They have an extensive video on their website of the rug-cleaning process, but never tell you that they ship the rugs up to Baltimore and that it will take 3 weeks. I warned them that I had an Oriental rug that had some bleeding, and they said they could fix it. I sent a large rug out in excellent condition - just minor bleeding in one corner, entire pile in good condition. It was returned with extensive bleeding, streaks and blotchy color from the dye bleeding, bare spots stripped away, and one long strip removed of pile. They ruined my beautiful rug. I have called 3 times and emailed the manager, but have heard no reply. NEVER send a rug to them!!

This location is still open during the construction, however the quality of work is amazing! My wedding is 8/18/18 and I had no idea it took a while to clean a veil. Dan was highly recommended by Aksinia (AG Alterations) and was quick to respond to my predicament. He was able to get my cathedral veil steamed and readily available in one day. I'm so glad I came here. Thanks again!

My parents, who don't use computers much, asked me to post this: One of the great things about Richmond is the top quality of services rendered by a number of businesses. I had occasion to visit the HandCraft dry cleaners on Patterson where I received quality and efficient service. Then, needing advice and help with a cleaning problem, the manager came to my assistance with service above and beyond the call of duty by spending twenty minutes fixing the problem. When I asked "how much" I was told with a friendly smile, "No charge. Glad to do it." Now how often do you hear that? We have all heard stories about the quality, personal service from Pleasant's Hardware, Siewer's Lumber and Ukrop's. Now add HandCraft Cleaners to that list of excellence!

Prices are good and quality of work is good but my customer service experience was terrible. The lady misspelled my name and got an attitude when I told her she got my information wrong. 2/10/17 Update: When I went back to pick up my shirts the lady that helped me was very professional and pleasant. My name and information was still incorrect and she updated it. An improvement from my drop off experience.

I was looking for a dry cleaners that would pick up and deliver, after looking I contacted several and Handcraft was the only one that contacted me back, after setting up an account for my husband’s suit to be dry clean they pick them up at the door on Tuesday and called me to let me know that they were picked it and would have them back by Friday. Come Friday they deliver by 10:00 a.m. for by husband to go to work at 11:00. The suits were perfectly pressed and tailors to the exact direction that I gave. They looked wonderful. I would recommend Handcraft cleaners to anyone that needs dry cleaning pick up and delivered, they do a wonderful job and they keep their word on pick up and deliverer service. I will never use another dry cleaner I was so impress, never having experienced anything like this before I was well worth it. The price is a little lower than the dry cleaners that I was using and I had to take them and drop them off and pick them up. Never will I have to do that again Thank you so much Handcraft cleaners.

Wedding dress cleaning service is fantastic. I was impressed, I thought all those stains would not come out and it was yellow. Now it is white and looks just like it did when my Mother got married in it. Dan offers a great, unique service to Richmond area, I highly recommend supporting this business.
