REVIEWS OF Raleigh Christian Academy IN North Carolina

As a graduate of RCA, and now a parent of a student there, I can honestly say that I am so thankful for RCA. Keep in mind, no place is perfect, and no school out there is right for everyone! Many reviews I have been reading on here are based on outdated information, or just plain bitterness though. RCA is a hugely diverse school! They accept international exchange students and families using opportunity scholarships. The overlying theme of the entire school is that God's Word is foundational to every area of life. My son's teachers genuinely love him and take care of him, and there's nowhere else that I'd rather have him. I know that the way I'm trying to raise him at home will be backed up in the classroom. If you're looking for a private, Christ-centered school that will partner with you in raising your children to have a Biblical worldview, then RCA is the place to be.

Based on my experience, my 3 children have found at RCA a very comprehensive education in all aspects: spiritually, academically and physically. First of all, It is founded on sound biblical principles that would help them in their formation years and thru their adult life. Academically, they are consistently being challenged to excel in the classroom and thru homework assignments, which I firmly believe will create discipline and prepare them for their higher education years. Sometime my kids complaint, my reply is “just wait till you get to college.” As a parent, I do not want them to have a “rude awakening”. And finally, RCA sports activities and physical education gives them the opportunity to physically & healthy developed…CHECK IT OUT!

I've took the time to think about why I'm would give RCA a 1 Star. Mainly because I was a mad parent at the time and wasn't happy with the school but this morning my son asked me "Dad why can't I go back to school today? I'm a good boy and I miss all my friends" After that it just hurt me as a African American father that has tried to give my son the best and things that I didn't have growing up. My son is a really good kids for a 4 year old. He's going to be a kid. He WAS KICKED OUT OF SCHOOL, SUPENDED, EXPELLED, AND CAN'T GO BACK at the age of 4. I can understand if he was being a bully, using bad language, fighting, pulling girls hair, talking to much, kicking and throwing stuff but sad to say IT WAS NONE OF THAT. RCA set a bad example for my family and I of a Christian School. I feel like I have wasted all my money and time taking him to this school. But it's amazing how God works, ever since we left RCA things have been falling into place and great things are happening for my son. If the pastor of the church just so happen to read this review just want you to know that I served you and your family twice at Season's 52 and it was because of you that I took my son to your school. After paying and sending my son there I just wish that it was what you said it would be.

We have recently had a student graduate from Raleigh Christian. He received a top notch education. We are thankful for the teachers who have taught him over the years. He had been in the school since K5. We also have one who has a couple more years before graduation. He has been at RCA since daycare. They have both had great success. The staff shows great character. Anytime we have had questions/concerns, the administration has been very helpful. We have the upmost respect for the administration of Raleigh Christian. If we had to do it all over again, they would still be at Raleigh Christian Academy.

Both of my daughters have been at RCA since they were in kindergarten with my oldest graduating next year as a senior. I am very confident in the education that she has received and know that she is well-prepared for college.. Raleigh Christian Academy has provided my children with a solid foundation of academics set in a Christ honoring atmosphere. The faculty, staff, and teachers lovingly teach and guide my children to academic excellence and spiritual maturity.

I have three children attending Raleigh Christian Academy. I am very pleased with the academics offered there. As in most families, I have children of differing abilities. I am pleased with the challenges offered to my academically gifted child, but I also appreciate the care and concern given to my children of average and academically challenging abilities. Modifications have been made in the classroom to accommodate their needs. Above all, my children are in an environment that challenges them spiritually. The dedication of the teachers at Raleigh Christian Academy is unsurpassed!

My family absolutely loves Raleigh Christian Academy. We have one son who is an RCA graduate and numerous times during his 4 years at college he has said how prepared he was for college thanks to RCA and their academic standards. Our younger children have been RCA students since K4 & K5. We are about to enter middle school and not only do they LOVE school but they love their teachers and the true sincere kindness, caring and concern that they show them. The teachers are fantastic!!!They are genuine, caring and compassionate. Our youngest has stated she wants to become a teacher just like the teacher she had in first grade- Choosing RCA was one of the best decisions our family has made! Our children are learning to Love and serve the Lord not only at home but daily in school.

