They were excellent. Got everything taken care of last minute, fast, and for a reasonable price. Wine stain removed from a white shirt. I would highly recommend this business and I plan to use them again. Also there is a parking lot for customers.

This plaxe dry cleaned 5 of my stained white button down waitstaff uniform shirts and got the wine, chocolate, and ink stains out and pressed them-- in one day! The shirts look brand new!! Their laundromat is good too. Staff is very helpful. Thanks for great service, I'll be back again!

I don’t know why people are rating this place highly for dry cleaning —they do not do the cleaning, they send it elsewhere and jack up the price. Bring it elsewhere yourself and save money, plus avoid the worst, rudest, surliest, most unhelpful staff anywhere. They bark at customers, refuse simple requests, and then become angry and blame the customer who objects to such treatment. They’ll shove people out of the way to tie up machines for their drop-off clients, and give lip and attitude when a customer wants simple things such as packing laundry in the customer’s own basket or making a pot of coffee (that they advertise.) They lose clothes then get furious when asked about it. They ruined some of my clothes with an obvious bleach spill then denied all knowledge and responsibility. Do they think I put bleach-ruined things into my clean bag of clothes myself? They are the worst. Go to one of the other nearby laundries which are all less expensive and offer better service by nicer, more helpful staff.

I do not use their laundry facilities, but have been bringing my dry cleaning there for 10 years. I actually moved to Quincy from Brighton 3-1/2 years ago, but still go there as I could not find anyone that does a better job. I still work in Brighton and the fact that they are open 7am to 10pm every day still makes it convenient for me to drop off my dry cleaning before or after work and it is always ready within two days. If brought in on a Tuesday it is ready first thing Thursday. Staff is nice. The various ladies are nice and the guy John is always friendly and helpful. One small issue is two of the younger guys that work the counter. They can be a little surly and unfriendly at times, but hey, it's just dry cleaning. Still, almost said something to one of them once as he was kind of rude and acts like you are annoying him and he's doing you a big favor. I figure after 10 years I should be treated a little better, but when you see the volume of clothes being processed there, you know they have to be doing something right. High marks for efficiency, cleanliness and reasonable price.

I had an emergency my dog had urinated on my friends mom's curtains. they agreed to clean it for me, mind you i have checked 11 places in the area none wanted to help. Within 2 days, the curtains were back at their house, stain and odor free. basically, they have the best dry cleaning in boston.!!! will always keep coming back

I have been coming to this laundromat for past 2 years and spend $40 each week. That equates to over $2,000 a year. Today while I was loading the laundry into dryer, one of the workers told me to move my clothes because she needed it. That she was busy. I told her that I am the customer and there was nothing staying that the dryer was taken. I ended up moving my laundry because I did not want to make a big fuss. But this left me upset and disappointed that I willingly come to this laundromat when there is one closer to my home and is mistreated. I too, “am busy”. Sadly, I guess it is time stop going to Brighton Laundry & Dry Cleaners as they do not value their regular patrons.

Please stay away. I brought a bridesmaid dress to be altered and was charged $135 and was given back a damaged dress with subpar alterations. Service requested: Adjust straps - straps were damaged, broken and missing stones. Hem bottom - fine Take in - dress was still too big Literally in tears I took my dress to a different seamstress who told me that the alterations were so poorly done that I should go back to Brighton Laundry & Dry Cleaners and ask for a refund. When my husband and I politely and calmly tried to explain our disappointment we were told that we couldn't get a refund and that the straps of the dress were already broken. Of course this was not true and there was no way to reason with them. Realizing the conversation wasn't going anywhere we again calmly and politely retrieved the dress and exited the establishment. Brighton Laundry & Dry Cleaners Motto = the customer is always wrong.

I go here every Wednesday for the $1 WDF. You can't beat this deal! It would cost about the same for me to do it myself at the laundromat next to me ($4.25 for a small load!). Plus, my clothes always come back neatly folded (far better than the wrinkled mess I leave them in when I do it myself). Customer service is also fantastic! They're kind, prompt, and social. It's almost always same day turnaround, and most folks who work there greet me by name now. James is particularly awesome. If he sees me pull in the parking lot for pick up, he'll usually get my basket before even walk in the door!

I complained about some missing clothes and the carge of one bottle of softener that was inside my bag. They knew that the bottle was there when i left my clothes and they still charge the weight. I do not recommend this place. Also the attitude of the staff was really UNPOLITE AND UNHELPFUL. I'm disappointed. And they didn't took off the weigth of the softener...

Clean and drama free. Sometimes there is a bit of difficulty finding two machines near each other, because they do so much by the pound laundry. (Why it's not five stars) Dryer are at a reasonable temperature and don't take too long.

Great, no nonsense place to have your clothes laundered or dry-cleaned in a pinch. They're not the cheapest but provide quick turnaround and quality service. Despite their signage, they do not sell ice cream here, which I'm ok with... sort of.

