its a laundry mat that makes you pay to buy a card to put cash on. then pretty sure the water amount used was lower then it should have been. especially for a 20 lbs system. person is on site sitting almost hiding until she feels the need to wipe or clean exactly where your clothes are. definitely not coming back

My washer a home broke so to the laundry mat I went. Most of the machines out of order. Washer did not work and all I got was call the number. It was clean but over priced considering I did not get my laundry clean.

If I could rate less than 1 star I would. The card system is a rip off, half the washers were out of order and the number to call is an answering service. The owner never got back to me. If I hadn't been able to resell the $5 card to someone at the laundromat I'd have list that money. Absolutely the worst laundry experuence ever. And I travel aroubd the country so I've had plentybof experience. Oh, and the showers are locked so you cant yse them. Do yourself a favor and go to the other laundromat behind the thrift store for laundry and showers. It's at 37th street and 101. They've got a helpful guy there who addresses any problems and the shower is just fine. They'll even give you a towel to use.

We used this place about 4 times and finally found a better one down the street at 37th Street Laundry. The attendant at Green Lightning hovered, they use a card system that does not allow for either a refund if you buy too much or a receipt if you need to submit for reimbursements, and the wash and dry prices are higher than the other local stores. The place is clean -- only because not many people are using it. We'll travel further down the road to use another laundromat because it's a better value in cost, cleanliness, and ease of resolve in case of any malfunction.

For the person who stole my girlfriend's Make Art Not War, Obey brand, zip up hoodie from the Green Lightning laundry mat a while back. I wish you could know how much heartache this has caused. Sometimes the most seemingly insignificant things have far more value than their monetary worth. (I believe this was a female staff). Also, I hope that you are out there reading this. I want you to know that I hope every single day to run into you wearing this in public. Xl- black, mens, with white zip. If anyone happens to know of this. I would pay $$ for it's return.

A lot of broken machines. Does not take cash you have to purchase their card and they charge .49 cents to use the card. Attendant does the best he can to help but he has to deal with a lot of complaints.

If you are an unfortunate traveler that has stumbled upon Florence and you are desperate to clean your dirty clothes you would better off to wash your clothes in the river than to step a foot into this "laundromat". What a scam! This place should be reported to the BBB for stealing customers money. You have to purchase a card (costing you 50 cents...really!!) to use the washers and dryers. We had trouble finding a washer that actually would read our card. We only had a $20 bill. There is a change machine that would make change, but it was "conveniently" out of order as were the bathrooms. The machine greedily took our money. Of course, after you load money onto this card you have no option to redeem your money. We only had one load of laundry to wash and dry. The dryer wouldnt allow us to select an amount of dry time. It's "conveniently" programmed to steal your money. I would say this place is "convenient" at stealing your money if you are just traveling through. But hay, if you live here more power to you.

Charge 49 cents out of a 5.00 bill to by their card. Charge 5.35 for a triple load washer, so the card you bought doesn't work, insufficient funds so bought another 5.00 card lost another 49 cents wouldnt take the 2 cards for a total...after another purchase of 2 more cards to wash clothes, spent a total of 16.00, no refund available, no attendant. WORST LAUNDROMAT EVER. TOTAL RIP. SHAME ON THEM.

Been living in this town for two yrs now been doing my laundry here for those past two yrs. Over time these machines have gone out of service. And I mean (OUT of SERVICE) (SYSTEM DOWN) AND AS THEY GO out of service who ever runs the place is litterly going up on the price of these machines. Nobody is ever there running the place and if the place ever gets clean it seems like it gets clean once a week. I have never seen one person there running the place in over two yrs. IV lost so much money using these machines. I Called a few times and never got a reply.

A number of broken machines including the soap and laundry products machine. This is the only place in America right now where everyone can get a green card. But the cards won't work without several tries and will not grant access to the bathrooms. Four available but no luck yet getting in. No access to water to rinse or wash your hands. Maybe a bolt of green lightening would give this place a jolt of improvement!

Spent $60 just to do 4 loads. Most machines out of order. The driers take money off card without working. This place sucks. Just wash your clothes in the sink at home you will have better luck.