I now have three kids ages 2-6 that attend RCA. This is a very solid school that teaches fundamental bible principles and a very good academic curriculum. My 6 year old is entering second grade and has had very good teachers that care very much about her spiritual and academic growth. We have come along-side the teachers and administration during the good and tough times. Both my 4 and 6 year old learned cursive, basic spelling and math as early as K-4. We talked to the teachers about how we can also teach them there techniques from home which was a big help, and our kids really excelled. Reading at night with our kids gave them an opportunity to share some of what they are learning (we would stop at the 3, and later 4, letter words and let them sound them out). It was awesome to watch their little minds soak in and their excitement to share what they are learning. All of our friends and family are shocked at how far ahead they are in their development, and I give big kuddo's to RCA for helping us with that. Kids begin memorizing bible verses as early as K-3 . I am ashamed to say it, but my kids probably know more bible verses from heart than I do. In addition, the kids have "chapel" regularly where they are taught the bible. My 6 year old was led to the Lord by her teacher and we were happy to share in that experience. Is RCA perfect....no unfortunately the human race is involved. But we are not perfect parents either. Having said that, we have always been able to talk through any issues and both teachers and administration are willing to help. If you are a parent that expects your child to be taught everything they know in school but don't practice it at home, then of course your child will have some issues that will make it a much more difficult experience. That is true of any school. It is true you pay for a private school and have high standards, but your child will always look to you as the example. I highly encourage parents to consider RCA as the school for their children. Visit the school and ask questions. I think you will find the teachers and administration are more than adequate.

worst school ever, they teach you to be a good examples of christian school, but instead they went the other way around. this school is a bad examples of a christian school. take your children away from this school and your money dont waste time here. your children will suffer the examples of a christian school in this school. and the people in the school are really rude. Would not even rate 1 star if i could.

RCA was a great Christian environment for me to succeed academically, spiritually, and athletically. The staff is very genuine and caring to the students. Every class is taught from a biblical standpoint to help the students see Christ through all things. As a student from kindergarten through 12th grade there was no better place for me to grow in the Lord as Raleigh Christian Academy placed a Biblical foundation in my life that will last a lifetime.

I attended RCA as a child back in the early 80's. They taught us how to do the pledge of a allegiance to the US flag, Christian flag, and the Christian Bible. We were given penmanship classes which at the time I didn't understand. But to this day, I get compliments on my handwriting. Also we got an amazing education about the Bible and morals. But here's the things that nobody will probably admit to now. In the first grade I was spanked with a ping pong paddle for talking in the bathroom. Not saying anything dirty, or profane, just talking in general. They didn't even call my parents or anything. Also for asking g questions during class to the teacher. I was told to sit in the hallway for the rest of the class. Then the teacher moved me out to the hallway for the remainder of the week. We were paddled for talking in the cafeteria during lunchtime also. We were only allowed to talk on the playground, or when a teacher asked us a question. That's it. Anything else, and you were paddled and or suspended. We as kids were terrified of our teachers and of God. Literally saying goodbye the name God was terrifying to me. These were all experiences that I had from 1st through 4th grade. And God forbid your parents weren't rich! All the rich kids would make fun and try to belittle you. This made me terrified not just that school but of school in general. I couldn't wait to get out! I'll say this, the only thing I really can say I'm happy about is that I learned that God is definitely real, that He loves me, and that he knows my heart. To this day, I don't communicate with anyone I went their with. I wish I could. Always wondered what happened to my former classmates.

I attended RCA from 6th grade to graduation. I absolutely loved it. I am proud of the Christian foundation they gave me, through the education. The teachers did an incredible job of preparing me for college classes. They put their heart into their students. My husband and I have 2 daughters, that also attend RCA. They are excelling in their academics, involved in many of the sports offered, and thriving socially. We couldn't be happier.

they have a very crappy volleyball team! LOL!! JK!!

RCA offers a first-class education. As an alumna, I was fully prepared for college and ranked in the top of my class from the outset of my college years. The structure of the classes and difficulty of the material ensure each student has a 5-star education. Additionally, interwoven within each subject are Christian values, applying each subject to the students' lives today. The faculty and staff at RCA are loving, caring, and qualified. The teachers exemplify Christian character in their everyday lives, and what they teach is supported by their lifestyles. In my opinion, no one could choose a better place for their child's education than Raleigh Christian Academy.

