This daycare facility is wonderful. The staff are pleasant and very friendly. My son entered the daycare at 2, he has picked up some words, made many new friends and his social skills have definitely improved. He always comes home with smiles. On many occasions, the will also bring home artwork and school projects. My husband and I love it!!! Conveniently located in Forest Hills and plenty of outside parking.

This is a great school with a warm family atmosphere where kids learn a lot and have fun at the same time. Originally we chose this school for my 2-yr old daughter for the following reasons after we compared it to 4 others nearby my home: 1. First of all, this is the only school that opens late until 6:30 PM Mon.- Fri. in my area. Both my husband and I work and there is no way for us to get home earlier than 6:30 PM. They are true friends of hard working parents like us with their long hours and flexible schedules. 2. Their rate is very reasonable and affordable. 3. The kids here are international and they don't focus on one special culture. 4. Easy access to the shaded private backyard and smaller size of the school (fewer kids) enable them longer outdoor/play time. 5. The staff/teacher are very friendly. 6. This school is next to the PS 303 public school where my older one was going to attend. 7. They open all year around. (I think the only time the school is off is one week in easter week and another in Christmas week.) 8. They pick up older kids for after school program from the nearby public schools with free transportation. My daugher has been in this school for 3 months now and we couldn't be happier that we made this choice. She is very happy there and brings a lot of beutiful projects (a lovely turtle, a bunch of beutiful tulips for the letter T, just to name a few. Her name started with T) home. She doesn't speak much English when she started, but she speaks a lot now. The thing we most worried about her was taking a nap. She got used to being held to sleep home, so we worried she wouldn't sleep in the school. But thanks to the very loving and caring teachers (the teachers pat/rub her back into sleep. As I know, few schools would do that!), she fell in sleep the very first day and she takes a nap almost every day. The director and all the teachers are very nice and they would answer your every question in a very friendly manner. In some schools, it's hard to be able to talk to the teacher in a daily basis and get the detailed information about how your kid did that day. Overall, we had very pleasant experience with Forset Hills Nursery & Kindergarten and would recommend to all our friends!

Our daughter has been enrolled in FH Nursery & Kindergarten since February 2019 and we are very happy with the overall experience. The teachers are kind and warm, they keep coming up with creative arts and crafts projects that she brings home from time to time, and our little one looks happy when we drop her in the morning. This is a great daycare in our opinion, highly recommended.

We are really glad that we decided on Forest Hills Nursery & Kindergarten as our daughter’s first school. Saul & his team of staff & teachers are fantastic & you can see the 40 years of experience that has been gathered by these early educationalists. As it’s small with only two classes, each student of theirs gets personal attention which is so essential for early learners. Every child & parent is treated like family by all members of staff. The flexible timings of their programs are one of a kind & convenient to fit each family’s schedule. And their rates are very competitive as well. My daughter is thoroughly enjoying herself with her teachers & friends & we have seen beautiful development in her since she started there. We absolutely recommend FHN&KG as a first school for your kid!!!

The best day care ever!!! We came as a new immigrants and my daughter didn't even speak english, but all that was not important, because she receive there full love, caring & attention from the 1st day., and this is the most important thing for small kids at that age! The place feels like home, the teachers working with them in a small groups, and they get all the attention that they need, and the help with going to the bathroom, eating etc. Everyday my daughter is coming back with different art & painting, she know all about all the difference holidays, and after couple of month she already spoke in English and even learned all the ABC, to sing, write and recognising all of them, unbelievable. I didn't teach her any of that, it's all from this amazing stuff of teachers that come everyday with full energy & good vibes for the kids, (and they are all working there for years, which is so important, because in other places i notice the teachers changing quite often and the kids have to adjust to new ones every time) Also Varda the manager is always around helping and making sure everything is fine! My Daughter going there everyday full happy. she gets up in the morning and just want to go play with her friends and see the teachers. Even for her birthday the 1st thing she asked was to celebrate it in the kindergarten!

