I will never come here again, though I've been mainly doing my laundry here for years. The owner basically called me a liar and refused me service. I am in shock. truly. They have a policy in which they don't want you drying clothing there that has not been washed there. I get this and actually appreciate this! So I went in Monday evening with my two pillows that were still wet, that I had washed there Saturday morning. I assumed they would honor the fact that it was part of the wash I'd already done there. (You know it just occurred to me maybe there dryers are poorly maintained and don't work properly which is why they have to make such rules and as well remove people's laundry before it's done, as noted in another comment here) I went in and explained this to the owner, assuming he would be accommodating, even adding would he perhaps have some tennis balls I could use for this. He wasn't there on saturday when I was there. He started drilling.- first what time did I come. I told him. I said you weren't here- there were three women here. He said there were only two, so my story was fishy, and further, why would I wait so long. He wanted me to wash them all over again. I said it wasn't necessary, I've been fluffing them all along and surprised they were still not dry. I had asked his staffer how long I should leave them in , she said 35 minutes, so I did 40. Thing is, he clearly didn't like my story or believe me, so if I were a liar, why would I stick with it? I 'm simply telling him what happened. and just astonished that he refused to let me finish drying my laundry there! I'm incredibly honest and shocked if called a liar. I had said to him, I come here all the time, don't you remember me? He said no that's fine. I'm someone who always says please and thank you when I leave, and buy soap there, and get change , many, many, interactions with him. If he can't be bothered to remember his clients, bad on him. He'd pretty much made up his mind from the get go- which makes me wonder- if I looked less like an arty Puerto Rican woman, and more like an Ivy league white man, would his response have been different? Well he did me a favor, as the place I went to finish drying my pillows, was cleaner, newer machines, thus quieter, and didn't smell like death right outside. I found a better place to do my laundry from now on! thank you!. Clearly the owner couldn't care less. Couldn't even discriminate what is the truth or lie, or just be a bit kind and say oh just go ahead and use the dryer. His dryers are defective. Actually, machines as well! The last time I did my wash, the soap didn't drop down during the prewash, I had to use water to manually get the soap into the washing.
He does not deserve my business.
