We had a plumbing disaster in an upstairs bedroom...water raining down through the ceiling, down the steps all the way into the basement. This also happened to be the day after Portland had its historic snow storm of 2017. We called our insurance and they immediately said they would send ServPro over. Living in the hills, our road was unplowed and there were several stuck cars but, that did not stop Daniel and his team from getting to our house. Two sets of tire chains and they were up our hill and at our house! They immediately assessed the damage and set up their drying system on our wood floors, plugged in dehumidifiers and took samples for asbestos testing. Once the test results came back they were able to set up fans to help with the drying system. Throughout the week, Daniel and his crew of Charlie, Hailey, Randy and Melinda came by every day to check on the drying process, remove drywall and carpet. Each time before they left, they always cleaned up and, even when the roads were heavy with snow and ice, they still managed to get to us. Now, we are in the process of getting bids on the work needing to be done. However, we are very pleased with the initial care and work that ServPro SW did and we are hopeful they managed to rescue our flooring from further damage. I am sure we will continue to have contact throughout the restoration process, but, thank you Daniel and all at ServPro! You put our minds at ease during a frantic, stressful time in our house and you took care of us as if it were your home.

Did work on my neighbors house and let all the water drain into my yard. Also blocked my easement road by parking on it. Edit: I honestly did not appreciate the lack of courtesy your company displayed by allowing water to run into my yard for quite a while. Then, to say that you didn’t notice the “disconnect” was flat out untrue. You had at least 4 guys working and it was in their walking path as it was right towards the end of your van. Then when I asked what it was that was pooling in my yard, you also gave me another answer that also wasn’t very believable. You claimed it to be clean water, but it was filmy and slippery. Then, the problem wasn’t even corrected until I suggested that you run it in my neighbors yard. This conversation is the reason I left a review in the first place. I feel that your misrepresentation of this issue was (and continues to be) dishonest. As for the parking situation, you were blocking an easement road and mailboxes. I’m sorry that you were told to park there, but some common sense should have made you realize that wasn’t okay. I’m sorry that my neighbors had an emergency but that still doesn’t mean that you should completely disregard the other neighbors in the surrounding area. I have updated my review as you did correct the problem, however, I personally find you to be someone that can’t take accountability and would not use your company because of this.

These guys are superheroes! We came home to a foot of water in our basement late one afternoon, and SERVPRO of Southwest Portland was our first phone call. Despite the late hour, Melinda, Randy, T, and Daniel were on site within 45 minutes and took charge of correcting what, for us, was a major calamity. They stayed late into the evening that first night and returned to the house many times, including on weekends, working tirelessly to save our home, salvage our belongings, and restore our peace of mind. Some of the many things that they did included vacuuming/pumping out water, moving belongings/heavy furniture up and down stairs and, as appropriate, to an off-site drying chamber, decontaminating and drying everything out, documenting/photographing losses for insurance purposes, propping up our sagging spirits, pulling up ruined carpets, "flood-cutting" damaged walls, hauling away debris, power-washing floors, and leaving everything spic and span at the end. Our basement is cleaner now than it has ever been. We could never have managed without our SERVPRO team, and we could not be more grateful for their competence, dedication, and professionalism. Indeed, they knocked our socks off, not just because of the physical strength, know-how, and industrial equipment that they brought to the task, as indispensable as those things were, but because of the empathy with which each member of the team approached our little catastrophe. They could not have been more invested in the results if it had been their own homes that flooded. Communication, honesty, and reliability were all superb. We had absolutely no concerns about turning over the keys to our house and felt like our family grew a little bit bigger. It is clear that the SERVPRO folks take great pride in the service that they provide (which, incidentally, is offered 24 hours a day/365 days a year). They should be proud. They are magnificent!

Our flood damage started on 11/17/17. Gone from home 90mintues and water everywhere!!! Daniel and crew were here within 30 minutes!! It took 4 days of drying to get us back in our home! The place up and down dried out and is know ready for restoration. New laminate is coming next week, plumber fixed water leak. The celeiling tile is coming as well. Daniel cut several holes in ceiling in the downstairs party room! The taper and painter did an excellent job to make the ceiling brand new! All in all it could have much worse! Thanks to Daniel and crew Servpro made this trying situation resolve in a professional and courtesous manner... They were on time, communicated every step of the way and even came by after hours to check on the drying process. Everyone on the crew was professional and courteous. They'll be there within no time and can save you literally thousands in otherwise irreparable damage. Dawn really cares about the people she works with. She has a great personal touch and is available 24-7 to take your call. You can't go wrong with ServPro, they no what they're doing and they've been the business a long time. Highly recommended.

ServPro SW did an outstanding job on our kitchen flood. They were at our house within an hour and a half after my call to help with clean up, haul out wet insulation and HVAC tubing and start up equipment to help dry out our floors, cabinetry, dry wall and crawl space. Richard was great at explaining what was happening and making sure I felt comfortable with the process. The flood happened on a Friday but they had a tech come to our house on Sat. & Sun. to make sure things were working well and move equipment to other spots that needed drying. I would highly recommend this location and would definitely use them again if god forbid we had another incident happen at our house.
