Melissa is racist and Suzann is a complete jerk I loved the school at 1st and the professionalism but after a few weeks they started showing true colors.
Very nice place and teach your children alot
I am in LOVE with this school! My daughter has been going to Chesterbrook for 2 years and will continue to do so for as long as she is able to. I love the way my daughter is taught, they implement fun but at the same time learns so much from every activity. Secondly, the part that is priceless to me and would be to most parents is knowing that my daughter is being well taken care of, that puts me at ease while I am working. I know this because she loves her teachers and every day she is eager to get to school. I am so thankful for Mrs. Helen, Mrs. Sharon, Mrs. Melissa, Mrs. Andrea, Mrs. Coco, Mrs. Danelle and Ms Jojo and all the staff at Chesterbrook Academy for making a positive difference on a child. Thanks for all that you do!
This is my son's second year at chesterbrook. I'm very pleased with their commitment to excellence and attitude towards student betterment, which starts with Helen and Melissa. My son's teacher's (Regina, Vielka, Wendy) are committed to student development and personal growth. Thanks to their dedicated staff (Melissa, Andrea, Joan and Ramona), who expertly provide outsiding service, guidance and direction. Thanks for all you do. Joseph
I Abigail Williams picked my son up from school on February 20, 2018 @ 5:45 pm and he smelled like feces. The feces was on the front and back of his pants and on the back of shirt. I checked the inside of his underwear and his underwear were covered with feces. I had to throw the underwear away due to the feces being dried and stuck onto the underwear. I know for a fact that my son was @ school sitting in his feces and no one ever attempted to change his clothes. The teachers that were present in his classroom which is classroom 9 were Brittany, Abby, and Connie. I saw his teacher Brittany and Abby leaving out as soon as I enter the school and not one time did they say anything to me about my son smelling like feces. Chesterbook is so unprofessional!!! We are highly unsatisfied with this school!!!
Both my children started here about six months ago when we moved to Columbia and I honestly can’t say enough positive things about our experience here. We previously had in home care so it was definitely a big change for everyone, especially having just relocated to a new area as well. The staff here is so caring and kind – they made it such an easy transition for the kids, as well as my husband and I! The kids wake up every morning excited to go to school and they ask about their teachers and friends on the weekends. They are only 2, but I am so pleased with what they are learning in class – everything from the alphabet, letters and numbers, to nursery rhymes and Spanish! I absolutely LOVE the fact that I am informed of what my children are doing throughout the day through an app on my phone, as well as a detailed outline of the day on the bulletin board outside the class. I also really appreciate that the staff gives me frequent updates regarding my children’s development and progress. This truly is a preschool and they work hard to make my kids’ education and developement a team effort. I have had nothing but positive experiences with everyone here and my impression is that they are all very invested in and dedicated to what they do. I would highly recommend the school to anyone looking to provide their children with a solid early education and an environment in which to flourish.
My daughter has been a student at Chesterbrook for a little over a year and she loves it! I enjoy the variety of activities available to her and all the different skills she's learning. I highly recommend this school!
Great place .my kid works better here than at the other private schools in the area
I don't even know where to begin! Chesterbrook Academy is absolutely AMAZING & as a new very over protective mother it was hard to let my 2yrold go especially after a tragic daycare experience. I am so at peace and my son loves going to school and wakes up EVERYDAY @ 6:15AM ready for one of us to get him ready for school. The ENTIRE faculty and staff are warm friendly sincerely and really care about each student. Im so happy that my husband & I can have a sound kind and see our child throughout the day by pics and reports! My heart truly rejoices at from the love from Chesterbrook. They even notice when I'm not feeling well especially Melisa and Andrea! They ROCK!
My youngest daughter has attended Chesterbrook Academy since she was 18 months, now almost 5 years old. We've had an amazing experience in all of her classrooms and teachers. The day is full of fun and learning, and there are even more opportunities for extra curricular activities. My oldest daughter, now 8 years old, attends Chesterbrook Academy during the summer months as a camper as LOVES it. From the grounds and facility to the daily meals and staff, Chesterbrook Academy is 5 stars with our family!
Chesterbrook is a GREAT school, the staff is excellent and they recognize/remember their students and parents. I love how frequently they take the children on field trips and does learning activities with them. Well worth the price.
Worth every penny I spend. My son suffers from really bad social anxiety and when I say I thought they would have to earn their check I thought they were going to ask for more money
Please do not believe the hype you have heard about this institution! An incident occurred with my daughter on May 2, 2019 that was so mishandled I reached out to the corporate office. As of June 10, 2019 I have yet to receive a call back from the Executive Director, Carol. Each time I call for a follow-up I am told that she must have not had a chance to respond. I completely understand someone having a busy schedule, but to not respond promptly about a matter where a child is involved is absurd. I toured this school in February 2018 and was impressed. Sadly, due to new leadership under principle Tara Clerc, this school has lost its credibility. I have spoken with many parents in my daughter's class who are experiencing the same issues and are looking to remove their children due to reasons such as lack of a curriculum, structure and communication. What is most unfortunate is that in my candid talks with staff they are also feeling the brunt of the poor leadership. DSS has been contacted in several cases and the police were even called to the school in May 2019 as a result of one of these calls. You will pay a premium price at Chesterbrook for lack luster education.
I Definitely recommend This school. My Daughter has been there for almost a year now and she loves it. Ms Sharon in the toddler class is just phenomenal. The new principal and front staff are kind, caring and listen to any questions and concerns you may have and will go above and beyond to help you and your child. My Daughter is currently in class 3 and the teachers are exceptional. They help traine my daughter with potty training and her speech, wich she was behind in. My daughter has flourished in this school and I love that we get a full report sent to us every day with pictures of her throughout the day and meal details she ate that day and bathroom details.
Horrible experience at this school..started off well but I was told through another parent that my child's teacher hit another student in his class and of course the school swept it under the rug to not receive a lawsuit..I was very skeptical since then but was in the process of changing schools..I'm glad my child is not here anymore..parents take your time it's not worth $215 a week..the principal is not friendly and the vice principle is racist she only speaks to the white families and pretend to never see the black family when they walk through the doors..I really should have listen to a family member of mines who said this school was horrible! They are full of lies and sneakiness..also that wasn't the first time I heard some child got spanked or hit either..my son did not want to go in class with his teacher and I knew something was going on from there on..I am grateful for him not returning.
Chesterbrook is absolutely amazing! My daughter flourished in the time that she spent here. If we hadn’t moved over an hour away she would certainly still be attending. All of the teachers and staff truly care about the children in their classrooms. Ms. Cassandra and Ms. Evelyn are extraordinary teachers. Children at this school not only learn lessons that will help them academically, but also emotionally. I honestly cannot day enough wonderful things about this school!
The staff is very friendly and I love how they send pictures and updates of what the kids do throughout the day.
Wonderful place. I'll always remember it.
My son has been going to chesterbrook for about two years. I couldn't be more pleased with the facilities , staff and the curriculum. My child has learned so much over the last two years. His teachers Mrs O'neil and Mrs. Wendy are awesome in every way . Everyday Melissa and Andrea are very welcoming and joyful. Melissa is very quick to respond and handle any concerns, I couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun filled safe learning environment .
