I have never been someone who nailed down the weekly laundry routine and Express Laundry has made it so easy for me to be able get a lot done in very little time when the loads have piled up. Trey and his staff were super helpful and being able to use my debit card to add money to my Laundering Card was very efficient. I had been stressing over my packed schedule for weeks and I was able to get in and out in practically no time, definitely using Express for all my future laundry needs! Happy customer over here.

I recently went to this laundry after the one at my shared dwelling broke. Being socially anxious, I expected public laundry to be a stressful and boring experience, but what I found instead is a very relaxing environment that is akin to being at a coffee shop without all the external stimuli. For $2.90 a single large load of laundry will wash in 20 minutes, and another $2.40 will dry the laundry after 30 minutes at medium heat- a reasonable expense considering the amenities. While you wait for your laundry to wash and dry, there are complimentary coffee and secure wifi access, the latter I am using to write this post on my laptop. This is my second time doing laundry here, and though my home washer and dryer are since functional, I enjoy coming here to get out of the house and get some work done while saving some time overall.

Can't use quarters, but there is a card system you can load cash or credit with. Convenient if you live nearby, not so much if just passing through. The machines seem clean and the staff is friendly and helpful.

A++ laundromat!! Based upon other positive reviews, I went here to do 5 large loads of laundry including clothes, bedding, and pillows. My experience could not have been better. Susan was super helpful in recommending which machines to use and how to pay. The equipment was excellent: washers finished in about 20 mins, drying time was about another 20 mins. The laundromat itself is clean and spacious, with plenty of machines, seating, and ample parking. Highly recommend!

The quality of their service makes it is well worth the time it takes to drive from Waynesboro and back to drop off and pick up my laundry. I just recently met Trey, the owner. Definitely the friendliest, cleanest and safest laundromat in Charlottesville. Wonderful place and very easy to relax while waiting for your laundry to finish. They even have complimentary coffee and magazines to read! All of their machines are modern and in good working order and use a card system rather than quarters. Trey, the owner is also incredibly nice and welcoming, always asking if you need any help bringing your items inside. I always recommend Express Laundry Center to anyone who asks.

I was a first time user and the very friendly staff was nothing but helpful. I was going old school and brought quarters. The woman (who helped me in with my stuff) switched it over to dollar bills and showed me how to load my money on to their convenient card. I had to leave and all my things were there when I returned. The owner was there and he helped me and made sure I knew how to get on the FREE wifi. The machines were clean and worked very well. The building was also clean and well maintained. Do not confuse this with Wahoo Wash which is a few doors down. NOT the same place at all!!! I can't say enough nice things about this place and the people who work there.

I'm very happy with my experience here the other day. Clean facility, plenty of parking and tables to sit at, friendly staff. Had a much better experience here than at hydraulic. Highly recommend!

Dropped off a few sets of bed-sheets on Saturday, my first visit, and gotta say they will do more of my laundry. Bianca, hope I spelled it right, was just a gem! Very pleasant and helpful in explaining my options and when they would be ready. WOW, excellent service and laundry was better than I could do it. Lots of cars in the parking lot, and still plenty of washers/dryers available for DIYers. Even though my drive will take me 35minutes one-way, I am going to make it a habit to do all of my laundry at ELC! Well Done!

Me & my son was in town, because my 2 week old grad daughter had to have emergency open heart surgery. After a week of being in town we finally decided to find a laundromat & after reading the reviews we picked Express Laundry Center. I hadn't been to a laundromat in over 20 years, so I was really confused about using a card to pay for the wash. As I first walked in a customer seen the confused look on my face & explained what to do. I walked towards the back & the owner was there & helped us figure out what to do & after he left I even had to ask about how to use the dryer & another employee was so kind to us. Overall you should definitely use this place, they go above & beyond for their customers & the customers in their are just as wonderful as the owner & his employees.

Trey and his staff are so welcoming and helpful. The facilities are always neat and clean, and I love that there are multiple sizes of both washers and dryers to choose from. And I never need to have cash on hand--with my debit card, I can easily add money to my laundering card, which is super-convenient. Express Laundry is my go-to any time I'm overwhelmed with the pile-up at home. Recommend it highly!

I have lived in Charlottesville for 2 years and this is the only laundry facility I've ever used, the staff is so awesome and friendly. The place is quiet, clean and laid back. The drop off service is great, they fold my clothes which is why I drop my clothes off, I hate folding my clothes. Thank you guys you're awesome

With our dryer on the fritz I found myself in need of a laundromat. After reading the reviews I thought I would check out Express Laundry Center. So glad I did! Trey the owner was so kind. He helped me in and out with 5 baskets full of laundry. Showed me the machines, how they worked, even recommended which machines to use for the laundry I had. They have these fantastic swipe cards that you load with your credit/ debit card then with one swipe on the machine your laundry is on its was to being clean! The dryers work the same way. The entire place was clean, free of trash and tidy. With plenty of seating. The parking lot was easy to navigate with a bench outside for seating. Free wifi and clean restrooms. Definitely not what you think of a laundromat! It was a nice get-a-way from all the hustle and bustle of life... I may be back even after the dryer gets fixed. They also have drop off service!

We subscribe to the weekly laundry service offered called "the mother load" They pick up and drop off right at my sons house . They coordinate everything with him and allow him to focus on his studies. All we have to do is pay Ha Ha. The cost compared to buying detergents and time etc really make it worth while and our son is doing great academically and socially too. I highly recommend Express Laundry and the mother load!

This is a great place to do laundry! They are right near UVA grounds and offer lots of machines, from small to large, that wash really well. Washes are about 20 mins and drying takes from 20-30 mins. The place is very clean and tidy, and they have free coffee and wifi in the waiting area, and have detergent for sale at the back. Today was my first time here and Trey, the owner, was extremely helpful, making everything extremely easy. I will definitely be back.

I dropped off clothes on several occasions last Spring at Express Laundry center. They did a fantastic job. With a family of 6 and many guests coming through our laundry gets backed up to the point of no return, and it is great to be able to drop off in that situation. They also stock most major detergents, so I did not even have to bring my own (we are partial to Gain). I will continue to use this service when need be.

So my review probably doesn't count for much since for full disclosure I am a former employee. BUT, I can say it's a wonderful place to be for the time it takes to do your laundry. Everyone working there is extremely kind and legitimately dedicated to helping customers. They work hard to maintain the place and will do their best to help you with anything you need. You won't find a better atmosphere, or laundry mat :)

The staff at the Express Laundry Center is and has always been top notch. No matter what time of day or type of weather, the staff are always helpful and willing to bring my clothes in from my vehicle. The facility is always clean - including the floors, washing machines, tables, dryers and restrooms. I have tried several other facilities in the Charlottesville and Scottsville area and will only use Express Laundry Center. The pricing is completely acceptable and much less than other facilities. Once again thank you to the staff at the center.

What a great discovery! Near UVA. Best laundry mat in town. This place is locally owned so you know it's well taken care of. We do our large comforters in the oversized machines in no time. When I'm a little behind on weekly laundry, I can wash, dry and fold all of it in less than an hour! (We're a family of 5!) This place also offers a laundry service.
