Is there a way to give zero stars? Because if there is, that is what this place would get. Yesterday I arrived at 5:50PM to pick up my son who was on the playground at the time. It was 50 degrees outside and when my son walked up to me I immediately noticed his jacket was wet. When I unzipped his jacket I realized his shirt was also VERY WET. His hands, cheeks, nose and chest were FREEZING. There were no teachers near the swing (where my son was), all of them were around the corner in front of the other playground. It wasn't until a teacher heard the gate and came around and told me to have a good day. I asked her about his wet clothes and she had no idea how he had gotten wet and at that time I found out that she changed him at 5:00PM and he was "dry" at that time. No one noticed my son had on wet clothes on the playground in 50 degree weather and couldn't give me an answer as to why or how he got wet. To me this is telling me that no one had eyes on my son for at least 50 minutes. After talking with several teachers, one of them rolled her eyes at me like I was overreacting. It was reported to the assistant director who called me the following day to inform me that she would "talk with her staff about the incident" following that conversation I was asked to pay my balance for the week. Nothing was done to reconcile for what my son experienced and asking me to pay my balance for the week was a complete INSULT. I would not recommend parents to bring their child to this facility not only because of this incident but because of several. My son hasn't been there a full month and I've already complained about 3 different incidents. One being, him not being cleaned properly at diaper changes and being sent home with poop dried up in his behind, the other being a diaper rash from the changing not being done properly. He's also always VERY HUNGRY when he gets out around 5:30. Please don't bring your child to Gateway Academy!

Both of my children started in the infant room there and my daughter is about to start school and she is MORE THAN prepared for school because of Gateway. My son is in the toddler room and has been there almost 2 years and runs into his room everyday bc he loves it there. The teachers are wonderful and I have never questioned whether or not my children feel loved. They make every child feel special and Gail, the director, makes sure to keep good communication with parents and is very hands on in the classrooms too. The school is constantly being improved and what my kids have gotten from Gateway is something money can't buy. I would highly recommend them to anyone. There are too many great people there to name! Love this place!!

We are NEW at Cadence and I 100% know it was the best decision to move my son here! The moment you walk in you feel a sense of belonging! The teachers are so kind and attentive to the children. They made the transition smooth for my son. I love getting photos and notes through the kidreports app. My son has therapists that come work with him throughout the week and Mrs. Gail, Tyann and the teachers have been so wonderful to make them feel like part of the cadence family! I could not be happier with the decision we made and looking forward to my son's journey at Cadence!

We love Gateway Academy!!! Our son Joshua is very happy when we drop him off in the morning and pick him up in the afternoon. Joshua talks about all the fun things they do during the day and all the things he learns everyday when we pick him up. It is a indescribable relief to us as his parents to be able to focus on work because we know he is happy and safe, when we can't be there. I wouldn't send him anywhere else!!! I’m very impressed with Cadence! When Carsten was in his former daycare we didn’t know what daycare was supposed to be like, as none of our children have ever been to daycare before. At his prior daycare there were definitely things I felt uncomfortable with. I thought this was something I would just have to live with, and every daycare would be similar. I am so relieved this is not the case! I could not ask for better care for my son while I’m away from him. Thank you so much for giving parents a place that gives them a peace of mind when they have to be away from their children!

I visited this facility with a friend and it was friendly and clean. Children were engaged in activities and all were participating. I was especially touched by the few children that had special attention needed and it was obvious their needs were being gently met. Love this learning center.

And here's another contact us page that doesn't work. I waited for about 2 days and didn't get anything so I had to drive down to Gateway, brought my toddler with me. The front office staff was rude, was just chatting away with whoever was on her phone. I had to ask my question 2x before finally giving up and put down her phone. I noticed some kids crying in the hallway but nobody was attending to them. The front office clerk said they were fighting over something. Nobody seemed to care. 30 minutes later, I was driving away and decided I'm not bringing back my kid there.

Love this school. Both my babies go to Cadence and they are very happy every night when I pick them up. The Director Ms. Gail & Ms. Tyann are very attentive and always ready to help in anyway they can. the school is in a great and safe location and they have a nice playground outside. Would definitely recommend this Academy.

I had both my children in Gateway Academy on Columbia and I love them. They are like our family and they kids loved it there. I couldn't think of a better place to have my kids while I cant be with them. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place for your kid/s! Don't forget they have a summer program and an afterschool program as well!!!

Ms. Lexi (2 yr old room) is a passionate teacher who genuinely cares. She works hard to provide contextual kinesthetic learning opportunities with creative crafts such as felt boards to learn shapes and colors. Her upbeat attitude, really makes a difference that the kids gravitate towards. Ms. Kim & Ms. Kim are fantastic (1.5 year old room). As a professor of education, it is enjoyable and refreshing to see such caring teachers create viable curriculum with music and critical social learning trajectories for our son.
