I would give no stars if I could. Have had a problem with the vents for a couple of years and still hasn't been fixed. Was told that they needed a third party to do the vent cleaning...never heard back. Called again and another guy said it would cost us $500. I tried to negotiate that and he said he would call the 3rd party to get an updated price. That was about 3 months ago and nothing. Their contract terms are pretty aggressive; such as automatic 3 year renewal but, we signed the contract and that is what we must live with. Next step is termination for cause unless situation is resolved. BE VERY WARY when contemplating working with them.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. It's been a month since our complex switched over to using Automatic Laundry and the machines have broken down at least TWICE already, leaving clothes sopping wet and still dirty. Of course, they have a number you can call for "emergencies," but apparently a broken down machine is not one of them...so you'll have to wait until the next day to have someone come fix it. Also, if your clothes are left sopping wet by the broken machine, don't you DARE take it to the professional laundromat to fix, because you will NOT get a refund. (This is the company's policy according to Card Administrator Kathy Mac.) On top of all of that, it's a complete hassle to have to purchase a "money code" online with your credit card and THEN have to write down the code on a piece of paper, physically punch that code into a machine to load the money onto your card, and THEN have to take your card to the washer/dryer to actually pay and use it. Automatic Laundry will be the reason I move out of my complex. It's simply not worth the trouble.

If I could give them 0 rating, I would. Even 1 is more than they deserve. I was very happy with my apartment's old quarter machines. This is terrible. Their machines did not work properly. Their card filler machine has broken and I am stuck with laundry.

If there were a 0 star review available I would leave it. Without a doubt the most frustrating laundry experience of my life. Have spent well over 2 hours trying to get money on the card to no avail. There's NO WAY this system is easier than cash or coin. It appears designed simply to drive people absolutely crazy.

Where do I start? Incomprehensive instructions, terrible website, bad customer service. 48 hours into my journey of trying to wash my clothes I'm still left with dirty, wet laundry. The process of loading a card is apparently rocket science or i'm just plain stupid, and I can assure it's not the second thing. The machines are defective; left my laundry half dry, not even rinsed. Driers kept opening up as my clothes were drying so I had to play a chaperone closing them every 5 minutes, until finally they decided to stop opening up and drying altogether. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed and would rather exchange coins forever instead of using this card nonsense that only benefits the company so they don't come around and collect coins. As you may have guessed it, I DO NOT recommend this company or their washing machines to anyone!

Customer service is rude and terrible. My newly purchased card stopped working after only a few months, however they refused invalidating my old card and sending me a new one with the same value,;saying I have to mail them so that they can read it first -(don't know how they can read a card if they think the the chipset is out of order); they already have all information like card serial number.

Disgracefully bad laundry service with the single worst and most convoluted process for adding money to cards I've ever seen. They recently "updated" our washers and made them EVEN MORE EXPENSIVE, plus tried to get us to jump through hoops to get our original balances to transfer. They were hoping we wouldn't actually mail back our cards, so that they could keep the money we had already put on them pre-upgrade. The owners of this company should be ashamed of themselves. If possible, I would give Automatic Laundry -5 stars.

I recently needed to call and set up an appointment for service with them. They process was very easy and quick, the person on the phone was professional and kind as well. Charges you $5 to just get the card then you can only add $20 $30 or $50 at a time. Machines can’t even hold that much to wash and the dryer’s low setting is too powerful. Wish I wasn’t forced into using this. They should at least let you get the damn card for free if you can’t load the amount you want. I know when I move out from my place, I’ll have to try and kill the card. Only going up to a 2 cause they were quick in giving me my $ back after I got charged for a load that the machine then didn’t start

This company is the absolute worst. Customer service is terrible. You're stuck once you sign a contract. After signing sales is advisarial. Once you eatablish a contract, forget any service or assistance. They milk you for every nickle and dime until the contract is expired. They are preditory and awful. They insist on seven year contracts to lock you in. Stay away.

