Unfortunately, magic city laundry is the only dry cleaners in town. I went to the shop on North Broadway, when I went inside I was seriously grossed out. The floor was filthy and they had people's clothing laying on the floor.. Not even in bags to keep them clean or from getting dirtier before the cleaning. I'm not saying their cleaning sucks, I can clearly see that people trust them and they get a lot of business. But I took a $400.00 down comforter to be cleaned (white,) and as soon as I walked in I immediately thought "hell no," the front room should be clean and presentable to customers.. That place looked like it had been abandoned with squatters.. The last place I want to trust to clean an expensive white comforter is a place that isn't clean and puts their customers items on the floor... That being said no one even came out to greet me or talk to me about services so I left. A man came running out to stop me and I just told him I would be going somewhere else.. So I went to the cleaners on the south side of town.. That place isn't any better. First, it smells like cat piss, secondly, the lady at the desk didn't even greet or make eye contact with me until I set my items on the counter. Then she told me all the items get sent up to the north location and that it would take a week. Again, I am sure they do a good job, but they should really try and make the front office clean and presentable.

WARNING!!! Do NOT ever take anything you care about or is important to you to CITY LAUNDRY in Minot ND. I took my daughters 1st communion dress in to have the wrinkles steamed out of it, picked it up at 11:30 on Saturday April 20, 2013 and it looked terrible!!!! Wrinkles everywhere. I took it out of the bag before leaving the shop and pointed it out to the employee. She said they could work on it some more but the plant doesn't work on Saturday... Hello, the 1st communion was on Sunday April 21,2013! I had to spend $70 dollars on top of the $20 I paid city laundry to buy a steamer and spent an hour and a half doing it myself Saturday night. The owner of city laundry BRIANA would do nothing for me on Monday when I came in and showed her the pictures and complained she just kept telling me they could redo it!!! Am I supposed to "redo" first communion? She accused me of leaving it in the bag for two days and that caused the wrinkles. Hello how dumb are you? I picked it up at 11:30 on Saturday showed your employee the wrinkles, she wrote down my complaint for you before I even left the shop, I went home and immediately took the pictures that I showed you and my daughter had to be dressed by10:00am on Sunday. What kind of math adds that up to two days?!? Go back to school BRIANA!!! Then I had the gall to be upset so she kicked me out of her shop!!! Repost this people if you want to save others major disappointment and getting robbed by a business that doesn't provide the services they charged you for!!

A Bit of Heaven Weddings

I own a wedding decorating business. I have proof on my receipt that my draperies would be done Thursday @ 4:00. I told the attendant I would pick them up Friday morning. Half of them were not done on Friday morning when my associate went to pick them up. Furthermore, they messaged me earlier in the week and said they were done! They did not say HALF were done! This was a huge inconvenience as well as a financial burden because employees had to wait for the curtains to be done Friday @ 4:00. They manager/owner said the attendant gave me the wrong information, as this was an estimate, (which it did not say on the receipt), AND I did not sign anything that said this was an estimate. It CLEARLY said "THURS. 4:00". You are RESPONSIBLE for your employee, and what I was told. This was the first time I had taken anything to you and it was because our wedding load has become so large that we can not manage it all ourselves. I would have brought you 50 tablecloths on Monday, but am very disappointed.

They did a great job cleaning my delicate beaded dress. I was a little surprised to see the clerk throw the dress on the floor as I was leaving to "sort" it though. However, my dress is no worse for wear, the price was reasonable and it was done in a few days. I will use their service again.

I have never been treated so poorly at any other business. For being that they contract out from the a.f base they sure have awful customer service. I was called a liar after talking with her on the phone. Go somewhere else!!!
