We loved the child care and Kinder Kamp programs at the Fercho branch. I highly recommend both - great teachers, great support staff, friendly front desk people to greet you each morning. I have no regrets sending my son here for daycare and preschool for the past 3 years, They do a wonderful job.

They need one or two more squat racks so people are not waiting around and it would also be a huge plus if they got a salt water pool instead of all the chemicals. Love going to this place though since the staff is great and it's close to home.

Personally I like the YMCA especially the one in south Fargo because of there friendly staff but I wasn’t pleased with how I was profiled today at the one in downtown. Regardless of my active membership I was sent home because I didn’t have my ID with me and accidentally left my membership card at home. The staff that was helping me “Dan Hoedi” or whatever his name was clearly knew that I was active member but yet sent me home with such a rude manner like he was proud I couldn’t get through. What got me even angrier is that they had a picture of me in file but clearly staff made up his mind to not let me in when I told him I left my card at home. I even verified my birthdate, address and other personal information. my whole I’ve never been disappointed. I know that good people exist, but that one experience made me hate YMCA. I’ve already made up my mind to never go back there. I hope if ever decide to go back there, I don’t see that staff face.

It's a great place to heal and grow your business. The hours are a bit extreme.

Decent equipment. Management is awful and will bend to the will of a few members. The child care has high turn over, so kids really are not watched by responsible and experienced workers. This facility has a big issue with bodybuilders and power lifters and has been known to kick them out. LIVESTRONG program is run poorly and actually encouraged the participants to consume food that could interfere with their medications. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Love the downtown Y! Fantastic new pool complex, updated weight machines, and a good selection of other services. Very friendly staff as well. :)

The staff is great. Very friendly and outgoing. The staff makes this facility what it is today and moving into the future. It it was not for the staff I would go elsewhere.

Terrible terrible customer service. My family has been coming to this YMCA for the past 5 years and due to the last couple events with your employee named "dan" the older gentlemen. We have decided to cancel our family memberships as long as he's continuing to work the front desk. My family and I have been apart of this fargo community for 15 years, as business owners in the area we take pride in our customer service. As I continue to write this review I'm not trying to be biased. The date was October 21st at about 545 PM, as I walked in through the doors your employee "Dan" had this aggressive non welcoming demeanor suited for a security position and or janitor NOT a local gym receptionist. As I walked to the desk I inform the gentlemen I did not have a card, as he's typing my information he seemed really agitated that he couldn't spell my last name correctly. I recently turned 25 and my family's membership only allows 2 adults, I told him that's not a problem I'm visiting from out of town and there's only about an hour and 15 minutes left till close. As I asked kindly may I use a guest pass or I even OFFERED to pay for a day pass. Dan stared me deep into my eyes thinking of something to say at which after about 10-15 seconds of staring he says "this time I'm not allowing you in because I smell a small hint of marajuana"? In which case I did NOT smoke, as I'm trying to get a nice workout in why would I smoke before hand? I was also picking up my little brothers and cousin from the family care. So why would I show up high if I have priorities and responsibilities to take care of? If I smelled like marajnuana so bad why did he go through the process of taking my information and making it difficult, from which the first moment I entered the building he could have had said something if I supposedly smell like "marajuana" I always try to keep a professional demeanor in public because of my family's restaurant and not try to put a bad attitude or name on it. Obviously at this point I'm irritated with the way dan spoke to me and handled the situation. I ask him "how long have you been working here for?" Dans reply: "1 year" As I'm walking out I tell him "you need a more relaxing job" Dans reply: "I used to work for homeland security" I understand he was following protocol as to why I couldn't enter the establishment but the way he handled it with his social skills was completely terrible. I've been going to gyms all over fargo and minneapolis and never in my life had customer service so rude. I used to come here ritually when I used to live here, my family still comes daily. This is the 2nd situation my family has had problem with this guy. The first situation was towards the end of August when my mother and my cousin *he is of Caucasian decent* he is also about 6'3 16 year old young man with mild autism. Dan profiled him and claimed he wasn't related to my mother and was not allowed to enter the YMCA, but he let his 9 year old sister to come in no problem. Dan made my special needs cousin cry. My step dad called talked to dan and took care of what happened and we did NOT complain to management or anything thinking it was a misunderstanding, but this is unacceptable for any business. I've never felt so profiled in my life, because I have long hair, tattoos and a small adult asian male whome looks younger for there age he assumes I'm a "hoodlum"? Every business is based on the culture and how you treat people. Fercho "FAMILY" I did not feel like "family" or welcomed. Your other employees are nice and sincere and have always felt welcomed when I walked in. But Dan he's taking your location and turning it into a military type boot camp and does know how to run a business or take care of the customers. As long as he is at the front desk my family has decided to cancel our memberships. Google has a charter limit but if u wanna read the full review I posted it on yelp.
