We've been a Sunshine House family since 2009 and have loved every bit if it. We've seen many changes over the years and throughout it all, the staff is like family. My children are disappointed when they spend a week away from the center. I'd definitely recommend this facility to anyone.

I was completely against a chain daycare when I had my baby. However, Sunshine House came recommended by a friend so I went to visit the facility. I absolutely LOVE this Center and it’s staff. The teachers are wonderful and even the director knows my daughter. I feel completely secure when she is there and is so loved by everyone.

My son has been attending The Sunshine House since October of 2017. We have been very happy up until about 2 months ago when the director, assistant director, and multiple other teachers left within a 3 week period. We understand at this time they are understaffed, but it does not excuse their poor child care as of recently. We used to receive daily notifications about what our son did during the day; including what he ate throughout the day, how long he napped, and his check in/check out times. I have only received 2 notifiers since the old teacher left and both of the notifiers only stated his time checked in and what he ate for breakfast, nothing else. Today when I picked my son up there was a large scrape on his nose and smaller scrapes near his mouth, I asked him what happened and he told me a kid had pushed him over. I then asked the multiple teachers he sees during the day, as well as the director what had happened, and not a single teacher could give me a straight forward answer. This, along with some other instances we have come across in the past couple weeks has led us to only one conclusion. Our son is being withdrawn immediately and will not be coming back! At this time we absolutely WOULD NOT recommend The Sunshine House to ANYONE. We hope that some day they can get their acts together.

Poor poor poor poor care & communication. The only person who appears invested in these kids is the after school teacher. This place went from 5 stars to a BIG FLOP. Unorganized, unprofessional, no accountability. Say things just to say them. My child has autism & they let him walk around with untied shoes. Don’t know how to read the financial ledger & promise things they don’t follow up on. AND the regional manager don’t even get back to you. No one here cares anymore. It’s like a back alley operation where the director takes a dictatorship role & people leave like flies headed to a picnic. Staff appear to have no experience. The girl having my son clean the whole room. Further, I used to pay LESS before AND after school than now for just after school. So you raise the rates but lower the standard of care?! Where they do that at? It’s a HUGE sign when nearly all of the staff leave an organization & it just sucks. These people are at this place for a paycheck & it’s apparent that upper management don’t take the time to notice. Sunshine House in six months went from an A rating to a D. Review below was five stars and in October of 2017- My daughter loves going there. Everyone is welcoming and professional. Great place to entrust my child with! They truly work with your needs. They are committed to helping parents raise up healthy kids. Thankful for them. Also, my son has autism and they are so kind and welcoming and understanding with him. The afterschool teacher has learned a playful approach with him and really takes an interest in his well-being. I can observe my kids upon arrival, and they are as comfortable as if in their rooms at home. Breakfast smells good and is a balanced meal. The facility is clean. They get plenty of outdoor time to play and use their energy and imagination. The teachers are interactive not just sitting, and you can see the care for the children in their eyes. I would not have my children at any other place!

Couldn't be happier with Sunshine House! My daughter was barely talking when she started there at 2 1/2 years old in January 2017. Within just a few weeks she blossomed and has been talking up a storm ever since. The teachers are so patient and caring, and have really made us feel part of the Sunshine House family. So happy my child can continue there for years to come, with the after-school program, and summer camps. Can't imagine anyone else giving her such an enriching, and loving, early education experience.

We have had 2 children attend this location...the first was 10 years ago and now my second who is 3. I fully trust them with my children. They are very responsive to any concerns and I feel comfortable talking to them. There have been some great changes over the last year in the center that we have been very happy with...specifically with the curriculum. The director and assistant director are doing an excellent job running th3 center . My daughter loves going to school, learning, and playing with her friends. She is also greeted with hugs and smiles from teachers and staff every day. I know many families who have had multiple children go to this location which says a lot. In fact, the 3 year old teacher that taught my oldest 7 years ago is now the same teacher teaching my youngest. Overall, I would say that they have quality care and really truly care about you and your children. It is nice to know that your child is safe and happy when they are in someone else's care.

We have been with this location for 4 years now and have 2 children there. We have always been very pleased with the directors and teachers! The teachers are truly caring and go above and beyond to make their classes engaging, educational and tons of fun. The center hosts family events during holidays and other times, which is a great way to involve parents in their child’s world while at the center. We love our Sunshine House in Irmo, SC!

We've been coming here for almost 3 years and my kids adore their teachers. Compared to our last childcare center the level of separation anxiety dramatically decreased! It's such a good feeling knowing they want to be here.

My children have gone to this location since 2009. I am really pleased with the many changes I have seen over the past year or two. The teachers look genuinely happy working there and the children that attend there create such a family oriented environment. Children's work, family photos, and engaging decorations make it a very easy place to leave your child every day. As my oldest son grew older and transitioned into the afterschool room, it was a great extension of active engagement and homework help that made him still feel apart of their everyday activities. I am forever grateful for the Sunshine House and the awesome people who have helped influence my children!

Nobody can take care of your child as well as you can, but I've trusted Sunshine House with all three of mine. The staff has always been friendly and willing to answer questions or address concerns. My two older children have learned so much in their years there, and they were very prepared for kindergarten. My two year old loves her classmates and her teachers.

We have been at sunshine house for a year and my kids really love going to "school". My daughter is very shy and it was her first experience with a center situation and the teachers made extra effort to get her adjusted quickly. My son is in their pre-school program and he is learning a lot of great skills for kindergarten next year.

The teachers are so welcoming and the director and associate director are very helpful! I feel very comfortable leaving my children there, and having my oldest transported from school to the center daily! Best daycare in town, by far.

Sunshine House is our sons home away from home. We moved cross country, left a wonderful daycare, and were concerned about finding the right place for our son. From day 1, Sunshine House put our minds at ease. Transitions for toddlers are never easy, but the whole team has helped our son continue to develop. Brian, the Sunshine Houses director is extremely hands on, and truly cares about the development of each and every child. My son loves Ms A and Amber in the toddler room... in fact, every morning when he was in the toddler room, he would run up to Ms A and give her the biggest hug! The rest of the staff is extremely friendly, and is always saying hello, asking how our son is doing, and doing everything they can to make Sunshine House the place for every childs needs. Thank you Sunshine House for all that you do!
