This Laundry corresponds to the category of Donut shop.
It's a real place!
Family owned, great food and welcoming staff.
Yummy
Been here several times. Love this place. Food is so yummy with very reasonable price. Lunch specials are around 6-7 dollars yet come with tons of food. The people care about their customers and remember what they want.
Good food and workers
The best apple fritters in town and I always get the sweet n sour chicken.
Best place for moist donuts and donut holes. But WE also go there for the Pod Thai, rather it's
Was in and out laundry but was dirty
Doughnuts are gross. Teriyaki came with shredded red cabbage, no salad and sauce was pooled in the bottom of the to go plate. Yuck. Used the laundry until today when one of the 5 dryers i used had no heat. The kid at the front said sorry and no reimbursement. If your equipment is faulty i should have been reimbursed like the couple i saw last week was. Now i have a bad taste in my mouth and your equipment is faulty ill use one of the 10 places right down the street. Also, dont keep a yappy dog in your kitchen. Its a health code violation, and its gross!
I can't believe I'm saying this but these donuts are better then Top Pot. So fresh, airy light and great customer service.
Great service and food.
Amazing donuts! Very soft and fluffy. The only complaint I have is they aren't open on Thursdays. But they need a day off too! Thanks for your hard work!
Friendly owners, great prices! Support local!
What a let down. The previous owners sold outstanding donuts. The new owners don't have a clue about fried dough! Decent coffee, can't speak for the food, having never ordered any there.
Awesome little donut shop...in the wrong place. Sorry, just being honest. I had to convince myself to actually stop and park at this location. It's the definition of "sketchy" as far as I'm concerned. Other than that, excellent donuts and great service. Inexpensive at that. So I'm glad I did take that chance. Parking is free (again the aforementioned caveat about location).
My favorite spot for many years
Weird and awesome
Donuts are good
Order chicken Pad Thai if I can rate a zero I would it was not good at all but staff is friendly
The customer service is a little better but the supply is abysmal. They really need to to get it together how much to make in the morning. Twice I have came down at 8am and they were already out of everything I needed. I asked if they are making more, she looked almost shocked. I told her there is no point me coming down here if they are sold out in an hour. She said they will make me some apple fritters. After 10 minutes, I asked if they were still making my order. The guy just said yeah and continued ignoring me. I nicely asked for my money back and left. They may need to hire a business consultant or something. I'm not coming back until they get it together.
Friendly and inexpensive. I'll go back for their Thai food.
Had a donut and shrimp fried rice; both were fantastic, highly recommend!
As a kid I really enjoyed this spot, however to maintain a profitable business you must change with the times. Came to get a spicy chicken and beef and I asked if I could get a clean grill (when you don't eat pork, establishments will clean the grill to prevent cross contamination) however I was chumped off and couldn't purchase.
Very good!!
Really nice staff. The cake donuts were fine. The sugar donut was nasty. I will come down for breakfast someday.
Thai food, donuts and laundromat!
Easily the best donuts around.
Slap
Love their food nice customer service
Wow. So rude. I just called and asked an employee if they had either any doughnuts that were completely dairy free or vegan, because I am allergic to dairy. His reply was "No! We don't have any of those weird doughnuts" I hung up on him and I will never ever go there.
Great customer service
Definitely better than Dunkin donuts or Krispy Kreme to me.
It's under new management which is a A+. The location is alot cleaner. The improvements for the good. Thank you for the clean donut case with fresh donuts. I would never purchase before because of the ants and filth from Original owners but three following management has done well, thanks your appreciated.
First order since new management. Never again!! Ordered Chicken teriyaki, it didnt come with salad. It wasn't fresh and it seemed like the chicken wasn't cooked all the way. Rice tasted old as well. Overwhelming fish taste to the sauce. Really disappointed.
Best donuts in Seattle!! Great price. Made fresh every morning. And the food is amazing!! Tender meat, fresh crunchy vegetable. And lovely owner/employee
Best Donuts Around. I didn’t go into this place for sooooooo long. Almost 2 years living right up the road. Finally took the dive and I’m so mad I have been missing out on the tastiest donut ever! I’m a HUGE fan of just a good solid glazed donut. They aced it. And there are so many other delicious choices.
Always the nicest employees, and very good donuts.
New owners are very nice family. No huge changes. I loved it before and I like it Now
Killer coffee and donuts.
They make good donuts and our hang around place they also make vry good noodles and Thai foods.
Awesome donuts, friendly local family run business. Call ahead if you want to order a bunch, they will happily do it.
Great service, but the food takes a really long time to come out.