The idea of a laundry card is great, it's amazing to be able to load money online through my bank account, instead of scrounging for change, especially at 1.75 per load!! However, one big flaw that gets under my skin is that the minimum you can add at a time is $15.00, so if you are short on money you can't do laundry at all. The machines don't even have a change option for emergencies. It doesn't seem like a big deal, until you are waiting for your rent to go through and it's laundry day, and you live paycheck to paycheck as I do. It gets very frustrating, especially when you have $1.50 on the card and only one dryer load to do. If you have more than one card with small amounts of money on each, the only way to combine them is to mail them in and wait four weeks for them to mail you a new one with the combined amount. They make it seem like they are technologically advanced but in some areas they are so far behind. Also when you call, the customer service reps are very unfriendly. I would not recommend using this company.

If i could give negative stars i would. By far the rudest customer service u will ever experience. Disgraceful. Card readers never work but when u look at ur bank u can see all the times u tried to use it. Prices go up anytime they see fit. $5 for a wash and dry. Stay away far away from this crowd. Very far

Why would I want a prepaid pin code to add money to the card at the machine. Bought it online because I can't get to the machine after 10pm. Useless feature of the website please remove or put bold warnings on the page.

Washers smell of mold and need to run clothes through the dryer twice in order to actually get them to dry. This is under normal conditions, these are not oversized loads. Card reloading machines constantly lose connection and you have to buy a code online to reload card. So much for convenience. Every time I call the company to report these conditions, they say they "will look into it", but nothing is ever done about it. Why fix the dryers when they can profit from people needing to double dry? This company is one of the major reasons I will not renew my apartment lease. Awful business and I can't wait to not have to use them anymore.

All of the machines for my building were upgraded to their card system, not the worst thing in the world right? Now I don't have to worry about quarters! Great! Boy, was I wrong! My first gripe came when initially loading money onto the card, can't load less than $20 at a time! Then, they raised their price per load by 15 cents, making it almost impossible to fully empty your card of money. Now, I'm moving out of this building and to a building that doesn't have their service and they are refusing to refund me any money left on my card once I move! On top of all this, their machines take absolutely forever, the timers on them aren't accurate at all and change mid way through a cycle and their dryers have smelled like burning for months, all of which I've reported to them and they have done nothing about it. There is a reason all the slum lords in this city use this company for their laundry service.

I loaded $15 on my card and after one wash I had $2 remaining. After too much of complains they asked to mail the card and got a new one which always displayed errors when I tried to use it. Very bad website design and bad customer care.

I have been doing business with Automatic Laundry since 2008, both purchasing and leasing equipment and the experience has been incredible. I have personally worked with Jason Trombino at Automatic Laundry on all of my accounts, not only has he been extremely responsive, his company and equipment speak for itself... I never needed a sales pitch, I called them and scheduled meetings to discuss the benefits that my Managed Associations could take advantage of and have never looked back from that point! We just completed another Laundry Facility Renovation for 70+ units in Framingham, the community LOVES the new floor, lighting and brand new State of the Smart Card Washer & Dryers (picture to be loaded). The community had been used to the coin-op for the past 8-9 years, but the transition over the past few weeks to the smart card system has been smooth and I receive calls/emails almost daily from the residents stating how happy they are with the complete turnaround of the laundry room. They actually have pride for their community with the improvements that are being made, this one in particular couldn't of been done without the help from Jason T, Brendon M. & their team at Automatic Laundry. Machines at my location are old and in need of repair or replacement. The washers do a lousy job of cleaning and do not spin out the water. Automatic Laundry is quick with collecting their coins but not in maintenance. I'll take my laundry elsewhere.

I just had to place a call about a washer out of service at the apartment complex I live at here in Brockton, I have to say that the woman was extremely pleasant to me and told me she would get someone out as soon as she could! I really don't understand these other reviews here!

I have been using this laundry service in my apartment building since we moved in April, and I have nothing bad to say! It’s a total upgrade from the service we had before (forcing us to constantly scramble for cash and wouldn’t take anything less than $20). This is so much more convenient to refill with a debit card. It’s very easy to use and pretty straightforward. The washers never leave your clothes in a puddle of water and The dryers actually DRY your clothes- the whole process is very efficient. I would definitely recommend this service.