I had enrolled my 2.5yr old sone there. It was his first time in daycare. After 2 weeks they turned me away at the door telling me that he cannot come to school because he is "too active". To be clear, I am a pediatrician by profession and I know I have a normal active 2.5yr boy( not a special needs/ADHD child). It is absolutely unreasonable to believe that he can 100% adapt to a new environment and routine in 2 weeks. Furthermore, since they claim to be in the business for "over 30 years" I find it hard to believe they do not know how to teach him to act accordingly. After all, that is why he was suppose to be in nursery school; to learn how to socialize. Lastly it is EXTREMELY unprofessional to tell someone as she is dropping off a child, that he cannot come to school anymore. There were not phone call or discussions on "he's not doing well, etc". Most professional paces of business would have at least given him at least a few months with a trial of "intervention" before kicking him out. Clearly they lack basic fund of knowledge on NORMAL child development.

We are very pleased with the care and services at this Nursery School/Kindergarten. My daughter has been attending for about 6 weeks and absolutely loves it, she often doesn't want to leave! Ms. Varda and the staff are very attentive and caring. They take excellent care of my 2 year old and make her feel at home. There is both structured classroom time and unstructured play time in a huge back yard. The blend of both classroom time and play time is really important for little ones. My daughter happily tells me what she has learned and often asks for her new friends after we leave and on the weekends. The facility has been in business for 40 years which is reassuring and shows in the staff expertise. A huge added bonus is the extended hours option (they are open from 7am to 6:30pm), the convenient location, varied scheduling options, minimal days closed and very reasonable pricing.

I cant say enough about this daycare. They are AMAZING. My daughter loves it. The staff if lovely, very friendly and they dont just take care of your child, they actually care about your child. They are those kind of people who love their job and are not only there because they have to. Always smiling, welcoming. I am sooo grateful I found this daycare, my daughter comes home almost everyday with beautiful and colorful paintings and hand made art, they teach them beautiful songs and make sure she is learning new things as well. Our 2.5 year old daughter goes to Forest Hills Nursery & Kindergarten and we are very happy with this day care center. The reason why we chose this day care is all the teachers are so warm and kind and the establishment is very clean (my daughter rarely gets sick). Also critically important to us is that the adult to children ratio is high so my daughter gets lots of personalized attention. Their hours are also great for working parents (8am to 7pm). Fun activities are always planned for the children. My daughter comes home singing new songs she's learning and brings home beautiful arts & crafts that we collect. Our daughter especially loves Splish Splash Water days in the summer. They set up a fun and safe water park in the backyard. Thank you FHN&K for taking such great care of our daughter. Maybe to note, the day care doesn't prepare meals for the kids, but we actually prefer to pack our own meals to ensure our daughter is always enjoying the best, healthy foods.

We love Forest Hills Nursery and Kindergarten. Our daughter has been attending since she turned two. She has made amazing progress. The teachers are very knowledgeable and attentive to all the kids. The facility is exceptionally clean. The playground is wonderful is well with lots of shade in the summer. Love, love, love Forest Hills Nursery and Kindergarten. My son recently attended their summer camp and had a wonderful time. The staff is kind and very caring. The teachers went above and beyond to make sure my son was safe and happy. Each day Ms. Frida greets us with a smile that lights up my son's face. She gives us a daily report of what he ate, what activities he participated in, and how he is adapting to his new surroundings. My 3 year old son came home singing the months of the year song after the first week of camp! My son loves the big outside yard and summer sprinklers. The classroom is filled with beautiful artwork and kept very clean.

I was looking to enroll my daughter into daycare next month so I made an appt. with Verda. I purposely left work early and when I got to the daycare she left without even calling me to let me know she would not be there. Someone else was their but they basically ignored me and told me to feel free to look around. What kind of treatment is that? I definitely don't feel save leaving my child in this daycare.

My daughter has been staying in this school for almost a year. I'm pleased with the facility and appreciate the care that her teachers have given her. My daughter started there just after she turned two. Initially I thought it would take her a long time to adjust and there was a chance that it might not work at all. To my joy and surprise, she handled the transition very well. I have to give the credits to the teachers there, especially Miss Shemisa and Miss Audrey. From learning perspective, the school offers a variety of activities on a daily basis that are age appropriate. Over the year, my daughter surprised me with so many new words, new phrases and songs that she learnt at school. As we converse in our native language at home, I'm happy to see that she is catching up so well with her peers. Oh, did I mention the art works that she bought home almost everyday? They are so cute that I have saved quite a few as decorations.

