Cambridge admitted our son Charlie into 10th grade. He was sincerely welcomed and made to feel part of the Cambridge family. Charlie's interests were in the arts: drama, singing, writing and art. While the school offers excellent opportunities in athletics, the institution has developed a culture where individualism is respected. The athletic opportunities teach teamwork, effort, and a competitive spirit. Teachers are truly oriented toward teaching because they don't have to spend their whole day on behavioral issues. Cambridge is not a dumping ground for misfits. This institution demands respectful behavior and excites students into growing intellectually and emotionally. The students flourish in an environment where they are instructed to learn as opposed to merely memorizing. Teachers are free to use their professional training to alter their approach based on individual students. The results were incredible. Charlie was admitted to the South Carolina School of the Arts and Humanities the following year. And, he took with him the strategies, attitudes and determination to make the most out of a very demanding and internationally recognized academic and drama program that were implanted during his year at the Cambridge Academy. The leadership is excellent - the results speak for themselves as their students go on to prominent universities. They have earned my highest regard. Charles R. B. Stowe Ph.D, JD, MBA
