I was visiting Taos and I had some soap with me, all natural in a plastic bottle. It solidified in winter temp so I put it in the microwave for 30 sec. That is when all heck broke loose. This woman came up to me, and scolded me in such an angry manner, saying how people use that for food, how dare I... I explained to her it was all natural and I wasn't cooking it, just warming it. She was very rude and hateful about it. The women working there didnt seem to mind her, but what are ya gonna do, she is probs a regular. They offered me a bucket with hot water to warm the soap. They had seen me using the microwave earlier and didn't care. They were really nice.

This is the best laundromat in town, giving you 8 minutes for every quarter in a dryer. I tried the competition and while newer it was filthy, and dryers only gives 6 minutes for a quarter. Pinch Penny is also very clean. The manager is constantly sweeping and picking up. The competition was filthy, gross bathroom, and the attendant almost never looked up from his cell phone. I never saw him clean. He was useless. Pinch Penny also has vending machines and a parking lot, missing at the other one. I'll always go to Pinch Penny.

Super manager running the place. She apologized for the very clean place being dirty! Working machines in great condition with only three dryers being down. Highly recommended!

We love the Penny Pinch when we are extended stay in Taos without facilities. Mainly for the Video Games but its so cool that they have a bin for free clothes that you can take from or donate to. Lots of washers and dryers too.

I had a great first-timers experience here last week. The woman overseeing the site was so friendly and helpful, even going above and beyond to give me a free wash when there was too much soap remaining in my washers after the final rinse. Another patron was very friendly, helpful, and patient with my questions, and yes, the bathroom door does lock when you shut it. I do agree a sink with soap and paper towels in there would be nice! I absolutely hate doing laundry in a public place, and haven't had to do so for decades, but for the time being here in Taos, it's a reality. I felt OK about trying this place due to the good reviews, so I wanted to leave one of my own to encourage others to give it a shot.
