Both of my (now adult) children attended Meadowbrook throughout their elementary school years.
Without a doubt, the experience helped them to grow into the independent and well rounded adults that they are. The classes were small and the teachers become like part of the family. The experience of Meadowbrook is one of community. As a parent, I was supported and learned so much about how children develop and why the cirriculum is so carefully planned, including the colors of their classrooms, to help them learn about things as they grow, without pushing them. They get time each and every day to sing and to play, along with a very classical education in literature, history, language, math and arts.
The cirriculum opens their minds and their hearts to the entire world around them, while also teaching them life skills that many young people lack these days. I know that their years at Meadowbrook gave them a opportunity to develop into very productive and confident adults. They are articulate, very knowledgeable and successful in their work, they love to read, sing, dance and are creative, they are excellent cooks, can sew, knit and crochet with no patterns, they just sit down and make whatever they need. The friendships made between the students and parents have lasted many many years as well. The investment that I made in their childhood education was worth it a million times over!
