We put our toddler in the school in Nov. 2013 and pulled him out in the summer of 2014. We pulled him out because the administrators of the school told us our 3 year old was too developmentally delayed to be at primrose anymore. Our son is a happy, loving little boy, just is slow with his words, a bit introverted, and still getting up to speed on potty training. Primrose refused to help us potty train him and said that if he was not potty trained by Fall 2014, we'd have to leave. We were basically shown the door. For the amount of money we were paying, you would have thought they would have had SOME flexibility. Apparently not. We finally had our boy assessed through Child Find (a county service, your tax dollars at work) and they did indeed agree that he just fell under the bar of where he should have been, developmentally, and allowed us to put him in their program. We went and talked with Montessori at Belmont Greene and the director there was very understanding and they have been working with us to help our little boy develop in a loving, caring environment. Primrose was the opposite--cold, clinical, NOT loving at all. They seemed to constantly have new teachers and the preschool rooms looked like organized chaos. The Montessori school, you realize the teachers are in charge and are VERY calm and patient. On the plus side, for about the same money as Montessori, the Primrose school provides daily cooked hot lunches for the kids. And they stay open a bit later (6:30 vice 6:00 pm). But the administrators at Primrose at Mooresfield need to seriously work on their people skills. Primrose is great if your child fits their model, but they have zero flexibility. I really felt we were treated shabbily and won't soon forget.
