This Laundry is classified in the category of Laundromat.
Convenient. Quick and Easy
Better than those mean laundry people in McKinleyville
Great laundromat with well maintained machines. I would have given them 5 stars but there's no restrooms for the customers.
Its clean and safe,
Too expensive
(Translated by Google) great service (Original) buen servicio
Best laundry in city.
Great staff. Well organized. Everything works.
Got there at 10:10. Place closes at 12... Wouldn't let any new washes start. All I needed was a quick wash and high heat dry. Should adjust their time to when people cant wash their clothes, not when they close up the place.
Cheerful, easy to use, great views and lots to walk to while waiting!
Great washing, little pricey
I was charged $3 CASH a bag of laundry for coming an hour late. I had six dollars on my laundry card and was told that wasn't good enough- she couldn't "minus" the money off of my card to pay for it. Will not be going back.
Great vibes! They take credit cards which is great! Awesome jams too!!
Really nice service! The lady was very helpful with everything.
The young lady really helpt me. I am a brain injury surviver and have difficulties. They are pleasant people here. Nice to have been there.
Horrible horrible horrible. Never go here
Awesome thanks
So dang expensive. No restroom. You have to pay a cashier 4 bux for a card then put money on it but not too much or they will mail you a check for the remainder or if it's over a certain amount you won't get your money back at all. Or you can pay the cashier and they with turn it on for you(because they don't think you're capable yourself?). The machines are twice what I normally pay and they have odd prices like 55 cents or 370 cents. What happened to simple coin opp machines? So all that and no restroom and you are basically paying for a huge inconvenience. This place sucks.
Great service
Switch over service is FREE
Friendly, clean, and reasonably priced
Laundry place
Expensive but a great example of you get what you pay for. Clean, efficient, large machines for big items. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff
Decent place to get some laundry done
I went here in the summer of 2017 but I was just reminded of this place and how they stole probably 7-10 items of clothing. I was with my sister who has good style so she really got her stuff jacked but the girl working also took some warmer expensive layers. Lesson learned, never let a minimum wage college girl move your clothes into the dryer. OR JUST DONT GO HERE.
Almost cleanliness to the level of an autoclave one must rejoice at emerald City from their wi-fi which is quite strong to their space-age machines this place is a winner.
Good place but pricey
Way to expensive, and for what they charge you shouldn't be getting items back wet. Rude employees. The hip Laundromat in Arcata.
Love their service and clean facilities! They offer a FREE transfer service, so you put your dirties in the wash and tell them how long you want to dry them, and you just show up later and they are magically dried in the dryer... Love that option.
On Tuesday and Thursday are cheaper than.
Friendly. Clean. Nice staff and music etc. Just a cool place to be if you have to do laundry!!!!!
Staff was helpful, but the machines are pricey and they use a card system instead of coins.
Doing laundry sucks, but wildberrys for dinner makes it worth it!
the female owner is extremely unprofessional. The maintenance man there is horribly rude. I had done some laundry there and was going back in to check and make sure that I got everything out of there when the employee told me that he had already checked everything and said that there was nothing left in anything he wanted me out of there because it was 11 so I left and took his word for it. Couple days later I realize some of my laundry wasn't there and found out that they had it it was left in a washing machine and they dried it. They ruined my laundry and several very expensive items that never should have been dried. The owner told me that it was my fault because I didn't check each and every washer and dryer myself but her employee told me not to because he already had and he needed me to leave. The company wouldn't take responsibility for their actions and most of the staff there have been rude. Other than being clean I can't say anything good about this facility.
Dose not have a bathroom for customers. And is too expensive.
Great place, free WiFi. Emily helped us out. God bless free wifi
Refuses to let paying customers to use their bathroom. Not patronizing - no sale
Good machine s, clean, free transfer service. Its best I've ever used
Amazing staff, quite courteous and helpful
Nice atmosphere. Really friendly customer service. A bit expensive for me but worth it for the service and feel of the place.
My dad used this place all the time for washing his laundry.nice friendly people.this is a place where you get a card put money on the card use the card on the washing machines and you can leave the card with them and they will switch it to the dryer for you if you pay them a little more they will even fold your laundry for you as well so all in all a really nice laundry mat
I just want to comment, why ask how long you want your stuff to dry? Wouldn't everyone just say "Until it's dry"? That seems kind of fishy to me.
Absolutely the best laundry mat I have ever been to. Their people are great!
Great place. Clean and well maintained. Wash and fold very reasonable (I really hate folding laundry). Across the street from Wildberry's market and Ramone's bakery.
Very clean place, friendly folks and WiFi while you're waiting for your laundry. They will transfer it from washer to dryer if you have one of their free cards. Getting and using a card can be an unnecessary delay, you can also just pay at the register.
Gifd laundry service. Wish the back office was neater.
Nicest laundry facilities I've ever used. Great service and support. They sell single doses of detergent for those traveling through.
