I attend Ohio University as a MBA student online. I have been extremely impressed from the moment I first applied until the present. I am beginning my next to last class next week and have loved every minute of my academic experience at OU. Although I attend online the online MBA program has a mandatory on campus residency. It was one of the main highlights of the program for me and I am pleased that I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful campus and interact with my fellow students and my professors. I have felt from day one connection ted to the Ohio University community. Those who say that OU is only for those who cannot get into Ohio State are completely wrong. That is like saying that people chose Michigan State because they cannot get into the University of Michigan. There are different options for those looking for a different experience. I had many options where I could have attended and chose Ohio University because it was right for me, and due to its outstanding reputation and sincere desire on the part of the facility and staff to see students succeed. By the way Ohio University was the very first college in Ohio and the first in all of the Northwest Territory. It was simply the best academic decision that I could have ever made! Thank you Ohio University!

They have the worst admissions process of any school! I applied 7 months ago with no response and they wouldnt return my emails/calls. Now I finally have got ahold of them and they tell me I need to pay to apply again. I will never go to this school and I recommend you find a nice respectable school as well not this place. What a joke of a school!

The University is lucky I am giving them 2 stars. The service is absolutely unacceptable at this university. The classes aren't bad, but the service is horrible. I have called and emailed over a dozen times without responses (and remember I am a junior here). The university lied to me before and cost me thousands of dollars. You will be VERY lucky to find someone helpful enough to help you plan your degree, especially if you are transferring from a regional campus. I only give the university 2 stars because my experience at the regional campus in Chillicothe showed me there are a lot of professors that care and teach well, with small class sizes. If you go to this university, save money and go to a regional campus. Athens is not worth it. Be careful which university you chose. Especially avoid for-profit "institutions" like DeVry. I would recommend avoiding OU as well, as they don't seem to care about the students one bit.

OU embodies the phrase "work hard, play hard". If you apply yourself, you will get a great education but you will also learn to live life and meet friends that will last a lifetime. It's an absolutely beautiful campus and you will really immerse yourself within the Athens community. OU really is my hOUme. FYI to all the other reviewers who insist people only go to OU because they couldn't get into OSU - In all four years that I went there, not a single person has ever said "I wish I went to OSU instead". No one cares about them.

The school itself is amazing with many good professors and a helpful staff, in the business school atleast. Athens is a magical place that will change you and become your home. I never wanted to leave, but after attending for 2 years (I transferred in) and graduating with Finance, I was forced to move away.