My experience with their dryer is terrible! The dryer stops working whenever someone open the door before the cycle finish, but the payment system doesn't tell that it's broken and still takes the money. I can't believe a dryer nowadays can't even handle such simple operation. Each weekend, I have to try the 5 dryers one by one on different floors in my apartment building, hoping one of them works. If I'm unlucky, I would end up wasting ~$10 just to find a working dryer.

I came home to find the laundry machines were now operated by AL. They gave me a free card with a preloaded wash. Their wonky system worked for me after I figured it out, though I can see how their website and card system can confuse people. It's like high-tech for the year 1995. I'm a little upset that they raised the price of a dryer load to be the same as a wash, so now it costs about the same as anywhere else to do my laundry. On the plus side, less people use the machines now, so no more waiting on Sunday for a machine.

Worst customer service/company ever. When attempting to use the card I just loaded $30 on, the machine read E 06. Instructions do not provide any assistance for this code. When you call the 1-800 number, they state they cannot help. The actual business is only open during regular business hours (8 to 5) when most are working and unable to call. They refuse to refund your money and the only way to resolve is to send your card in to have it replaced. Company states they cannot review your account but promise to load your money on a new card and have one back to you in 2 to 3 days. Once I receive my new card back, I will utilize the money I have already applied (because I can't get a refund) and never use this service again. I also asked to speak with a Manager and conveniently the person who answers the phone is the "Manager". Mind you I have been trying to resolve this issue for 3 days now and was told that someone would be coming out to service the machines only then to be told the card has to be sent in for replacement. Needless to say, I will not suggest this service to anyone and if your apartment complex has their machines, I would suggest going to a laundry mat. Even though the laundry mat can be a hassle, it is better than dealing with this company and their machines.

Horrible. Clothes are never dry after the first cycle. Washing machines have been the cause for not one, but two visits from the local fire department. I cannot even imagine a company as incompetent as this. Would never recommend this business to anybody, ever.

A few weeks ago I had a horrible experience with a BRAND NEW Dryer in our complex. The dryer on the MEDIUM setting, not even a full load of laundry burned most of my clothes. Some children's clothes that clearly stated NOT FLAMMABLE!! This was the 3rd time it had happened, the 1st 2 times it was only a few things so I thought maybe it was something in the dryer from a prior resident. The 3rd time I used this dryer half my clothes had the imprint of the dryer vent on them, including a black melted substance. I called Automatic Laundry to try and get this resolved, they not only had my clothes for 2 weeks but were zero help! I was told by Aimee that no this wasn't my fault but not theirs either so the clothes would be sent back to me! I then took my clothes to a professional laundry service who inspected my clothes where I was told they would have definitely compensated me! Your dryer setting is to high and is burning clothes!! Seeing the other horrible reviews on your company I can see why. Your supposed to work with your customers! Poor service and customer care support. The card machines they have installed do not work properly and so do their cards. I had purchased a card worth 5$ and it had 50 USD . Each time I tried laundering my clothes, the machine deducted money and did not get started. I complained about this and the reply was " We can give you 30 USD, do you want that " ? What kind of a lame reply is it to customers? I wish this should come back and haunt these money launderers.

Forced to use these machines in my complex. Constantly breakdown or leak. Card system is atrocious. Wash spinner still leaves clothes soaking wet. One dryer cycle is never enough, forcing you to spend double. Awful... just awful.

Very disappointed. Called because our dryer is not heating up. Was hung up on when I called the first time. Thought maybe it was an accident. Called back to have a women answer in a very huffy voice like she was just too busy to take my call. I let her know the issue I was having and gave her our information. She takes all the info and say "okay your all set". I ask so when do you think they will be able to take a look? I'm told no one know when we will be able to, you know its just been too cold. I told her I was sorry about that but I needed to know if was going to be able to looked at soon. ( I had already wasted time with someone else who came out only to tell me he didn't deal with that kind of dryer....after I had told him what kind it was.) I kind of needed to know if it was going to be today maybe tomorrow. If not I was going to see if I could find someone for tomorrow. At which she replied...oh okay then I'll just cancel this repair call. I guess they are just so busy and making so much money our business is not needed. Okay noted.

