At graduation, they made my daughter do this stupid "Tooty Ta" song. She was humiliated. At the school, she felt like she had to do whatever they tell her. I told her to be strong and dont do things that embarrass you.

This is such a wonderful, happy place-we can't imagine feeling more confident about leaving our baby in their hands every work day! It's like leaving him with family-except Goddard has all the toys and sign language our little guy can take in! We first brought our son to Goddard at six months. After looking around at every recommended school in the area, we made the easy choice of Goddard. At first entry, you can tell this place is different. It even smells better than the rest! I love going in there after a long day and there's my little guy-camped out on the lap of a beloved teacher. It's even okay that he doesn't always want to leave!

Our daughter who is now 4, has attended The Goddard School since she was 3 months old. We have been very happy with the staff, facility & learning programs there. In her most recent class room, they have the kids "sign in" when they get there in the morning. By this, they have them trace the letters of their own name on a little board. Our daughter not only recognized the letters of her name but could write her name by 3 1/2 years old! We have complete confidence that when we bring her there for the day, she will be looked after in a nurturing, fun and clean learning environment.

One of the best schools in Rhode Island. My Son loved to go to school every day, teachers are great, loving, caring and help the kids in all aspects of development. The owners Clay and Gina are the best and my son has learnt a lot from the school. I would recommend the school to any parent living in Rhode Island

We had a very good experience with everyone at Goddard. We really appreciated how accommodating the school was to our needs. I often arrived at lunch to nurse my daughter and was able to get to know her teachers. The directors and teachers were all very kind and friendly. I always felt like my daughter was in good hands. The most important thing was that my daughter seemed to thrive there and never was upset about being at Goddard.

We had a wonderful experience at The Goddard School South County and only stopped sending our child when we moved out of the state. From Gina and Clay as hands-on, caring and concerned owners, to the wonderful teachers in our child’s classroom we could not have asked for better care for our child. They promoted fun activities for the kids and the classrooms were always neat, filled with toys, and happy kids!

Our two children have had safe, loving and enriching experiences at The Goddard School. Our eldest started kindergarten this year and she was well prepared, thanks to her pre-k teacher at Goddard. Our son is blossoming and growing leaps and bounds. The staff are friendly and genuinely care and love the children. In addition, there is always clear communication between the school and families.Owners Clay and Gina are genuine, knowledgeable and caring individuals that have always made my husband and I feel comfortable, valued and have our children's best interest at heart. Our son started attending Goddard when he was 14 weeks old and we were absolutely thrilled with every aspect of the care, the teachers in each room, the school's security and the owners and directors. It was so much easier to go to work each day knowing my son was happy and well cared for, not to mention learning a lot. If you live in south or central Rhode Island, this school is definitely a great choice for child care and early childhood education. The only reason we are not still at the school is that we have moved out of state. We miss Goddard, but are relieved to have found good daycare/childhood education in our new community.

My child attended the Goddard School for 2 years and now looking back I wish I took him out sooner. He was sent to the ER multiple times for injuries and one he had to get 3 stitches in the back of his head for. The owners pay their employees very poorly and overcharge for their services causing a great deal of turnover. Also, I had a court order on file to not let my child’s father into the daycare facility without previous permission from myself and unfortunately the OWNER of all people let him in after neglecting to check the file. I had to rush out of work and involve the police at that point after a daycare I trusted couldn’t keep my child safe while in their care. My child is now attending a wonderful and highly rated daycare without any issues for going on 2 years and I wouldn’t recommend anyone sending their child to The Goddard School in South Kingstown.

Gina and Clay are always there when you need them. As a working mother, it is very difficult to find childcare you can trust. On countless occasions, I have called Goddard to ask them for assistance and they are always flexible and reliable. I would recommend this facility to anyone that is interested in finding a safe place for their children.

Great staff and management. The hours of operations and staying open during most Winter storms lessens the anxiety that working parents face. My two kids were ready for kindergarten. You know your child is happy when they beg to stay a while longer at pick-up.

The Goddard School in South Kingstown was an outstanding experience for both my daughter and myself. Over the two years our daughter attended the school, she was constantly engaged with the professional staff and show remarkable improvement in her learning skills. The Goddard School facility and staff is amongst the best we have seen in the southern RI area. The staff worked closely with us to ensure all our paperwork was completed and processed in a timely manner. This meant a great deal of financial stress was lifted from our lives. Our daughter attended the Goddard School beginning when she was 3 months old until she was about 21 months old. We'd still be there if we hadn't moved! She loved going to school everyday and truly enjoyed spending time with her teachers and all of her friends. As parents, we felt confident that she was safe and well taken care of. She learned so much while she was there!

My family had a wonderful experience at The Goddard School in South Kingstown. My son attended Goddard for approximately three years, from age 2 to age 5. Each room was great, with attentive and nurturing teachers. The Goddard School prepared my son for kindergarten, both socially and academically. He loved going to school there each day. The owners are awesome and provide a safe, caring and clean environment for all children that feels like an extended family. An excellent choice for childcare all around!

***** 5 STARS!!! The Goddard School has an excellent ownership and director team and the faculty and resource staff are amazing with the children! Clay and Gina are extremely professional and are very attentive and involved with their school. Miss Lauren and all the faculty and staff are super friendly and supportive of the children. The school has a very strong identity and sense of community. We toured several schools in the area and some were really good, but The Goddard school was at a completely different level than the rest. If you want a great school for your child(ren), I highly recommend The Goddard School in Wakefield, RI!!!

Recently, our family moved to Rhode Island from New Jersey where our children had attended The Goddard School. We loved The Goddard School program, values and people. Upon relocating though, we didn't know where we would send our 3 year old son. We were thrilled to discover The Goddard School in South County Commons! Clay and Gina Johnson welcomed our family with open arms and partnered with us to nurture and educate our son. And he had fun there! Additionally, our son has a severe peanut allergy that needed to be managed while attending school. My fears were laid to rest. Gina always worked with me to ensure the snacks that were provided were safe, the teachers were trained to used an Epi-pen and emergency procedures and it was never made to be an issue. I never had to worry about his safety. We have since graduated from The Goddard School but are still friends with many of the families we met during our time there. I highly recommend this school for early child care and preschool!

We were so lucky to find the Goddard School. We were looking to place our infant son in a constructive, safe, and warm environment and we found that in the Goddard School. The individualized attention and thoughtfulness the teachers and owners Clay and Gina gave our family was impressive and reassuring.
