This place lost my dress pants and won't reimburse me for what they're worth.
I dropped off a pair of dress pants, worth ~$190, and come back after a week to pick them up. They tell me that, "Your pants were never checked back into the store, so they must still be at the plant". I email them back and forth for over a week before confirming that my pants were indeed lost, and they then tell me that we need to move into resolution. I sent them the link to my pants on the retailer's website, detailing exactly how much the pants cost.
A few weeks go by, and no one tries to get in touch with me. I email them a few times, and they are incredibly bad at replying back to emails. I either have to always send a follow-up email in order to even get a reply.
After a few weeks of this, I gave up trying to get in touch via email and went to the dry cleaner's physical location. They then tell me, "Oh, yeah so here's what we can do for you. We can give you $90 and some store credit. I'll get in touch with you asap to move to the next steps". Keep in mind that this is totaling much less than what the pants actually cost, not even accounting for the tailoring that went into them.
It's been 2 days since that exchange, and they haven't gotten back to me yet. At this point, I've kind of given up that they actually will get back to me, and will likely have to call / go to the store again to figure out the next step of this process.
There are thousands of different dry cleaners in the city. Definitely NEVER going back here again. Should've paid attention to the bad reviews this place got before.