My son attended Raleigh Christian Academy from the age of two until he graduated from high school. My husband and I appreciated the fact that the values that we were teaching him at home, such as striving to do your best and having the right respect for authority, were reiterated not only at church, but even in his regular school day. We also appreciated the fact that he was continually challenged, through Bible classes, chapel services, and the examples of other teachers, to keep a close relationship with the Lord. Raleigh Christian Academy worked alongside us to help mold and shape our son into being a well-rounded student. He had the opportunity to be involved in academic, music, and athletic programs. I firmly believe that the strong academic program offered at RCA successfully prepared him for college. I will be forever grateful for the influence of so many wonderful, dedicated Christian teachers who took the time to try to not only reach his mind, but also his heart.

Our children have attended RCA since kindergarten. We appreciate the high academic standards in a biblical setting. The teachers show concern for every aspect: family, academics, faith. We recommend RCA to our family and friends!

I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of Godly love and compassion by faculty and fellow students. My daughter had a traumatic experience that affected her confidence and devalued her worth as a child of God. Sad to say, it's a very clickish, judgmental and disturbing environment to have your child in. As a parent, I never proclaimed my child was perfect, nor did I say she never did wrong. She was an A/B student, and trying her best to show them (both teachers and students) she wasn't the monster they pictured her to be. Yet, she had no one to defend her honor, no one to defend her efforts, no one to correct the wrongs made against her. In fact, the adults' behavior toward my child was anything but Christian like (yelling, degradation in front of fellow students, demeaning and hurtful comments, etc). It was as if she was being bullied by the adults in the same manner she would experience from students. Of course, the students were quick to follow their "example" by ridiculing and speaking harshly to my daughter. I finally decided to withdraw my daughter from this anything but "Christian" environment after personally experiencing some of the same insulting, rude, and unpleasant behavior. My biggest complaint is the "Christian" faculty's inability to teach and guide my daughter with the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. It's what I'd hope would've separated them from public schools and teachers. They failed in setting the example. They failed in exhibiting unconditional love. They failed in forgiveness and patience. They failed in fairness, decency and order. These key attributes just don't exist at this school. Pray hard and long before making a decision to send your child there. I gave them a chance (after being warned ) with hopes of an exciting and pleasant school year. Unfortunately, it was one of my worst school experiences and left a bitter taste in my mouth. I can only pray the spirit of God moves throughout that school changing the hearts and minds of all involved. And finally, beware of false prophets - Matthew 7:15

My wife and I have hosted three different foreign students at three different times over the years who have all attended RCA. We are strong supporters of Christian Education and are completely behind what RCA is trying to do for the youth of Wake County. The average tenure of the teachers there is almost 20 years per teacher. They love your students and are firmly committed to the difference that sound Biblical Christ-centered education can make in the heart and life of your student. I would not hesitate to recommend you to put your child in RCA at any grade. We have hosted a Korean girl student in high school, and Korean boy student in high school, and a Chinese girl student for three years now in high school. We love the school, and are so appreciative of what they are doing for young people in this country. RCA can make a difference in your child's life for the cause of Christ! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions... - Dan

I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to attend Raleigh Christian Academy K4-12th grade. I absolutely loved being a student there. I am thankful that I was taught each subject from a biblical perspective instead of being misled by the world's views of education. I loved the Christian environment to grow up in, and I felt safe at school. My teachers loved me, cared for me, and wanted the best for me. I am so appreciative of the great influence they had in my life.

Our son started the year in a new private school and both my husband & I took a huge chance and sacrificed for him to get a better education! we felt he was not receiving at public school...RCA has been the BEST decision we made for our son He has a 85 average in math, penmanship & bible

I attended Raleigh Christian Academy from kindergarten through 12th grade. Every teacher that I had was well-qualified not only academically but also spiritually. God's Word was the central focus of our academic day and was integrated into every subject. I was challenged to excel academically, and this thoroughly prepared me for college and future graduate studies. RCA is a very diverse school that accepts individuals from all walks of life. Just like any other school, RCA is not perfect. But it is led by true men and women of God that desire to come alongside families and help train their children academically and spiritually. I have no children at this point, but I wouldn't hesitate to send my children to the same school that helped shape me into the person that I am today. Thank you to the staff and faculty of Raleigh Christian Academy!

When we were looking at schools for our oldest son to attend, we talked with administrators at his base assigned public school and RCA. There was no comparison; the teachers and administrators at RCA are friendly and professional. They answered my seemingly constant questions quickly and patiently. The first day of kindergarten, we felt so at peace when he went into his classroom. The teacher lovingly welcomed him. The curriculum is wonderful. He is at the top of his class. He is receiving a solid foundation of academics and spiritual guidance. Our youngest child will be starting preschool in the fall. We are extremely pleased with RCA!