My daughter, Sophia, and my son, Miles attended Forest Hills Nursery & Kindergarten. Sophia is now 8 years old and Miles is now 3 years old and he just turned 4 in July. Mrs.Barbara, the former universal pre-k teacher for Sophia, is now Miles's teacher. Both of them learned there so much. One thing I like most about this nursery is that their curriculum is very organized and effective. They apply universal pre-k's methods for 3 year old. I know because my son learned the similar materials that my daughter learned when she was four in UPK. Of course, it was adjusted to the appropriate 3 year old level. I was anxious at first if he can keep up with it. But surprisingly, he did and it worked! The similar materials that my daughter went through when she was 4 worked just fine for my son who was only 3 year old. They learned butterfly metamorphosis, performed fantastic dinosaur songs at the year end party for the parents, created books (so many!), painted pictures, and much much more. When they were learning occupations for the career day, my son came home with big words, such as "Paleontologist", "Veterinarian", and surprised me. This school is so precious and we are SO fortunate that we can send both of our children to this school. My son sometimes wants to go to the nursery to see the teachers on weekends because he misses Ms.Shameeza. We strongly recommend this daycare for your child. They have very patient and respective teachers. Also, the owner (Mr. Saul) is always sensitive about our questions and concerns. The fact that the small space is a great advantage for your kids so that the teachers are able to allocate enough time for each child in the classes. By the way, it has a big play garden which is perfect for the summer season. We are very please to send our child to the Forest Hills Nursery and Kindergarten. We are also appreciate to all our respected teachers for their great efforts.

Forest Hills Nursery & Kindergarten provides children with a warm, welcoming, and encouraging environment. Our 2.5-year old daughter switched to FHNK in January after attending another school in the fall, and the difference was immediately apparent. As soon she started at FHNK, our daughter came home not only excited about having spent the day with friends, but also sharing all that she had learned. We heard new songs, saw her begin to recognize letters, know many more colors, and start to count. She also brings home lots of projects, and proudly shows what she did at school (she actually enjoys looking at them for days and sharing them with her grandparents when they come to visit). The teachers also deal extremely well with behavioral issues, encouraging children to be good friends and treat everyone kindly. The summer program is also a lovely experience; the backyard play area and sprinkler provide kids with a wonderful outdoor experience along with the educationally-based indoor activities that complete the day. Our only suggestion for FHNK is to start a universal 4's program so our daughter could stay there longer.

When my little guy started in August, he was 2 yr old and not doing things like the children his age. The teachers in this school took him under their wings, guided and protected him. Instinctively they became mothers to him. They were so patient and kind when teaching him that when it was time for pick up he wanted to stay. From the time my son has started to now, I've seen a vast improvement in his speech and behavior. I will forever be indebted to the staff at Forest Hills Nursery & kindergarten for the love, support, and education that they have bestowed upon my son.

Everyone there is super friendly and the place is always super clean. Our son has been attending this daycare for about a year. He turns 3 soon and absolutely loves it. I ask if he is ready to go see his friends and teachers every morning and he says "ok" and runs and climbs in his stroller. He randomly and frequently breaks into songs we did not teach him. He loves the daycare and that speaks volumes. The daycare has a large backyard for the kids to play in and I always enjoy seeing him running around with his friends when I come to pick him up. Our son is extremely active and inquisitive and does well here. His energy seems well directed. The teachers are great. You can tell that they really care and that they not only love their job, but love the kids. They look out for them in a very caring way. My wife and I are very thankful for this daycare and I'm pretty sure our son is too.

We highly recommend them! My baby loves the teachers and classes. She is learning so many and enjoying it! It's just few months she started going to the school but she has already learned so much! I believe the most important thing to 2-3 yrs old babies to grow up nicely is huge love and nice teachers, not just learning ABC or numbers. They offer everything my kid needs now. They are trusted!

