REVIEWS OF Meadowbrook Waldorf School IN Rhode Island

This school has opened up my son in ways that we are so thankful for. Providing him such amazing tools for his education. The community is amazing and extremely supportive. They are not only dedicated to educating their children but their parents as well. We are extremely happy and excited for the rest of our days on this journey. Everyone should have some Meadowbrook Waldorf in their life. This school is the most amazing fit for our family. A nature based education that focuses on a philosophy of raising kind spirited children into kind spirited adults. No technology- so if your not interested in leaving technology out of education during this time in your child’s life this school is not for you, but keep in mind, Steve Jobs’ children have Waldorf educations, as well as many other very influential successful people in this world. Raising a kind spirited, well rounded child paves the way for huge opportunities for our children in a better world.

I am a Meadowbrook Waldorf Alumni and Class of 2012. I loved the 10+ years of waldorf education and the beautiful, close knit community Meadowbrook is known for. I love to share my experience with others and look forward to watching the school grow.

Both of my (now adult) children attended Meadowbrook throughout their elementary school years. Without a doubt, the experience helped them to grow into the independent and well rounded adults that they are. The classes were small and the teachers become like part of the family. The experience of Meadowbrook is one of community. As a parent, I was supported and learned so much about how children develop and why the cirriculum is so carefully planned, including the colors of their classrooms, to help them learn about things as they grow, without pushing them. They get time each and every day to sing and to play, along with a very classical education in literature, history, language, math and arts. The cirriculum opens their minds and their hearts to the entire world around them, while also teaching them life skills that many young people lack these days. I know that their years at Meadowbrook gave them a opportunity to develop into very productive and confident adults. They are articulate, very knowledgeable and successful in their work, they love to read, sing, dance and are creative, they are excellent cooks, can sew, knit and crochet with no patterns, they just sit down and make whatever they need. The friendships made between the students and parents have lasted many many years as well. The investment that I made in their childhood education was worth it a million times over!

Meadowbrook nurtures its students' natural curiosity, fostering a lifetime of learning and personal growth. On top of that, the community in which you become part of allows you and your children to participate in everything imperative in your school and home life.

All three of my now adult children spent their early childhood through middle school years at Meadowbrook. An education that fostered a love of learning, arts, music, handwork, movement...A true appreciation of the beauty in the world, in themselves and in others. As my husband always tells others when asked about the school, "It was by far the best parenting choice we made."