Nice place and wonderful Donuts
My first time using the laundry. I loaded my clothes and I was trying to make the washer was secure. This asian guy out of the blue started to say not to pull on his washer it might break. My point is this guy could have been a little respectful rather than being rude. I tried explain to him but that guy is rude. Not coming back in this place
Great food love there donuts
Very friendly with good coffee and donuts! -MpH
Expensive
Donut teriyaki heaven
Very excellent homemade donuts. And their food from fried rice and vegetable fried rice is delicious. And why you eating you can be washing your clothes
This place is a local favorite. Anyone who knows the Rainier Beach area knows about this place. Great donuts! I will miss this place when it closes at the end of the year. We will miss you King Donut!
Tasty food!
My favorite
Love there fried rice
They have good Donuts are made fresh daily so you have to arrive early if you want a certain kind of donut because they sell out fast.
I come here a lot and the donuts are always delicious + the cashiers are very friendly. Good vibes
One of a kind. Such a happy place.
Always delicious. Try a cruller or the apple fritter.
It's a real place!
Great donuts
Best food, amazing laundromat and DELICIOUS donuts
Good
I came in and got made fun of by the cashier, but it feels like home
Curry fried rice is the BOMB!!! But the Pad Thai not so much, I’d give it like 4/10 it’s pretty sour/sweet alittle way too much and not too many sides along with the noodles and beef just green onion some egg would be nice but rice is BOMB tho!!!!
We used King Donuts for our wedding dessert, and they were amazing! They set up the most wonderful tasting for us prior to our wedding, and communication with them throughout the wedding process was super easy. Their donuts are delicious, and all our guests loved the alternative to cake. Thanks so much!
Went there to check it out, the dounuts in the morning are so delicious! Still fresh and warm
The only place in Seattle I know of where you can have donuts and teriyaki while doing your laundry. It’s not mind blowing cuisine, but worlds better than most laundromats.
Third time here in two weeks! OMG their Combo fried rice is the bomb! Pad Kee Mao is the bomb too! Brought a property nearby and had to visit the Donut/Teriyaki/Laundry mat business everyone talks about. After having lunch today we had french crullers and a buttermilk bar - oh so good. Nice and fluffy. Maple bars are great too - had those on a previous visit. :) Owner/cook is very friendly and engaging and really cares about making sure customers enjoy her food.
Great concept!! Restaurant, bakery, and laundromat. Had the donuts!!
Great donuts. Great people. Local institution.
Great donuts and teriyaki
Awesome
Good food
Under new management-thank goodness-Rainier staple-donuts and Thai food! yum!
Good place!
The donuts are great. The people are friendly and helpful, very kind to my kids. The Thai Food is EXCELLENT! Like the best in Seattle! I can't recommend King Donuts enough. Our favorite place to eat in Rainier Beach!
So happy this place is back opened . The new owners are keeping it real. Great Thai Asian food, I had the shrimp is in do good!!! donuts and laundry. This is an important neighborhood staple. Check it out if your hungry.
Went with my daughter and we got a few different selections and we like them all
Great doughnuts. Decent teriyaki. Only negative is that is has a small parking lot.
Very friendly place
Best donuts in Seattle, by a wide margin. Come here for cruellers.
Great donuts, and then I found out they make teriyaki and pad Thai types of food. The pad Thai was pretty amazing, and they gave me a lot of it.
Combo fried rice was tasty and cooked to order so it was hot out the pan just for the record 4 was toooo spicy maybe 2? Very nice people
I love this place!!
Excellent donuts. Some of the best cake donuts I've ever had. Great prices and comfy booths.
Great donuts don't close!!!!
In the laundromat only 2 working dryers
They never have donut holes ready even right when they open! Old lady working said it would be 30 mins to cook because they weren't cut. I waited the 30 mins, now she is telling me its gonna be another 30 mins. Dont tell me a time frame if your not sure! A whole hour to make donut holes! I could of took my toddler else where for breakfast. What a waste of time!
Donuts are so good!
I love the donuts but the place is not appealing... I gave them 4 stars because of the donuts not the actual place setting.
Wish I could eat more sugar and gluten, cause I would be here much more often.
Great local doughnuts, teriyaki, and laundry. I haven't tried the teriyaki or done laundry here but the doughnuts are top notch. I love the french crullers and haven't been able to find similar in the seattle area. The owners are super friendly as well. This is such a great place it is a must if you are in the area looking for some sugar.
Average donuts better than the ones at the grocery store but not as good as a real bakery.