I have had this laundry service in my apartment building for the last year and it has been nothing but a seamless process. Very easy to use and awesome service. I never have to worry about having enough quarters and it really makes doing laundry a lot more convenient.

This company doesn't honor contracts or repair/maintain its machines. Current machines are disgusting and several are broken, resulting in damp "dry" clothes and a lingering funk from all the mold in the washing machines. Building maintenance is unable to clean or repair the machines due to limitation in that contract, and Automatic Laundry has conveniently ignored requests for help.

If i could give less than one star I would. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Earlier this month a new washer and dryer came to our apartment complex. A few neighbors and I went down to check it out, neighbor A, used it first and said his clothes came out boiling hot. I then used the washer, not thinking anything of it, seeing as we had a washer and dryer there previously without any issues at all. Well, I load up the washer with my four year old daughters clothes, and selected cold. Her clothes came out boiling hot and shrunk!!! I called the company and let them know, the gentleman on the phone was very nice and said they would send someone out to fix it and I would get a call from Amy about my damaged clothing. Amy called me at 8pm that day, to tell me someone could come out at 6-7am to get the clothing, I work. She suggested leaving the clothing with a neighbor, which i did, and when i came home the neighbor said the guy wanted to see me first?! I followed the direction of this company and it still not satisfy them. I spoke with the neighbor whom i left my clothing with and she said they "fixed" the machine by making sure the pipes were hooked up. I asked if they even turned them on she said no all they did was make sure they were tightly on. I left the bag set aside with my daughters clothing, I only had a few items seeing as mistakes happen and I surely dont expect to be reimbursed for items that have been heavily worn. Well silly me to make this mistake. A few days later I went to use the washer, assuming the problem was fixed, and yet again it was boiling hot when selecting cold. I call the company again and Pam, hung up on me, (this was the first of 10 times). I got the "attorney" at the company who said i should seek medical attention if the water was that hot?! This professional was mocking me. He told me "if you let me hang up now maybe i can help your little problem". Well sir, maybe this is little to you, but this is a BIG deal to me. A four year old grows fast enough, i should not have to replace items that were damaged by your company. He calls me back and says he will send someone out to pick up the clothes and check it out. The next day i get a call from a service man, who says he will be by before 1pm, so I rush home from work, he comes and I give him the clothes. He tells me "Every other building here has the hot water on the left pipe, but this builing its located on the right side" He then told me he has corrected the issue, which I confirmed with a neighbor. He took the bag of clothing. A week goes by I hear nothing from the company, I call to check the status of what is going on and I am told again, we will look into it and call back. I get a call from amy, who says the attorney does not feel they are at fault, and the service man said there was nothing wrong. So myself, as well as other residents here are all lying. I ask her if I can get the clothing back and I get blindly transferred to the attorney. He picks up "what now?" I ask him why i was transferred to him, he says amy did not want to speak with me and "frankly i dont want to either". I asked for my clothing back and he said "NO" and ended the call. I called right back and was hung up on four times. I still have not got our items back or a call. The serviceman admitted that the hoses were set up by accident in the wrong spot, why should my daughter suffer because they got it wrong? Why cant I have my clothing back? THEY DAMAGED AND REFUSED TO GIVE MY DAUGHTER HER CLOTHES BACK.

The machines are very expensive, $2-2.25 per machine and they aren't that big. Machines generally work and only have malfunctions now and then but when I call customer service the attitude is very rude and the representative seems to blame me for the malfunctions. She actually told me that "there is probably nothing wrong with the machine". I understand that some callers might be rude or impatient but I was very courteous and patient and did not get the same attitude in return.