If I could, I would give this place ZERO stars! Always have multiple machines out of order. Lost money, on washing machines that didn't work. Watched a elderly man get his clothes locked in the washing machine, w/NO answer, again, from the phone # they provide. My husband called their # to get our money back from these broken machines...they never called back. Not sure how they are still in business. Thanks for inspiring us to buy our washer & dryer sooner rather than later!!

This is the poorest ran laundromat chain on the Oregon coast! They are over priced and have awful service when you have an issue. I used the super load washing machine that cost $14. Went to switch my clothes to the dryer and found that our clothes never got washed! They were dry and still dirty! Not only did I waste money on this place but I wasted a lot of soap and time even bothering with the whole place. I have called several times to speak to somebody about the issue and have not yet gotten a return phone call or a reimbursement for the money the machine took. In my opinion to any one- take your laundry down the road. There is a nice family run place not to far from this one that helps when there’s an issue. Don’t use this facility!

Change machine took a 20 and only gave me 15 back because it ran out of change been trying to get the 5 back for a couple months. And was shorted about 12 dollars after one of the dryers double charged my card. Call center is doing their best but all they can do is text the owner who at this point owes me about 17 and has still yet to call me back.

Over priced. More than half of the machines are out of order. The person on duty takes your clothing out of the machines if she feels like it. Been here several times, always treated like garbage. Really wish there was a better place to do my family's laundry.

Half the machines are usually out of order. The ones that do work don't use enough water. The card payment system they use has taken money from me and not credited the card. If not for lack of options, this store would go out of business. Signs of homeless hanging out.

Spotless and easy access. Price has increased over 6 years and it "feels" like it's really expensive per load. The Owner of all Green Lightning Laundromats needs to get a tech to work on ALL of his locations! So many units not working! Then, the ones that do work, it sometimes takes 20 times for card reader to work! Frustrating! Have been in 3 different locations. All were very clean! Kudos to the attendants!

Every single time I come, something is out of order. There are never any people to assist with issues. Machines never work properly. For the price you pay, you would expect decent service

At first, the facility looks nice and you can tell it's maintained. Then you learn you cannot use quarters and you have to buy their own plastic card to use their machines. You have to pay to purchase the card (what a rip off, right?), then you have to add money to the card. You cannot add the exact amount you need because none of the machines are even amounts. It may cost you $8.55 for a washing machine, then $3.75 for a dryer. No matter how you look at it, you are left over with money on the card you had to buy. I would never recommend going to this location. This is a horrible laundromat. We ended up doing 4 loads of laundry and it cost us almost $50.00. A few of the machines ate our money off of the plastic card and there's no way to get it back. It would be nice if the owner would contact us and offer a refund.

You can never say you were not warned if you read these reviews yet still roll their loaded dice. It is such a bummer when you want to give a place your business but everyone gets to a point....... The other day was that day - one of the few remaining washers broke with an elderly mans stuff locked inside. 10min later it was still locked and the supplied phone number was an automated message, his items were still being held hostage as my wife left - he had no hope of any communication at that point. GL could keep our business still if they would at least repair half of the broken units - just half for all we cared, leave the other half of their pay for nothing coin op personal piggie banks. But I strongly feel we are going to purchase a new washer and drier at this point. If you are here when the place is empty so you have 3 washers and driers to yourself they are clean and the entire place looks cared for until you see all the out of order signs. Then you wonder and hope things work out with your money that was just deposited on their required payment card system. ---------------------------- Update ----------------------------- ***** after months of their mssgr service leaving messages for the owner**** I give up!!!!! You can keep the cash we gave on your electronic card we will never use. You can also keep the money collected from your water being turned off (no signs) when you left the machines on to collect anyway... why you never returned our messages that gave you the benefit of our doubt for far too long we no longer care. But most of all the things you can keep - keep the reputation you have worked so hard at avoiding - YOU HAVE EARNED IT!! !! --------------------------------------------------------------------- I would not be shocked to see the owner of this place down the street doing their own laundry there. So do yourself a favor & drive north on 101 - turn right at 37th Street Coin Laundry - they are next to the wood carver gallery. We ended up using 37th street until we bought our washer/dryer. You only have 2 choices here in town and one of those will cost you extra money for sure.