Friendly and the best donuts ever
The absolute best donut shop in the world!!!!!
what can anyone say about King Donut? they make fabulous donuts AND teriyaki and it's a laundromat, too. You can have your drinks and food in a spacious dining area and visit with other local residents. this is not some upscale, gentification-oriented, nouveau/artisan pastry shop, but a genuine old fashioned neighborhood icon. better go there now, because they have announced that they will be shutting down in December 2016. and if you like their donuts, you might have to go to Everett to find some just as good.
Preferred the donuts before it was sold.
The new owners changed the decor and menu. Ordered the chicken and shrimp fried rice. Was very good.
They're okay
As stated by many, the teriyaki us passable, but the doughnuts are the best I've ever had. They are large, soft, absolutely packed full of flavor, and the selection is excellent. I don't know what they do different in the batter and with the toppings, but it is always the most amazing flavor profile you could imagine in a pastry. Their bavarian is my favorite and tastes so amszingly fresh, even a few hours later as a pre-lunch snack. I work just down the street but only a few months a year which I'm glad for, otherwise I'd weigh 50 pounds more. It's hard not to walk out witg more than you intended. Give it a try, but be forewarned, you will get hooked.
Go see just because . Also they have great noodles. But where else can you get donuts, teriyaki, and do this all while doing laundry. I know right!

Trash. Ever since new management. They’re slow they lie and they won’t even cut your food.
Excellent Thai food along with always great donuts.
Great food
The food is great and Tavis and his mother are engaging and phenomenal host.
Really good Teriyaki and donuts
Love me sum stirfry rico style
Great terryaki and donuts. Very reasonable prices. One of my favorite places in Rainer beach. If you have a load of laundry you can get it done. Good food and crossing chores off at the same time? Cant beat it.
First came here for donuts, now I do my laundry here as well. Family run and they make the best donuts in the city. Get in early on the weekend for fresh-out-the-fryer donuts and unpretentious coffee. A community gem, and a safe gathering place for the elders this side of town. Are you a rich person? Leave your judgment at the door, you don't deserve donuts this good and they don't deserve the scoffing I've seen you do here. Also you better tip, children of pale face.
Bih, cause i like it like that lol
Decent Teriyaki, great donuts, and the best part is how ridiculously friendly the staff (I've only met one) member(s) are.
More like 4.5 Donuts we're very fresh and pretty good. Only been here once but plan on coming back. the cystcust service was great.
I don't think I could like this place more. I recently had to wash all of my belongings because of mold in our house. I spent a lot of time at Kings that day. The family that runs it is kind and it's cool to talk story with them. There are regulars that hang out there and I loved my pad see ew. The donuts are retro and delicious. So many places are over fancifying donuts and it's getting out of hand. $6 for a donut with cardamom...meh. Kings donuts has all my favorites and at less than half the cost. Where else can you have lunch. Take home some donuts for dessert and get some chores done, all while chatting with awesome people. This place is a cornerstone of the community.
Awesome place! Tasty donuts and friendly owners. Donuts finished too quickly to take a picture.
Good service. Clean place. The rating is for the Thai food I got. It was priced same as the Thai restaurants but the taste is meh.. pad see hew was bland and dry, I don’t see any sauce just dryness. Fried rice was ok. Thai food here was not something I’ll come back for. But hey they have great donuts!
Didn't believe it until I came into the place. Great donuts, Asian fusion(teriyaki, Thai), and A LAUNDROMAT!! It's a real place, and it's great.
Good donuts
Great quality. Good price
Fantastic Donuts!
The best..
I love Kings Donuts. Loved the old owners. Love the new owners. They are really sweet and community oriented. The portions are huge. The service is great. I gave 4 stars because I am not sure if they have a policy on phone orders but when I phone in my order, expecting it to be ready in the given time and not started when I walk in to pick it up, it's never ready in that given time. This has had to have happened at least 5 times in the last year or so that I call in an order on my lunch break to pick it up and have to wait for them to cook it when I get there, making me either later for work or not giving me enough time to eat. If I wanted my food made when I got there, I wouldn't bother calling in a phone order. Besides that, I really enjoy these people. I didn't want to say anything bad because they have become like friends, but my reviews are all honest and as detailed as possible. I always order the shrimp fried rice (in the picture attached, I ate all the shrimp before taking the pic) Oh yeah, that reminds me... Seattle passed this new "law" about garbage compost and containers being compostable. Well, the new containers suck. The owners knows this, they hate that they have to serve out of these new containiers because they are so flimsy, but it is new law. I'd rather the plastic containers, that doesn't fall apart before you make it home if your food is too hot and fresh.