On 10/12/19 I dropped off multiple bags of laundry for a wash/dry/fold service (I paid $43.50 for this service). Subsequently, later that day I came back to pick the clothes up. I then took them home to put them away/hang them up. I noticed on one of my dress shirts, that there was a very large orange stain (almost like someone poured detergent directly onto the shirt and let it sit). I then went back to the business, the same day, to notify them that they damaged my shirt. I told the gentleman at the front desk about the stain and asked if I could either file a damage claim or if they wanted to try to fix the issue they caused. The gentleman took the shirt and told me “we will take care of this for you sir, come back to pick it up Tuesday”. I had been out of town on business, so I didn’t get a chance to pick it up Tuesday, but I went in to pick it up Thursday (10/17/19). Upon arriving and presenting the slip the gentlemen had handled me previously, I was handed the shirt and told “this will be $6”. There was no mention of the damage I alleged they caused, as the prior gentlemen clearly did not take record/not of my complaint. I told the new gentleman (on 10/17/19) that I would not be paying anything, as the prior person had told me he would take care of the problem they caused. Even more troubling, the stain was not fully gone (albeit much more faint). Instead of handling the issue with proper customer service (perhaps apologizing for not registering my prior damage complain and offering to dry clean it one more time to get the stain fully out) the new gentlemen now told me “either give me $6 or give me the shirt back, otherwise I will be calling the police”. I told him I would not be paying for the service, as they caused the damage AND told me they would take care of the issue THEY caused. He then pulled the shirt away and hung it up behind the counter out of my reach. The attendant refused to provide management (telling me I had to call for that) and refused to provide their insurance information (to file a commercial insurance claim). At this point I decided to involve the police to help resolve the dispute. As I was on the phone explaining the situation to the police, the attendant attempted to yell over me and blame me for this issue. I then walked outside and sat on a bench waiting for the police to arrive. As I sat waiting for the police to arrive, the attendant came out, thrust the shirt out at me and said “take it and never come back here again”. I still sat and waited for the police. When they arrived they explained that I would have to call management for my complaint about the damages, that he was in his right to ban me, but hey at least I got my shirt back. I’m not sure how an attendant can’t have the authority to file a damage claim or provide insurance information, but someone has the right to ban someone from the business. Alas here we are. Nobody in their right mind should utilize this business for laundry service if they don’t want damaged goods or proper customer service.

They have these cards that force you to spend more moneys then you actually use and it took me over 20$ to wash and dry two loads!!! Also washing machines are tiny and only fit so much

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible service from 3 out of 3 employees I interacted with over 2 months. Dry cleaning was $22 for a short wool peacoat. Machines that add on money are "broken" and they didn't reimburse the $15+ I had on my card that no longer worked when I used it 2 weeks prior. Locked the doors 30 mins before closing and when I asked if they could unlock it so I could get through with my arms full of laundry bags, they rudely pointed to the door and told me to go all the way around the building. Poor quality machines, rude staff in severe need of customer service training.

This place has good pricing and lots of employees to wash and fold. The problem is no one cleans the floors or the machines. The detergent recepticles are often clogged and black with grime. If i drop a sock on the floor I want to rewash it rather than wear it. If there was another place in the area I wouldnt go here. Its always filthy.

My husband and I have been doing laundry here for a few months, never had a problem, we usually come in the evenings but today we came in on a Saturday morning. We loaded all of our laundry and detergent only to find that one of the machines was out of order, the machine would not unlock for us to remove our laundry so I walked up to the counter to speak to an employee by the name of John. When I told him one of the machines wasn’t working he rolled his eyes and walked over, glanced at the machine and said, “It’s out of order.” I asked, “Oh, why isn’t there a sign? He snapped and said, “BECAUSE YOU JUST TOLD ME!” I said, “Whoa, you don’t have to be rude.” He started freaking out and said I’m not being rude but you’re trying to blame us for the machine being out of order!” And stormed off like a child. Another employee walked up to see what all the yelling was about and John yelled, “Don’t listen to her, she just wants us to kiss her ass,” while waving a power drill in the air like some psycho. My husband said, “No, we just don’t want an attitude when we ask a simple question.” And John said, “Yeah, whatever,” and stormed off again. (Btw, he looks like Pauly D from Jersey Shore). I walked back over to the counter and asked for a manager and the lady said they don’t have one on site, I explained to her what happened and her response was, “Well, if you don’t like it here you can go somewhere else.” Yikes. These people give zero f-cks. On a regular basis, about 1/3 of the machines are out of order, while the other 1/3 are being used by staff that do laundry for drop offs, so really, only about 1/3 of the machines are actually available, on top of that rude staff they chew out customers because THEIR machines don’t work?! I have literally never witnessed such an angry employee, other customers were watching as if it was soap opera. I even had to say, “Ok John, we’re wrong, you’re right, it’s over.” To get him to calm down. He must’ve felt guilty because then he asked my husband if we wanted them to replace the detergent we lost, he declined. Please don’t do us any favors after you’ve chewed us out and yelled at us. But wait, there’s more! When we went to get our laundry out of the washer, two machines displayed an error message and wouldn’t unlock. The same lady said, “You see, that’s God!” and clutched the cross around her neck. (I swear I’m not making this up). Did she mean God was punishing us...or them? IDK. She turned to my husband and started bowing down to him saying, “I’m SORRY OK, I’M SORRY!” So awkward, so patronizing. I will never, ever, set foot in this place again. There’s a laundry place in Brookline with a super nice employee and I regret not driving a little further to give them my business.

