I have tried other Laundromats and this is the best by far! I even bring my shirts here and other sensitive material clothes even though there is a Cleaners next door lol. The Laundromat is Clean. The Employees are great. So far, I have received great service. ATM is available inside. The music is always upbeat! Quick Drop off Service turn around – tried both drop off and self-service – loved both but decided to do drop offs in future. My clothes are always clean and they fold amazing. Brought a couple shirts in – ironing is not a problem! I liked doing my own laundry as well but drop off is just so much easier and convenient. I noticed the machines are brand new as well. Over all, I recommend the place and I am a detail oriented clean freak lol.

I recently moved into the East Village and saw other good reviews on Google, so I decided to give the delivery service a try. They are extremely nice and helpful, and respond very quickly to all of my questions and requests over text. My clothes are picked up in the morning and dropped off later the same day at my apartment, right at the time I scheduled. The clothes come back clean and neatly folded - would definitely recommend to anyone in the neighborhood!

Very Reliable laundromat in the area! I like their easy and convenient drop off service. I’ve tried many “free pick up and delivery” places and neither were at par to this place! Wanted to add that I spoke to owner today - pleasant guy, who mentioned that they are implementing pick up & delivery in a few weeks due to demand! Great news!

This laundromat is the BEST in the East Village! I tried several different laundromats when I first moved to the neighborhood 2 years ago and this one is the best by far!! I walk 6 blocks to get there and it's 100% worth it. It's very clean inside and the staff is incredibly friendly. There's plenty of space, tables and free wifi with plenty of machines if you want to stay and wait for your laundry to be done (it saved me in grad school) but now that I'm working full time, I've fallen in love with their wash and fold and delivery services. Everything has been perfectly cleaned and taken care of every time. I've never lost any of my belongings and everything comes back nicely folded. It's so easy to schedule pick-up and drop-off times (through a text!). They even will hang dry items if they notice they're more delicate in your laundry bag. I'm so so happy with their service!

Previous owner got a lot of slack for taking her job too seriously, but the place ran like clockwork. New owner drops by like a bank robber to collect bags of cash yet never cares to spend any of it to fix the perpetually out of service machines. Past 6 months I've had better odds in Russian roulette than showing up to find an available large machine that didn't have a "please use others" sign. Maybe he incorrectly assumes people will just pay double by splitting their loads between smaller machines instead.

Neighborhood Gem! Top notch door to door service! First off let me just say that I work in customer service and the experience I had you just cannot beat!! I recently moved into the neighborhood and was in desperate need to launder my clothes. As fast as I called to request pick up, that’s how fast I got my clothes back. Not only was it perfectly folded, it smelled clean and fresh, packed and neatly assorted. I highly recommend this place. Thank you again for making this a great experience.

Been using Gentle Wash Laundromat for over 2 years for Drop Off Service. One word to describe? AMAZING! I do use them for self service when I have time and I like their clean new machines. I don't see out of service machines really as Erin Irizarry mentioned in the review below... I do see the owners in store and noticeably they are customer-oriented folks. At the end of the day, with rising costs, rents, water, electric/gas bills, I gotta say their prices are very fair and I am all for keeping local businesses in the area to continue to run! (Although I do see MANY “For Rent” signs in the area unfortunately.) My clothes always come back neatly folded and smelling great! Thank you for reading!

I utilized their pick up service and was completely satisfied. They were able to pick up my laundry first thing in the morning and drop it off that evening. Prices are comparable to other spots in the east village. Everything is clean and they took good care of the items. I’ll definitely be using their services again in the future.

If you care about your clothes, then go to this Laundromat! Very convenient, fast and easy drop-off service as others mentioned in their reviews already. In the past, the other Laundromats I used charged a fee for same day service, NOT THIS ONE! Staff is polite and definitely hard working – I do see it. They just redid the inside front of the store a bit and it looks fresh! I actually asked the owner for ideas for my apartment lol. I am glad the owners are meticulous about appearance of the store! I’ve been using Gentle Wash Laundromat and will continue to do so!

Stayed over my girlfriends house and decided to do my laundry. This place has everything. Dropped off at 9 am and came back to pick it up the same day at 5 pm. It was ready and I must say it was pleasant to see quality combined with fast service. I will definitely recommend this service to everyone.

Used to travel 8 blocks to drop off my laundry here. Now that they offer Pickup/Delivery I use that service. There are at least 2 other laundromats between where I live and Gentle Wash Laundromat but the service I get is unbeatable!

First, the job anyone does speaks louder then any words or review. And the job they've done at Gentle Wash Laundromat was phenomenal! I dropped off a bag (28lbs) in the morning around 10:30 AM and asked for it to be ready same day which it was! And it was quality service - my clothes smelled fresh and the folding job was extraordinary! First time using this laundromat for drop off service, FOR SURE not the last time!

One of the best, cleanest, and most courteous laundromats in the neighborhood (if not THE best). My favorite feature, compared to other spots nearby, is the drop-off counter at the front of the establishment. Never realized how something small like the convenient placement of the counter in front instead of all the way in the back can make such a big difference when I need to drop and go. Well lit, machines always in excellent working order, plenty of chairs to sit while you wait, free WiFi, and other amenities. I’ve actually parked myself in here for a couple of hours to work while catching up on doing loads of laundry after a few busy weeks.

Tried a few laundromats in the area before stepping in to this one. Their drop off service is excellent. New Machines, beautiful folding job, clean place and nice owners! The place has an ATM machine on premises. They hand iron shirts as well for those who need it. My boyfriend uses their shirt service all the time now, which is very reasonably priced. I really like that the folding tables and floors are clean, and they have free WiFi. Snack machine is always well stocked with my favorite goodies. This is a safe neighborhood with no bums in the area by the laundromat. Definitely my to go spot now! Oh, and they are open late, till 11:30 PM which is very convenient for my busy schedule!
