors lock, but the dryer doors do not; so keep that in mind if you're afraid of theft.
Also, there is never an attendant around (out of the dozen or so times, I've only seen them at close), which means if something goes wrong: good luck.
Why the bad rating? Safety concerns. Be extremely careful with the floors, as well -- not only are they very dirty, but the last time I went, people were slipping and falling down; one whom was an elderly woman whose fall was so hard that I'm surprised she was able to get up at all. They really should install nonslip rubber mats; especially when it rains or snows.