We are so happy to have our twins at Forest Hills Nursery and Kindergarten and highly recommend it to other families in the neighborhood. We enrolled them just after they turned 2 and they attend part-time. I was nervous as this was their first time out of my care, but they adapted so well and now look forward to going every afternoon. The management is very responsive and accommodating and the teachers are caring, treating our children like family. We toured a few nursery schools in the area and after 10 minutes here, we knew this was our place. The curriculum is solid and allows ample time for indoor and outdoor play and our kids come home with beautiful art projects each day. They can sing their ABCs, count, wash their hands with soap, and each day come back with an excited report for us. The teachers have also been really supportive of the twins' potty training (which we started on the early side, so it requires a lot of patience!). Highly recommend and appreciate that they have full- and part-time options. Thanks FHNK!

We switched our 3 year old son to Forest Hills Nursery & Kindergarten in February 2019, and it's been a great experience so far! The teachers are lovely and engaging, and work with the children on a variety of lessons - counting, letters, animals, etc. They just completed a whole unit on ponds and what animals live there. My son comes home with his work and is so excited to share it with us. I love that the teachers send home letters every week about what the children are working on and what's coming up. The communication with parents is great. There is a big outdoor space the children play in when the weather is nice. The inside is clean, fun and bright. My son is happy and smiling when I drop him off and happy when my husband picks him up in the afternoon. It's a great daycare - no problems whatsoever.

After searching many in forest hills we choose this one. They have wonderful teachers and manager such as Ms. Barbara and Ms. Frieda. We greatly appreciated everything they do. Can’t say enough about these two ladies. Mrs. Barbara and Shami. Tommy loves going to THIS school, every week he comes with a bag full of class work and you can tell he is indeed learning just by his knowledge. My daughter has been going to this school for a few months. For the first month, they kindly let her go for an hour for a week for free and then she eventually started going there for a part time for a few weeks, until finally she got used to everyone fully. The teachers are all caring and have taken good care of my daughter. The kids over there are all great. My daughter enjoys being there and now, every morning I bring her to school in the morning, she goes straight to her friends without even saying bye to me. The tuition is also very reasonable and they are flexible with time. I highly recommend this kindergarten.

Forest Hills Nursery & Kindergarten is everything we hoped for in a daycare. Our little one started at two years old and we could not be happier with the staff’s care and professionalism. Like most everyone we were extremely nervous starting our two year old in daycare, but now we cannot imagine sending him elsewhere. All of the teachers are caring and attentive. Our little one comes home home everyday having learned something new. If you want your child in a safe and loving environment I recommend this daycare.

Best Daycare I ever found in NY. It's a family. When my daughter first joined she was literally in the teacher's arms all time. Now after almost a year, every morning she just couldn't wait to waive me goodbye at the door to join her "family". 这家老师很好，新来的孩子几乎都是抱着的；学生不多，孩子能够得到很好的照顾，学语言、唱歌跳舞，很自然。

This is a Fantastic school. My daughter has been going here for a year and I can't begin to tell you the difference in her. Talking, confidence, pretend play, alphabets, coloring, nursery rhymes, u name it, she knows it. When I went to visit this school, I thought it was small compared to a lot around but on second thoughts I said small will give her more personal attention and since they charge you by the month, I could always change it anytime. Biggest achievement was she didn't cry the 1st day of school. I didn't see any kid cry 1st day and I was amazed. My nephews and nieces all have cried for weeks to settle in school, but not at this school. I have a fussy eater and the teachers actually feed your kid and are so open to communicate. Ms. Audrey is fantastic with kids. She has 18 yrs. experience and that beats any high end school with gyms and music coz, whats most important at 2 is my child being happy and among loving teachers. Ms. Varda the owner, is fantastic. My child had to be out of school for a scheduled therapy for 15 days, and they actually refunded the fees. One of the only day cares with transportation. the bus has car seats and so punctual. Their timings are fantastic and if for any reason u need to keep your child longer, they are so accommodating. I just cant say enough about this facility. Parents, I have a kid who wants to go to school over the weekend too. That should say it all. Don't think twice, parents

My son has been attending this daycare for almost a year. It was intimidating at first, but the staff and Varda are very understanding and treat the kids great. The transportation has been wonderful and my son has been enjoying his time there. Even being one of the younger kids at the school, he has been well cared for and is learning. The staff is helpful for parents like us, who like to make sure he is well cared for. They are open to discussing concerns and that is key for parents!

