I Like Clemson .I own a moped sales and repair shop ' A BEST DEAL CYCLES ' near C.U. and with out this school I would not be as successful as I am . I sell a LOT of the better quality mopeds than the shop in Central -yes they cost $20 % more , but you get a higher quality moped ,sort of like pay a little more ,get a better EDUCATION !

This place is awful! I toured Clemson and I wanted to die. The hills are awful and everyone hates each other. They have ONE place to eat. They really expect everyone to pile in there?! The parking?? Oh the parking! If you have anything bigger than a Camry good luck! Not to mention everyone there are arrogant jerks. This didn't help and made my trip miserable. So glad I decided to tour instead of blindly pick my school!

Great University! Very solid academically, very safe and according to my son, it is a lot of fun. The varsity sports, especially football, are incredible! The campus is absolutely beautiful! There is lots of fun at the nearby lake. Downtown is a 5 minute walk from campus. Did I mention the food? Have you ever taken a cruise? Eating at Clemson is like being on a cruise ship. Dorms are ok, not great. Much work is being done to rectify that situation. We visited a lot of schools, but none compared with Clemson for overall greatness!

The best university in the US. Situated in God's Country. On a beautiful lake with plenty of gorgeous views. Always something to do. And nothing, I mean nothing beats a Clemson football game.

I'm a student. The mechanical engineering program here sounds good from outside the school, but it really is not much to be proud of. Most of the professors couldn't care less about the students, and many of them would rather you do poorly. The parking "services" alone is a reason to avoid this school. You'll pay a fortune for a parking permit so you can park practically a mile away from anywhere else on campus. That said, there isn't enough parking anyway. If you park anywhere else, the parking services will screw you over with tickets that can be over $100, even if you park in a metered spot and its just 2 minutes expired. They do not have mercy on ticket appeals. They probably don't even read them. The curriculum is also not based on your success in the future, but rather just making the school "challenging." I transferred from Samford University because they did not have mechanical engineering, and I can testify Clemson University is no comparison to the education and loving professors at Samford. I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

I've got an idea, let's go to a university that 18 minutes DOWNSTREAM from a nuclear power plant. Don't mind the overflow valves that dump directly into lake Keowee, the nuclear isotopes or PCBs that are detectable in both the water and fish, they're harmless. Great school for bio-ag, accepting corporate money to engineer and promote crops that have a pesticide resistance (so they can be soaked in them) or genetically alerted to make their own, and don't worry that's totally safe to eat! Students here do great things, one student created Synthetic Marijuana or "spice"! His contribution to the world has allowed hundreds of thousands to visit emergency rooms in just a few years! And it's ironic that they ram social justice curriculum down the students throat. From 1899-1908, Clemson was constructed not by "slaves" but using "convict laborers". Of the 572 laborers, all but 29 were African American. So next time you look up at Tillman Hall, you'll know who and how it was built. It could be running, but maybe the mandatory classes are helping obscure their past. Anyways who cares about them telling you any of that stuff when you get to see those orange-purple sunsets? Rah rah siskboom bah, we're the best we play football! Gooooo tigers

Sun, February 11th 2018 We arrived at carolina place mall a bit early for a lunch date and seen a couple of students and staff going back and forth with build a bears. The lady said they had over 400 hundred bears to load, so my daughter was eager to help guessed they we're probably for sick kids. She asked one of the ladies if she could help load the van the lady happily replied: "the more the merrier". shes goes into the mall with the lady practically skipping then minutes later she came back out with a guy named Ryan and her head was hung low. He said i cant help because i dont go to their school.... Whaaat? So the guy approaches me and says that the bears are indeed for sick children but my daughter couldn't help. Then they recounted every bear in that van and locked all doors. When prior to they just were loading now they are taking the time to lock the doors each time a load is brought out when they weren't before. This just really made me and my daughter feel some type of way. Whats so wrong with her wanting to volunteer her time to sick children just as they are. I'm not sure but i just dont like the way they handled that she can't help because she doesn't go to the school? Way to break a childs helping spirit guys good job!!

No one is going to read this but - this place is awful. The people that love it only love it because of football and deep rooted traditions in their family. Most academic programs are nothing like what they are described as. Teachers seem to not care at all. You may be lucky to find one or two that seem to care but most won't reply to your emails or help you out at all. The Animal Veterinary Science program is nothing about veterinary science, AT ALL. Its about agriculture and production. So, pretty much all they do is teach you how to slaughter and then talk bad about people that don't agree with their methods. Transferring here made my whole plans change and everything went down the drain. Oh and not to mention, if you're not a heterosexual white person, you get stares and threats. And finally of course, there's parking. This place just wants to suck you of your money any way possible and will fine you for the smallest issue ever. I can't even count how many times I've missed class due to not being able to park or being wary of fines.

A few 2016 stats: Top 25 USAToday Public University. Ranked 7th by Princeton Review as having the happiest students and 1st for alumni networking and Career Services Program (Finding a Job!). 4th by Huffington Post as friendliest. I was visiting this campus a few weeks ago during their "Family Weekend" because I had a close friend (a freshman) who's family couldn't make it down. My friend does not drive and is not familiar with the parking policies and being a guest, I was not either. After spending the night, I was up bright and early at 6:00am. I went to check on my new car that I purchased 2 weeks prior to make sure it was alright. There was a note on the windshield stating that the space I was parked in was reserved for the game and that towing would be enforced starting on the first game of October. "No big deal" i thought to myself as I would be leaving soon anyways and that date was nearly a month away. About an hour and a half later I went down to leave and my car was gone. The cars in the spaces around mine (all sporting the same warning as earlier) had been left untouched and my car was gone. This resulted in a $96 fine JUST TO GET IT BACK AND a $111 ticket. Not only that but my vehicle was damaged during the tow. I appealed both fines thinking they would be reasonable about it but I was terribly WRONG. I emailed the the Director of Parking and Transportation Services, Dan Hofmann, about this incident inquiring who would take responsibility for the damage done to my car and why my fines were not waived and was never contacted in any way. In conclusion, DO NOT VISIT THIS CAMPUS unless you want a damaged car that no one wants to take responsibility for and over $200 in fines. The parking services staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Just another way to squeeze every dime out of the pockets of each person who goes on campus.

Avoid at all costs. I start to think that the only think that this university is doing is making sure that there is no way to park without getting a fine. Double numbers on metered spaces, lack of parking, constant changes of rules regarding how and where to park. Parking is simply impossible, driving through is not much better. Parking services works only in one direction: increased profit. All recent "improvements" helped only to make the problem worse. Maybe after all the construction is over something will change for better, though my almost 8 years here tend to make me think that not.

I have been to Walmart if some people want to get their education from Walmart that's fine according to the sign on the door they allow seeing eyed dogs. Beautiful campus but beware of parking services. They pay little attention to state law and expect you've researched their individual laws prior to your arrival. On-street parking has no signage and they will ticket you despite your being in compliance with state parking regulations (unless it's a busy night when they don't try to be consistent with any other time). Then they will require you to register your personal information in their system so they might "excuse" your offense. I'm sure it's a lawsuit waiting to happen; either over the collection of fees from illegal tickets or the mandate of collecting your personal info to "excuse" the illegal tickets.
