1. Considering Hope is a Christian school, it is understandable that subjects are biasly taught - mainly science. With that being said it is somewhat difficult transitioning to public education. 2. A lesbian student was pulled aside by a female teacher in regards to her sexuality. During this confrontation the student was told she would go to hell if she did not adjust herself. While speaking with the teacher about her remarks made to the student, she explained the student's sexuality was attributed to sexual abuse. The teacher had zero evidence of sexual abuse ever occurring. It was her personal belief that homosexuality is a result of sexual abuse. 3. A freshmen bible teacher (I am not sure if he still actively teaches at Hope) taught that women must submit to their husbands and that females are not "built to work" which is why the husband should provide. He also mentioned a children's television show being sinful to watch and how the two main characters are homosexual. He spoke on the Harry Potter series as well, rebuking it. Many complaints from parents and students were made to the head of staff. 4. Gossip between students and teachers is very common. During class, a male student was allowed to pull out his phone to show the teacher photos that a female student posted of herself on her social media. This is highly inappropriate as students gathered around the teacher's desk to view the photo and rude remarks were made about the student between other students to which the teacher made no attempt to stop but casually said "Be nice." 5. Many students are guilt tripped into feeling ashamed for who they are. Female students must abide by a strict dress code which I do understand but within reason. Sex or societal issues are not discussed unless in reference to god and if not always referred back to god rather than what solutions can be made, or possible conclusions made. 6. If you are looking for a diverse, friendly school that offers a good education where the rules apply to everyone, I do not suggest sending your young impressionable child to Hope. Of course no school is perfect, but here the bad outweighs the good. I do believe sending your child here will have a detrimental effect on them growing up and later on adjusting into society. Hope's mission statement - "Hope Christian School is a Christ-centered community that provides a safe environment, equipping students to grow to excellence spiritually, academically, physically, and socially, becoming passionate leaders who will transform the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

I have been going to hope for 7 years now and have had a really great time. The teachers love you and pray for you no matter what and there are many times when they talk about their own past expierences to show us that they had to had christs love and forgive those who wronged them. The school has very good sports and gives a very good education. Extremely different from public school in the fact that public gives you a basic and hope will give you an advanced education.

My kids have gone to Hope Christian School since 2004. We have loved our experience there, both for our children and as a place to get involved in the lives of students and their parents to further God's kingdom. We truly have appreciated the biblical teaching our daughters have received in every subject, from math to science to English and social studies - even art, music and sports. I would recommend Hope Christian School to everyone - and I do frequently!

Hope Christian School is a great God centered school. Both my daughters attended HCS and have benefited from their education, and the high standards the school sets.. The sacrifice financially to send them was well worth it. We have seen many updates recently that are so encouraging both spiritually and academically in all areas. God is doing a great work there and has great things in store I am certain.

My children have attended Hope Christian School for 11 years. We started them when they were three and it has been the greatest blessing! The academics are amazing, and there's nothing like raising children in a Christian environment. Hope also has a great sports program. Together with the staff and parents, we build together to send our children into the world as confident, Christ-centered, young adults.

Our family has been affiliated with Hope Christian School for the past 25 years. We have three children, two of which are adopted. Each one of our children was treated with love and care. One daughter has dyslexia and Her teachers worked amazingly with her. She was able to graduate and go on to Pima. They also played sports and made life long friends with teachers as well as other students. Our son is now a pastor in Texas and One daughter loved Hope so much she ended up teaching there. I highly recommend Hope Christian to all parents! May your children be as blessed as ours were!

Hope Christian prepared our children well for college and for life and I am forever grateful! The teachers and staff pour in their very hearts. They set a high standard, educationally and morally. My children are now grown, successful, productive members of society, but more importantly, they walk with the Lord keep His Kingdom first. Thank you, Hope Christian!

Multiple students told me a member of the staff (I am unsure if it was the principal or a male teacher) told an entire class of impressionable teenagers that a man raping his wife was not considered rape because the Bible says a woman needs to please her husband. Disgusting. For someone to tell young people this is dangerous and wrong. I would never let my child attend this school.

Hope Christian School was a wonderful experience for my son and family. After relocating to NM in the middle of his freshman year, we were pleased that he was so welcomed and how quickly he integrated into the campus community. He participated in HS sports and was encouraged in his training to become his personal best. Coaches were very knowledgeable and inspired well rounded student-athletes. Teachers were experienced and well equipped. He was supported, challenged and motivated which ultimately prepared him for a successful college career.

This school is not what my girlfriend hoped it would be. Think of it as an affordable alternative to public, not a real private school.

There is an unbalanced emphasis on English as opposed to math and science. A majority of the teachers are unwilling to assist in publishing clearer lesson plans that allow parents to keep their children on track. Athletics are promoted strongly, but tend to be “clique-y” and the emphasis is on winning, not fair participation. There are constant requests for additional money, above the tuition, that arrive via email most weeks. There are some good people involved, but the institution’s fundamental inefficiency and misdirection stifle a great deal of the positive potential. We would be happy to tell these same things to anyone in person. Our comments to administration were met with indifference. We’ve regretfully decided to remove our child from the school for next year.

My two younger children graduated from Hope. They received an excellent education, were very prepared for college and are doing very well in their respective careers. More than that, they learned values, respect, and developed leadership skills that are priceless.

Been here a long long long time .its a good place .good people, good kids ,its got issues, but what place does not have issues. Over all its a grate environment. Look kids are kids .we all know they get into mischief. But seen a lot of good kids here .as far as cost ! Well its one of the cheaper privet schools .But the quality of the people here is hands down one of the best ! Its mire like a family than a school .
