DESCRIPTION

We offer you the information of real people who know the products of Long Giang Dang Laundromat (Laundry) in the area close to New York.

Right now this business receives a score of 2.5 over 5 and the rating is based on 19 reviews.

You may have noticed that its rating is quite low, and it's founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may say that the score is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy, it works.

You know that we don't usually stop to give feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

This Laundry is included in the category of Laundromat.

REVIEWS OF Long Giang Dang Laundromat IN New York

I've been coming to this laundromat for quite sometime now - and I must say, the old lady with red hair is incredibly rude! I'm not sure if she is an owner, the owner of the building, a friend of the staff or an employee, but she really needs to take it down a level. She's so quick to yell at you to get out of the way so people can get through (even if you're the only person in there), if you stand outside of the laundromat be prepared to get yelled at. Also if you sit near the window inside the laundromat sometimes she yells because she thinks you're going to break it. Once and a great while you may catch her in a good mood, but it's safe to say 99% of the time she's down right awful. As for the rest of the staff, they are very nice! My suggestion is go in throw your laundry in a machine and get out as fast as possible so you don't have to hear that old lady's mouth.

Yes, the little round, old woman, is an ancestor to the dark prince himself. My family and I were enjoying some delicious bagels next door under the awning, when I witnessed her chase off unsuspecting pedestrians who were unfortunate enough to have stopped in front of her store. She actually spit on the ground at a group of girls, and banged her trash can against the wall. The underworld mother then began watering the sidewalk with a small container of scented water. She sloppily tossed water on to her little trash can and got me wet and my daughter's purse. I wanted to counter attack, but I realized I had left my rations of holy water back at the hotel. I'll get you next time, grandmother of Satan!!

I couldn't agree more with the other 2 reviews. "Santan's Grandmother" is the perfect description for the owner. It's too bad because the Asian ladies working there are pretty nice, but the owner is as nasty as they come. Last time I was there, it was pouring out and a guy ducked under the awning to get out of the thunder and rain for a little bit and of course she went outside to tell him that he could not stand in front of her store. She made him get back into the pouring rain. Then of course, she was yelling at everyone that walks into her laundromat to put their umbrellas in a dirty bucket that she put out. She even asked me to leave and come back because I had 30 minutes until my wash was done. Are you kidding me? I tried the laundromat on Mott as suggested below and it is way better. The space is bigger and machines are cleaner. Santan's Grandmother's machines are old and most of them are moldy and rusting. The one on Mott charges the same price anyway.

Machines are fine, prices are ok, owner is really rude and won’t let you do use the bathroom. Meh.

The old lady here started shouting at me for standing outside. Turns out she doesn’t even own the laundromat (that’s why I gave the place 5 stars), she’s just bat sh*t crazy. If you see her, say “it’s actually you who is loitering you loiterer” (then run away, she’s probably not that quick).

This place is so horrible. I live around the corner and used them for the first couple months after I moved in. They're extremely rude! It was almost like they went out of their way to fold all of my clothing inside out and the dry cleaning service is very poor quality - I had to take 3 shirts to get dry cleaned AGAIN elsewhere after this place because it seemed like they just ironed the dirty clothes and put them on a Thank You hanger. The final straw for me was my last visit when they lost a pair of jeans I had dropped off for wash and fold with same day pick up. The older woman (who is the worst of the three) suddenly couldn't understand what I was saying anymore when I asked to be partially refunded (these were $150 jeans!) and completely ignored me while I stood in front of her. I went back on two separate days and had interactions with the other two employees in an effort to sort out the situation and they both said to come back again AND that it was somehow my fault. Literally useless...avoid this place if you want clean clothes and don't enjoy dealing with incompetent people!

2016: Sadly, satan's grandmother is still hanging around. I've been going to this place for six years and I finally confronted "Satan's Grandmother" yesterday. She threatened to call the cops on a couple kissing under the awning in the rain because "The awning is for the customers. This is a business." How soulless can a human being be? She's a horrible person. What are you an oil company? The other women that work here are cordial good hearted people but this evil troll should be avoided at all costs. Or better yet, come and do your laundry and completely ignore her when she gives you BS. That's what I do. I'm not even sure she owns the laundromt. She might own the building or something.

Poor service, the staff is rude and they stole my laundry garbage bag and then charged me a quarter for a new one! Super sketchy dont come here

The old woman here is definitely a racist. My friends and I were wating uber in front of this place. This terrible old woman suddenly came out, splashing water to us, spitting on the ground and talking about "this is a private property, get out you fxxx Japanese!" It made no sense! We were standing on the street how it became private? Also we are actually Chinese so just because we have Asian face then you did such a disgusting thing to us? It's totally unacceptable! My suggestion is avoiding this place until this devil gone, or I don't know what horrible thing she can do to you.

Place is gross, outdated machines, staff is unbelievably rude. Only went here because my usual place was packed. Won’t be returning

The review below could not be more spot on. This place has all the frustrating features of a Chinese laundromat: put their clock forward 10 minutes but say they close at 8pm take your clothes out of the machines the minute they finish, regardless of the fact there are another dozen spares give blank and/or defensive looks when items go missing, and award winning indifference. But the defining characteristic of Long Dang is indeed the owner, who is likely to be Satan's grandmother. She is equal parts crazy and caustic, and she interferes with every person and any action they take. You cannot sit/stand/fold/pile/move/unpack or perform any generic washing task without her sticking her irritating voice and nose in. The list of invisible rules is immeasurable, and even look like breaking one gets the wrath of this devil-esque laundro-matriarch. I've rarely come across someone so deserving of being set on fire, and I've not blown out a birthday candle once in 3 years where i didn't wish she be court ordered never to speak again. She is easy to spot.. walk into the place, she'll be the one trailing you, clicking her fingers and calling 'laady, laady' in a nasal wise, whereupon she'll inform you not to use too much powder/too little powder/too much of her oxygen/coins too shiny etc.