When you first walk in your greeted with smiles and kindness, the years that this facility has been open shows, in the care and the way the staff make you feel at ease. Particularly because am Mr. Mom its more troublesome for me to be made at ease, they did just that. Other parents as they come in out to drop or pick up their kids are just as kind and let you know and answer your questions, the neighborhood is great the, the facility is good, The staff is great and the children that attended are just as amazing.

Excellent School. Everyone is very loving and caring. My son started goign there when he turned 2. I leave behind 2 daycare schools on my way to this one .. its 15 mins from my house and its all worth it! We wanted our son to go to a daycare where they really care about kids and not just the head counts. small class size means MORE ATTENTION. I am glad that we picked this school for my son. he loves going to school and is learning very fast. now he knows ABCs, counting, colors, shapes etc.. and comes home often with cute learning craft work! I am a picky mom who had been to 4 day cares before joining this one. This place is a gem! Ms Verda is running it from 40 years and and Ms Audry is amazing! 19 years of experience means something! all the teachers are very gracious , polite and very hard working ... dealing with so many kids for hours.. they still manage to smile :) All in all.. if you are looking for peace of mind for your baby and a safe place where he/she can learn and be happy - THIS IS THE PLACE! Highly recommended by Parents of 2 .5 years old boy!

Forest Hills Nursery and Kindergarten is a great day care and early learning facility. My four-year old son has been there since August and loves it. The staff treat the kids like family and the facility is small and intimate in that my son and the other children get to really know their teachers because the classes are not overcrowded. In addition, the facility is very clean. When my son arrived, he was just starting potty-training. Now he is potty-trained, in large part because of the help and support of the teachers there. The facility is also located in a nice, family friendly and safe neighborhood in Forest Hills. It is about 3 blocks from Queens Blvd. I highly recommend Forest Hills Nursery and Kindergarten.

Forest Hills Nursery is wonderful! My daughter started when she was 24 months old. She was nervous and cried at the beginning because she knew very little English. I called Forest Hills Nursery and spoke to a lady named Freida and told her about my son who would be starting in September. I gave her my name and asked to visit the facility. I went with my husband and saw the place. I called to set up an appointment to go back with my son. I called back the next day and surprisingly she did not remember me, my name nor my visit with my husband! Be careful because that is just simply dangerous for your little one. Anyway, finally after three calls, she remembered. I went back with my son and was just shocked the way she treated us. From the get go she looked at my son from top to bottom and made us feel very uncomfortable. I find that to be very very very rude, unprofessional and disrespectful! My son is an intelligent toddler and has learned all his alphabets, numbers, shapes, colors etc. by the age of 1 and half. He eats by himself and is well behaved. He likes to explore because from the very beginning we made sure we had a of quality interactions with him. He had traveled with us to many different places since he was six months old. We always make sure to keep him stimulated. He takes a swimming class and a soccer class. We spend hours discussing books and reading them. He has a dedicated library area in our house. He is definitely curious and playful just like how a normal/ healthy toddler SHOULD BE!!! She saw me and my son and almost as immediately she made the decision of not liking us. Shall we call her racist, perhaps. She was literally JUDGING him and making small derogatory comments throughout our ten minute visit. Mind you, we only stayed in that place for about 10 minutes!!!I could feel her negative energy exuding and her being terribly judgmental. I stayed calm and said we will leave now. In reply she smirked and said, “we like a very structured class” and went on with her condescending attitude. I left the facility and called my husband immediately to let him know what had happened. Such people should be ashamed of themselves for calling themselves teachers/ caregivers. We found another day care that felt so wonderful and perfect for our son. A place that felt warm and NORMAL. Stay away at all costs if you want your toddlers to grow up to be intelligent and successful because they are definitely NOT putting the hard work and dedication it requires to raise such kids. Saul, Like you said, Mother’s Day so I have been busy. I was hoping to call you today and discuss my heartbreaking experience and here I see your response to my review. I took out an extra half an hour of my day to write the previous review and I can assure you that every single word is true to the core. I will be calling you back today. I think as a owner you should know.

I cannot praise the staff of this school enough. The owner and the teachers are very caring and personable, truly vocational. They take extremely good care of my two-year old and make him feel at home. As a teacher myself I like the school curriculum, which is helping my son to develop the skills he needs at this early age. The facilities are nice and clean. There is a huge backyard for kids to enjoy some outdoor play and activities.
