Do NOT attend this school. Many of the instructors, if they can be called that are not interested in teaching, helping, or even doing their job. These instructors just rubber stamp grades. Giving a grade high enough that most students will never complain, but they will never actually read your work. The Christian atmosphere is so unbelievably hypocritical it is sickening. Most of these people, students and faculty alike consider themselves superior to everyone else. They preach acceptance, as long as you are like them. They claim to walk a path with Christ, yet refuse to teach. They claim to be forgiving, yet will trash you if you don't align with their lazy methods, and say anything that tells them they are hiring instructors out for easy pay, or that they will protect their nationalist Christian agenda. If you have a mind and want an education, stay away from this place. You may receive a degree, but you will not receive an education. Not to mention no one will really care about a degree from here anyway. And for all who think I am just complaining because it didn’t work out for me, I have a 3.87 GPA, and am leaving the school telling them all the same thing.

This place is a dream come true. I had a rough undergrad career and Liberty has been nothing but welcoming to me! I am an online grad student for the MEd in elementary program and so far it has been everything I could have hoped for- easy enrollment, down to earth teachers, helpful classmates, and kind individuals all around. The school work is all online and at a pace I can handle. There’s a lot of work, but it’s not too difficult. It’s the normal amount you’d get in the actual classroom. Liberty is a great choice! My wife and I attended '88 - '92; our oldest is now a Jr. @ LU. My wife has a Masters (education - teacher). I have a Doctorate. I am an attorney and run a number of companies. In reading some of the negative reviews - one thing is clear: the disenfranchised millennial-minded, who have been receiving trophies for losing heretofore, might have to fend for themselves at college (for the first time) and when unable to do so, they immediately place blame anywhere but themselves, even by way of ad hominin attack, calling the President racist or some other nonsense. The other negatives are broad-brushed, general attacks, absent specifics - typical of progressives who don't like the conservative/biblical values. The LU education is unique because it is rooted in absolute truth - the belief that right and wrong and LAW has a basis in something beyond us. Although all the ivy league colleges started as LU did, and have very similar charters, so far Liberty has been able to maintain its perspective, which is a HUGE benefit in a world of shifting values and "truth" (as defined by the individual). Moreover, LU is the safest school in the nation, partly due to its values and also because they allow students the ability to defend themselves (unlike the sitting ducks at schools like VA Tech). The growth has been amazing at Liberty, one of the largest schools (by enrolment) in the nation, and with that kind of expansion comes growing pains and some disorganization. The facilities are amazing at Liberty and improving daily. The professors are caring and first-rate … and the athletics are phenomenal. Here's my negative: PARKING IS TERRIBLE!

If you’re considering an online doctorate program please think twice about enrolling at Liberty. In my opinion the program is not designed with students in mind. It is designed to make students feel inadequate as well as, to fail students. I started this program with an excellent GPA and after one semester a specific instructor destroyed my GPA, confidence, and educational motivation. It is unfortunate that a Christian University is less interested in the academic success of students than that of a secular University. I’ve never experience a more inconsiderate, unforgiving, bull headed online instructor as a professional student. This professor represents the character of the university. I have been accepted by two other universities and will begin the process of transferring this fall. Quoting scripture doesn’t hide bias, unprofessionalism, and prejudice. I am disappointed with my initial experience at Liberty University. Pray for Liberty Students.

I enrolled for two classes and observed both of the professors to have minimum cultural competence. The expectation of the class assignments were beyond of their instruction, syllabus and books information. The school advisor are all easy to communicate, professional and friendly but they are always different professionals assisting the students. In previous experience, the counseling/advisors (financial, academic and enrollment) were assigned and as a student you can directed contact them through email or phone. I would rate the teaching and learning EDCO 725 Dr. Allen Dale Meyer and Statistics EDCO 735 Dr. John Leonard as 1 out of 5. The ED.D. curriculum, courses and college techniques to help with graduation is great but the support is low after enrollment. Moreover, the syllabus is different from the teacher perspective. Better professionals are needed and more organization in the school is needed.

There's not one negative thing about Libertyonline classes that I can state. I love this University! I was at a state school and not learning even half as much as I am now in the Human Services counseling for my Master's. The professors that I have had have been lovely Christian people with a true interest in their students and their faith. You have to work hard to complete your alignments with a full-time load but oh so worth it. And you can not find a better education for the money after the generous Military/ spouse discount. This is by far the worst school I have ever attended. Liberty University is a horrible educational center, supposedly a Christian School is not. The people are rude most times. I have never heard of half the stuff that I am being told between FIA,enrollment and a few of the Instructors. Its absurd to pay over $ 3000.00 for courses and not have the LIBERTY to get your education how you see fit!. They are locking students into contracts, not allowing transfer of courses or anything. In my opinion to work less. In my case, I can't transfer after a week of start, finding that I will not pass the course, because I refuse to purchase a book of one persons thoughts for a course. Also I can not complete a practicum because they don't have a straight psychology practicum just counseling. I can't change my major to another because of how the school is calculated the GPA, they don't allow changes of any sort. All I hear is what you can not do, on the phone the rep are sour and placate to the caller. Its a Horrible experience I HATE MY DECISION TO ENROLL HERE!!! I will be contacting the accreditation body to complain and look at financials and student achievements and etc. I am sure there are some Board of Education issues.

I was supposed to get and 83 in a class and later founf out the teacher put 94, how are employers supposed to trust in me and my degree if it comes from a place like this? It is designed to make students feel inadequate as well as, to fail students. I started this program with an excellent GPA and after one semester a specific instructor destroyed my GPA, confidence, and educational motivation. It is unfortunate that a Christian University is less interested in the academic success of students than that of a secular University. I’ve never experience a more inconsiderate, unforgiving, bull headed online instructor as a professional student. This professor represents the character of the university. I have been accepted by two other universities and will begin the process of transferring this fall. I have lost all faith in this institution. I'm scared that out of spike they won't transfer over my credits earned. Quoting scripture doesn’t hide bias, unprofessionalism, and prejudice. I am disappointed with my initial experience at Liberty University. I pray for better results as I strive to finish my master degree.

I am currently taking an online course (BIOL 101 & BIOL 103) with this university. In terms of customer service, they are absolutely excellent. They always answer emails and phone calls promptly, unlike other schools that take many days or even weeks to get back to you. The course teaches you well at a self pace and the marking is fair making it easy to do well granted you put in work. I really enjoyed my experience taking an at distance course with them and would do so again.

Down to earth review here after three years. Great school with good jobs leads after you graduate. Problem is that its a private school and costs alot more money than public college. Go to public college and you get more back from loans to maybe by a car
