I have used Parkway for several years. I have always been happy with the quality of the work. They are expensive; it is up to the customer to determine if the price is 'worth it'. For many of my garments the price is worth the quality of the work. For specialty items or stain removal I would suggest getting a quote before agreeing to the work. I had them remove grass stains from a dress belonging to my wife. While they did an excellent job, the charge was more than the price of the dress; clearly had I known that I would not have had the dress cleaned. After that I have asked them for a price beforehand for certain items and they have always provided it.

I had been looking for a reputable cleaners to take my fur jacket which I bought at an antique store. It was musty and although beautiful, it did not look really clean. I learned of Parkway Custom Drycleaning and took my fox jacket there. It was expensive but really worth it. When I got the jacket back it was so beautiful, like new. IT is silky, soft and shiny and the musty smell is gone. I am really happy with the service at Parkway. I would certainly take a special garment there again.

My first experience with Parkway deserves an A. The coat has been expertly cleaned and hung to retain its shape. It is a special (expensive) coat which I hesitated getting cleaned at just any dry cleaners and I waited to find the Best cleaner in the area. It was worth the wait. The price was fair.

The man doing the cleaning of my oversized lumineers at a large slider was punctual and professional. It was fascinating watching the procedure. The curtains look brand new. My only objection was the travel charge of $95 from Chevy Chase to Ellicott City. Round trip for me is under $10!

This is an excellent dry cleaners. Nothing gets lost. No shirt is returned with broken buttons. Everything is ALWAYS done on time, and is invariably in excellent condition. The personnel are honest friendly knowledgeable and helpful. While Parkway is very expensive, you get what you pay for in this world. Your clothes will last twice as long under the expert care of the Parkway team, which mitigates their prices.

I brought a dress to be hemmed and the seamstress was pleasant and very helpful. She did a great job. My only comment is I left the dress for one week for hemming and upon picking up a week later I was told dress wasn't completed. When I inquired why, I was told pick up is after 4pm (it was noon). I just didn't understand why my dress sat for a week- was it really hemmed in just that small period of time?

What a great find! We were really looking for someone to manage my designer clothes and Parkway will allow us to mail the clothing to them. We got our first batch of clothing back and were extremely pleased at the high level of attention to detail, the exquisite care they took (stuffing in the sleeves!) and the obvious amount of time spent per piece of clothing. Parkway Custom Drycleaning is nothing short of amazing! I had sent a Pendleton wool shawl with moth damage for a repair evaluation and estimate. I had had the shawl a long time but due to the damage had not worn it. I dearly love it and was so delighted to find Parkway through an internet search. I received a call and was told that since I had no extra fabric re-weaving could not be done; however the seamstress could repair it through sewing. When I received it back today I must say I was overwhelmed with the outstanding workmanship. I had thought it would be obvious but it was not. In fact I cannot even detect where the moth hole was!! The staff I spoke with was so very positive and customer oriented. I highly recommend Parkway and am so appreciative as I had almost given up hope I would ever be able to have my shawl repaired!! The only cleaners I trust with clothes I care about! I've used them for years. The manager is extremely nice and so is the staff. I recently brought them a black & white dress from a local boutique; on their own initiative (based on their vast experience), they tested it by hand and called to let me know it wasn't colorfast even though the label said to hand wash or dry clean it. I came by to look at it and talk about my options. They were able to flush out the extra dye (something the manufacturer should have done) and make it safe to clean in the future. That kind of service is rare and I don't mind paying for it - especially when cheaper cleaners have sometimes ruined my clothing in the past. Parkway is terrific.

Buyer beware or be soaked!! We have had a shocking experience this week with Parkway Cleaners in Chevy Chase. This upscale cleaners is known for removal of stains on clothing and expensive prices. They do good work, but in my situation, I was totally unprepared for the outcome. I brought in two gowns and a table cloth for stain removal and cleaning. I was handed a receipt with $122 which I interpreted as a total. Expensive, but not unexpected. Well, it turn out that was the price for one piece. No one warned me that the bill was actually $400. I suppose I could have reviewed the fine print and looked over all the receipts, but I trusted these folks and expected great work at a fair price. Perhaps the rich would not object, but I would not have left the clothes with them had I realized the $400 price. They were not able to even remove the stains. In the past, if the work was not successful, I would receive no charge and I would have gladly accepted a reduced rate in this case. The manager politely told me there was little they would do and directed me to read the fine print. The only recourse was that they would redo the cleaning with the warning that additional effort could ruin the gowns. I was offered a $50 credit for my next visit, which will likely not be any time soon. If you have so much money you don’t care about a $400 cleaning bill, this is the place for you… (the manager told me $400 for 3 pieces was nothing out of the ordinary at this cleaners, so I guess that makes me a peasant.)

