I wanted to start my review by saying I have been super patient with Cleaners of New Mexico. I have also appreciated their pricing and service up until this point. Here is the back story. I have to travel for work and I occasionally need my Levi jeans dry cleaned. I never wash my Levi jeans I only opt to have them dry cleaned. Well I was planning a trip and had dropped off two pairs of Levi 501’s to have dry cleaned. They asked if I wanted the crease and like always I said no thanks. A few days later I arrived, picked up my jeans and went home. I noticed when I took my jeans out of the plastic both of them had been machine washed and were shrunk, one of the pairs was also creased. I called the store front to file a complaint and the girl working the counter asked me to return the jeans so they could inspect them. I did so and she advised that management would be calling me back for a resolution. I then had to go buy two new pair of jeans for my business trip and kept my receipt. Two pairs of Levi 501’s with tax from jcpenneys is $107.07. I went on my business trip and did not receive a call. I called back and asked them about my case. The girl on the phone said someone from management would be calling me. I waited another week and still hadn’t received a phone call. I called back again and the girl said she would reach out to the management to see if they were going to call. Finally, I received a voicemail from management asking them to call them back. I called and they asked me to bring the receipt in and advised they would reimburse me. I went into the store today and showed my receipt but the girl working the desk said they were only going to reimburse one pair because they said I had previously washed the other pair. The same pair they washed and creased. I continue to dispute that I never washed them. I have a washer and dryer in my house. I wouldn’t take jeans somewhere for them to wash them, plus I don’t machine wash my Levi 501’s because they will shrink. Today, they told me again to contact Cecilia who is not returning my phone calls. I place this review in google because I am disappointed in the lack of customer service, respect, and lack of ownership for a mistake that was obviously done by someone who wasn’t paying attention to their work. Someone washed my jeans, shrunk them and Cleaners of New Mexico is not taking responsibility to make it right for the customer. I am still waiting on a phone call from the management team to reimburse me the cost of both jeans. I don’t think it’s hard to take care of customers, however it might be for Cleaners of New Mexico. It’s a true disappointment as I did like using them for my dry cleaning services. I will have to find another company that I can use. For now I wait for a phone call. Going on 4 plus weeks with no resolution and a ton of back and forth. Beware with this company. They might ruin your clothes and then blame it on you! This does not make me feel good about returning my service.