Awesome service, best laundromat I've ever been to.
I've been a loyal customer here for months and always come in right before close around 9:30 pm, to do my laundry. For months there was no issue, but today man named Enrique gave me and some other people a really hard time and told us all to leave because it was almost 9:30 pm. He was extremely rude and condescending, very poor customer service. Customer service was always good in the past but now I guess people will start taking their business elsewhere. Also, there's never enough laundry carts, so you have to wait for other people to finish their laundry.
It's not the cheapest laundromat in Arcata, but it's the best for several reasons. Having a card that they give you that you can load from cash or credit/debit card vastly surpasses having to stock up on quarters IMO. If you need to do a load or two on the fly, you sit have to make that extra trip to the bank to get quarters. The washers have waaaay more settings than in the other laundromats I've been to, like extra heavy washes for dog blankets and extra extract to wring out more water (great for clothes you have to hang-dry). Most of the time they have a couple attendants on the floor/behind the counter, since they have wash/dry/fold services and such. I never feel like my laundry or supplies are going to be stolen like I do at other places. Also, I've forgotten items before, a quilt in its own dryer, and when I realized the next day and called in, they had it. If you forget your laundry, they bag it and put it in the back room. To get it back to charge you $5 or something like that, but the fact that you can get it back at all is pretty sweet. They also have this free transfer service that I adore. Basically, you start your laundry in washers however you want, tell them how you want it dried, then give them your card and leave. They will ask how hot and how long, and based upon that will tell you how much it will cost and when you can come back to pick it up. They give you magnet labels to stick on your washers and then they will stick those on the dryers when they move your laundry so there's no confusion. It's a pretty nifty process that's allowed me to multitask laundry with other errands. They have free wifi, and a good selection of laundry products in case you forget yours. There are lots of chairs, tables for sitting and waiting as well as for folding laundry. They usually have the radio playing and there's a lot of windows, so it has a very warm, welcoming feel. Not at all like the dingy laundromats elsewhere. I guess they do pickup and drop off too, though I haven't used that. I imagine it would be very useful for busy moms, and elderly and disabled folks. Basically they have everything you could want in a laundromat for not that much more than others. After trying them, I wouldn't take my laundry anywhere else.
Very clean laundromat...FYI They're open late but last wash is at 9...they have a sign that says LAST WASH AT 9:00PM.
Nice place friendly staff don't have to worry about quarters they take debit cards.
Not a bad place to wash. Cute girls and nice machines
Great laundrymat. Very clean, full time staff which does routine maintenance on washers and dryers. They will switch clothes from washer to dryer for you free of charge. They also sell some quality detergents if needed. Conveineint area right in town.
Am updating a previous review and confirming "Miss Anonymous" review that the "female owner is extremely unprofessional," based on the abrupt and extremely belligerent way I was treated at this location. I was shocked with her behavior; don't know if she was an employee or owner. Sad, because I used to rave about this laundrymat with the really friendly staff. Also, it is so expensive now I have no idea how students could afford it.
Cleanest, and nicest laundry facility, and an awesome friendly staff
Very clean but too costly
I'm in love with their wash and fold service. It ain't cheap, but they match, neatly fold, organize and bind together the items by category/size (ex. child vs adult, and even women's size 10 vs size 12, dish towels, bedding, etc). And whoever does it perfectly folds the fitted sheets too. Their OCD speaks to mine. Their staff is very friendly too. Oh and if you're doing your own laundry, you can leave them your laundry card and they will swap your laundry from the washer to the dryer for free....go lunch, run some errands, then come back and simply fold. The place is prettt clean. They do get super busy, so I recommend early morning. My only issue is that even if/when your clothes don't go in smelling like pot, they definitely do on the way out, but it fades in a couple of hours or so. Just not cool when it is your kids clothes or work uniforms. Their free WiFi needs a little strength boost and password too.
Best laundry mat in Humboldt
Amazing store front and super friendly staff and ownership
Great laundromat. I've never been in a cleaner more organized and efficient laundromat. It was inexpensive too! All new equipment and friendly staff keep this from being a hangout for vagrants.
nice spot right in town very clean and inviting great staff , can hangout or walk around some ... makes laundry fun lol
OK equipment, but expensive, and the staff is lazy and indifferent to customer service. Informed staff that the advertised free Wi-Fi service was not working and was told "yeah, that happens sometimes." 1/2 the dryers frequently full of dry clothes that the employees haven't bothered to remove, so I stand around waiting for a dryer a lot. Struggling to close a dryer door that wouldn't close, and instead of helping, the hipster yelled at me from the counter not to slam their doors.
Best laundromat ever!!! Staff are super nice, tables and chairs to work at while you wait, & a free service which puts your laundry into the drier. This allows me to drop off my laundry and run errands for no extra charge. Super clean. Open until midnight. Only downside is super slow wifi.
