Soooo upset. I just had surgery, explained I can't get around. They delivered my coat to my ex husband's home. I called Mark. He apologized, but certainly didn't offer to refund the fee for my coat. Odd that one person says it's $21.00 then I get my coat back with a $27.00 fee. So upsetting!

Maybe a little pricey for some but I’d say it worth having your clothing items well catered to. They’ve gotten stains out of my items that multiple washes at the laundromat couldn’t touch. Their shop isn’t bad looking either. I’d say it’s the nicest cleaners I’ve been to.

The consistency in quality of frenchs cleaners has changed and not for the better. I had a beautiful white Burberry coat that was ruined and zero accountability was taken for it. It was a beautiful bright white coat and they didn't remove whatever they use to clean it and it was an off-white when I brought it to their attention they looked at me like there was something wrong with me. A friend of mine use them to clean and tailor of one of a kind dress and it came back with stains on the white part as well. Dorothy does a beautiful job all the time but I can't say the same for the rest of the crew. I reserved going to frenchs cleaners only to seek out Dorothy's expertise and that is about it because every other time it's a big disappointment.

French Cleaners lives up to all the 5 star reviews! My husband was in Hartford from out of state and had an emergency with his suit. Philip was so nice and helpful, assuring me that they would take care of him. Everyone made sure we were able to have the suit cleaned and pressed that day. Not only was it done quickly, the suit looked amazing! We are hoping to move to the area if we do we will definitely be using French Cleaners in the future!

The care given to my daughter's bridal gown was superb. It is a ball gown with many underlayers, but they managed to clean and preserve it and the veil in a beautiful heirloom box, even including a picture of the dress and veil along with white gloves should my daughter decide to remove it from the box! I have found my new favorite cleaners.

I gave this place a couple tries but problems persist. When dry cleaning my tuxedo here a couple months ago, they ripped the jacket lining wide open and left it that way! (Of course, after charging me the extra lining fee). I returned and they sowed it back together but with minimal apology and no mention of a refund or store credit. Fine. Maybe a one-off? Maybe a full-moon? More recently, I dry cleaned another suit that for reasons unbeknownst to me rang up at $41 for an added "couture charge" - explained to me as necessary for providing higher care. They lowered the price after they could not answer what the higher care was for, specifically, for my suit. I sure wish they had applied this fleeting higher care to my first visit! I'm happy to pay for good work but so far the work has been sloppy and the pay exorbitant.

(Pretty sure this business edited my original message..)-trying to cover up an unsatisfied customer..) This place Is extremely nice however VERY expensive. My one dress was over 40 dollars to be cleaned, I went somewhere else and had it done for $20 and it looked great. As stated in my previous message..my own cashmere shirt ended up coming out very rough and ruined, it also had a black smudge on it. The owner did pay me back for this shirt. The workers there are extremely unfriendly..they are all very young girls who are not too nice and clearly charge you as much as possible for cleaning. (They were deciding between putting a coat as a full coat or regular because the length was hard to tell, of course they said put it as a full coat. I looked over at the woman next to me and said, "you do realize you're probably going to have to pay an extra 20-40 dollars now for a coat that is probably an extra 2 inches long..).

Amazing Barbour cleaners! I sent in my mold COVERED barbour after every cleaner (and barbour themselves) denied it, and I could not be happier. It was returned, shipped back to me at school in less than a week, perfectly clean and looking better than new! THE BEST!!

This dry cleaner is bulls...! They charged me $12.00 per garment and still did not see awesome results as expected. I'm never going back there. I'm very unsatisfied with them.

My first dry cleaning trip ever and an employee cut a silk dress that I've only worn once. I was given an option of reimbursement for the dress and to hem it where they cut it (4 inches). I was also offered for them to buy another dress and to use a panel to leave the dress at the original length. Of course not wanting to go through the hassle of re paneling, I had them hem the dress. I went to pick up my dress and was offered no reimbursement but they "covered" the dry cleaning. They also classified a bridesmaids dress as a dress with ruffles (no ruffles) which ended up being $50 by itself - reasonable maybe for people in the West Hartford crowd. Unfortunately, not happy with my experience and won't be returning. Make sure your staff is speaking on behalf of the companies policies and not just to make a happy customer if you aren't willing to follow through.

It has been very frustrating dealing with them because most items need to be redone and are often damaged. I'm surprised that they get such high ratings. They were supposed to pick up something they ruined in order to inspect it and correct it somehow. The driver forgot to pick it up. This is the end. Update: 3 weeks later I still have not gotten my item back after they finally picked it up to repair it. Why they get such high reviews continues to mystify me. I've never had good results from them at all.