First and last time here. Many machines are out of order and their system for using the machines is quite complicated with lack of instructions. I used a machine and out in a 2 cups of soap and apparently that was too much for the machine, so had to repay and re wash the clothes. Many of the staff do not provide assistant. First and last time here.

Washers are pretty expensive compared to what I'm used to. The dryers need to be on high to dry your clothes because the other settings seemed really sad. Most of the people who get their clothes washed here are super nice. For example, my first time here there was a customer who showed me how to use their card system because one of the employees refused to help. There are a few people who seem sus but they don't really bother me besides their odor, you might see some drama between the employees and a rowdy customer once in a while. Parking can be impossible during the weekends in the winter time, but at least they do have some parking available. There's usually never coffee when I'm there. If you do wash here, make sure to be super mindful of your washing and drying time if you don't feel comfortable with someone taking out your clothes because it can get pretty packed and everyone is waiting for a machine. This is also because they offer a laundry service and it consumes a considerable amount of the available machines. Also watch out for your dryer because one time someone opened the dryer while I was at CVS and when I returned, the time ran out and it didn't dry at all since the person who opened it didn't press start again.

AVOID Took two shirts for drycleaning. They tried to give me someone else's shirts. When I asked for my actual clothes back, they said they needed an hour to check the security camera. (!) Came back in an hour and they apologized. They gave me back my correct clothes, which I found had been ripped in the arms...

Despite my previous good experiences having my clothes dry cleaned here, I am shocked and disgusted by my most recent visit. I dropped off clothes for WDF on Wednesday to take advantage of their $1/per pound deal. I was told that I had 15 pounds of laundry, which is hard to believe since I BARELY had a load of laundry in my basket. As I was in a rush and needed the clothes for work, I bit the bullet and tried not to think about the fact that doing the laundry myself would have cost me 3 bucks. After being told my clothes were ready, I came in and was shocked to see that the bag of clothes I had asked them to hang dry included some clearly misplaced items that should have been put in the dryer (a pillow case, one pair of socks, an old work out t-shirt). On top of that, my clothes were still SOCKING wet and I knew that some of my nicer shirts were not hung and were put through the dryer. Since my clothes were scrunched together wet, they now have a moldy smell and have to be re-washed. I also found that underwear was left in the bag, again wet, so those have to be re-washed. It is clear that the quality of service that I had come to expect from Brighton laundry is clearly slipping. Basically, I paid 15 bucks to have to come home, re-wash and dry my clothes and re-fold everything. So what exactly did I pay for?

Can't really give more than 3 stars when the staff keeps hogging lots of dryers and washers even when it is extremely busy. Place is often super cramped and using the machines is pretty expensive.

I went here to get a zipper replaced on a jacket. I got my jacket back within a few days. The zipper was put on perfectly. There's laundry machines here as well as a TV. It's brightly lit and clean, they offer both laundromat and dry cleaning and clothing repair services, so this is a great one-stop option for all your clothing needs.

I’ve been here before and I think the service is OK. I got a blazer dry cleaned and the button repaired, and it appeared to be well cleaned and the button securely refastened (I won’t get into why a button never should have fallen off a Michael Kors blazer to begin with). I personally wasn’t disappointed and might go back again. However, if this is really the owner replying to the reviews, that’s certainly a turnoff for me. Businesses aren’t always going to be in the right, just like their patrons. But when they make errors, they need to take responsibility and apologize rather than attacking someone who might be airing a legitimate complaint. To the owner: your responses aren’t going to drive up your star rating. People aren’t likely to read the reviews as much as they are likely to see a low star rating and move on. If your patron felt attacked by an employee, you don’t have to fire the employee or even take any action at all with them, but you could at least show some humility and apologize. Maybe your act of outreach might get the patron to come back and adjust their perspective (and therefore rating) of your business. You have no chance if you criticize/attack them. Robert’s Towing does the exact same thing with customer reviews. And if you lived/worked in Brighton/Allston and know them, you probably hate their guts (they’re objectively awful people so it’s well deserved). You don’t want their reputation because the only reason they exist is due to the fact that no other towing companies are in the nearby area, and unlike with towing in general, you have way more competition and likely no big cleaning contracts. Just a thought.