Although I live 1 1/2 hours away in the Virginia countryside, Parkway was recommended as the best place to care for an important evening gown. I was not disappointed. It was returned in fine shape. Another silk outfit that a waiter had doused with two glasses of champagne came back good as new.

This place is overpriced and customer service is trashy. If you want to pay $40 for one shirt, yes $40 and experience the most horrible customer service then welcome. They didn't clean my clothes well. I still had my stain on my shirt and my white blouse was not cleaned at all. When I asked them all they said we did our best and walked away. If owner cares about the reputation of his business he has to let those ladies go. They are putting wrong orders and never apologize. This place is the most horrible place in Chevy Chase. It's a shame that I can't give Parkway Custom Drycleaning minus numbers. I dropped a sports jacket off 2 months ago for a re-weaving (a moth hole in one sleeve) and a cleaning. When they wanted to charge me $42 to clean the jacket, I politely declined - believe me, it wasn't that dirty. Why I agreed to a re-weaving for $90 - I don't know. Then I got a call that they changed weavers and it would be $150 to re-weave the tiny hole. That's not a typo - 150 bucks. I only paid $100 for it. I said to give me my jacket back.... and it's not back yet. Just called, it will be several weeks - or more -- for its return. I don't care if they have a check from Hilary Clinton in a frame, I wouldn't have them clean my socks. I'd hate to think what they would charge to darn them. I'd take my clothes to a creek and hit them with a rock before I'd use Parkway. They should rename the place No-way!

The best dry cleaner I've ever used for both clothing and upholstry. They have removed some stains that I did not think could ever be removed. They also check to see if garments need mending. I also use their mending services, which are quite reasonably priced.

Parkway Custom Drycleaner saved my Oscar De La Renta blouse from the sriracha sauce. Yes I should have known better. I thought it was lost but now I know better. Great customer care - they clearly stated it may cost $$$$. Thankfully it wasn't $$$$$. Only $ yay!!!! I left one navy sportcoat and one black sharkskin suit for dry cleaning. The suit trousers also had two small round holes that needed repair. The service was premium. They called me saying the repairs "would show" so I had to reconfirm before it was done, which I did. The result is that the repairs are now barely visible and I doubt anyone will ever notice them even in a brightly illuminated place. After the dry cleaning they stuffed the blazers with A LOT of thin white paper so they arrived in my hands in impeccable wrinkle-free condition. They picked up and then delivered at my address. Everything together cost 105 dollars with tax included, which is expensive, but does give you upscale, "worry-free" service. After you've spent $1000+ on a suit, you are probably willing to spend $50 a few times per year to have it properly cleaned. The only reason why I am not giving 5 stars is because the suit trousers have a missing button (which I am sure was already missing BEFORE I sent the trousers for repair) which they could have noticed and repaired, even if I had to pay more, but they didn't. At their website they claim they always deliver garments ready to wear even if it means repairing a missing button. But in my case they did not notice there was a missing button so they did not deliver on this piece of their promise.

I brought in a coat that is wool and leather and the tag on it essentially said, "do not wash, do not dry clean". I dropped it off at Parkway and they said they would do their best with it. When I got it back it looked brand new!! They did a beautiful job on the wool and the leather, it looked just like it did on the day I bought it. From now on I will bring all my delicate dry cleaning here. Amazing job, thank you!

Only improvement suggestion us for longer availability of alterations staff at least one day each week.

Parkway Cleaners is the Bentley of the drycleaning business. However, their prices are quite high compared to other drycleaners. Their work is excellent and they are at the top of their game. I was disappointed that they were unable to remove salad dressing from a pair of trousers but they fully explained that I had let the salad oil remain in the fabric too long before I brought them in for cleaning. It was clearly my fault.

I accidentally left lipstick marks all over my Burberry trench coat and I was worried that nobody would be able to recover it. I Googled online . found Parkway cleaners and decided to give it a try. I am so glad that I did! The coat returned a week later after they picking it up and it looked flawless!

This is by far the best dry cleaning operation in the DC Area. I first took a designer white dress that had been drenched in a glass of red wine to Parkway. They did not even flinch and had the dress back to me - stain completely removed - within a week. I have been a devoted customer ever since, and just recently dropped of yards and yards of thick silk draperies to be cleaned and know they will come back sparkling!