Donuts where ok but the teriyaki was disgusting they used store bought sauce and the chicken tasted and looked like it was pre bought then warmed up with the sauce
People place
Delicious teriyaki and donuts... under new management the last month or so... definitely a turn for the best!! Will be making this my usual grub hub for sure!
Deliscious donuts, out of place for a Thai restaurant, but dont let the pink building fool you, this place has great donuts and amazing Pad Thai! With the price you really cant beat the quality and quantity!
Great local place to catch up with friends over, 5 star doughnuts.....better than Krispy..and in the back us a nice laundrymat....
Has the Best Donuts and can also do Your Laundry.
Great donuts, great Teriyaki! I love this concept.
If you come in here and get one of the glazed donuts you might see into the future because they are so good. Highly recommend this place
Best doughnuts in town
Food was good u have to get 5 star spicy on any of them if u like spicy.
Delicious donuts & Teriyaki here!
I like this place. However, it seems like there's never much of a selection between 8 and 9am on Sundays. Not sure if it gets better later in the day.
Best donuts on the south end...and I have to say, they trounce Top Pot. Also, to the reviewer upset about a lack of vegan/dairy free donuts - what do you expect from a combination donut-teriyaki-laundry joint?
Don't get me wrong the food is good, (will never compare to the old king donuts!) but I've gotten the chicken pad see ew from here twice, first time it was really good, second time they added too much veggies for my liking, and they didn't have much flavor to them like they did the first time, but I'm rating 3 stars because the phone service! I've called and ordered to go 2 times now the first time was fine, the second time I had to call back a couple times which wasn't that bad but today is a whole nother story! I've called atleast 6-7 times no answer, the second to last time I called someone picked up and hung up! So food is pretty good, (I'm going to get spring rolls now), service is okay & customer service is average okay. EDIT; they were closed! My mistake, but I wonder why the random closure during the weekdays, all I know is I'm going to get my spring rolls today! 4 stars!
Best doughnuts west of the Rockies! Made fresh every morning and melt in your mouth. If you buy the doughnut holes, good luck just eating a couple... I usually eat a dozen before I can make myself stop. Soooooooooooooooooooo good! I know it doesn't look like much from the outside but it is so worth the stop.
Kinda fishy place
Owner is dis respectful. And kicked out paying customer cause they dont like Trump
Great commercial
Good donuts, not the nicest looking place. Teriyaki is not the best.
Tasty treats
Gr8 donuts to make you FAT Like a Fatty.
Bought two dozen donuts this morning and took them to work. The donuts were so stale that no one ate them. How embarrassing. A few ended up getting tossed to the birds and the rest were thrown out. Called to let the manager know and she said that I had to bring them back. Seriously?? She didn't even care. Spent 24 dollars and would have been better off going to Safeway. Would have spent half that and gotten better donuts. Will not be back and you should stay away as well.
Oddly interesting place. Donuts, Chinese food and laundry mat. Food is fresh and tasty in large portion. Small menu.
Delicious
King Donuts is back! They still had a reasonable selection of doughnuts when we got there after 1pm. My old-fashioned had the right combination of tenderness and that top crunch. My daughter's chocolate bar was enormous, but the glaze hadn't set. We really wanted some milk! I'll be back for lunch items.
the best
Donuts are a 5, teriyaki is a 3 so I split the difference.
They spelled doughnut wrong
Oh really nice family has taken over at Kings Donuts, Travis and his family having come from Texas, does a wonderful job not only with a donut shop but is also a restaurant at the laundromat. Greeted by name whatever I stop in, I truly feel welcomed. So on lives the legend Of Kings Donuts in Rainier Beach in skilled and capable hands.
I love the donuts they are amazing that I wish I had a year supply of donuts and teriyaki. And the workers are nice
Love their donut holes !!!
The worst donuts ; ( juts I lost my money.
A community icon - alas, closing in December 2016 after 30 years. It will be missed.
New management since my last visit. They got the doughnut recipe right, so great, but the teriyaki chicken needs some more effort or less. It was very dry, overdone. The chicken stir fry was OK. I would have it again. I have always loved King Donut, so I hope that they do better on the teriyaki. They have new recipes on the menu in addition to the old ones, so I look forward to trying them, particularly the curry stout fry.
Good when they actually have doughnuts. But they have a very limited selection and aren't the best if you are just walking in. Especially first thing in the morning. You better call ahead if you need/want something.
The donuts live up to their reputation - fantastic! The location is shady. The parking lot is a mess. The owners are friendly...depending on days. But overall, they are nice folks.
