My child got stolen from here. She went for a year-and-a-half and one day a guy claiming be her father who is not on the list went and took her out of the daycare. All they did was get a copy of has driver license. Just because he claimed to be the father. Then the director called and lied to me and said that he picked her up multiple times that was the first time he has ever step foot in that daycare. However LOVE the teachers they were really wonderful with the kid and I liked how they cleaned all of the toys every Friday. The teachers were really friendly and my daughter really love that place she still cries to go there even though she has not been there for over a month

My daughter, who is 2, has had an amazing experience with Bluebird Daycare. They have a truly caring staff that has provided her with a loving and nurturing environment. When she first started, she was very shy, not wanting to talk or eat. She has blossomed in every way imaginable. She now talks, very clearly and in complete sentences. She talks about her friends and teachers at school and tells me about the fun she has while there. She knows her ABC’s, 123’s, and colors. I have seen her grow and am truly grateful. Thank you again for all you offered her. ----Therese

Worse experience EVER ! I went in to do a walk through with my son & daughter with a woman named ms. Aida , she’s a great actor . When we came into the school she was being so nice but once we got down to the end of the tour her tone of voice just was so off & she was really rude ! She was yelling at the other children and when I told her I need my kids at the school for only three days out the week she had a whole attitude because i wouldn’t let them attend the school full time . She told me if they couldn’t be there the whole week I could take my children elsewhere ! She is so money hungry . NOT TO MENTION THE CLASSROOMS HAD VERY STRONG ODORS , children running around with snot all over they’re faces touching things .... and the school is just so tiny . There were children hitting other kids and the teachers just stood around watching ...... they don’t greet u AT ALL !!!! THEY ALL STAND AROUND LIKE STATUES !!!!!! Worse experience ever I don’t even know why that school even exist .......... CYFD NEED TO BE CONTACTED ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!!

My son has been going to the BBDC for a few years and we love it there! My son loves the teachers and has made numerous friends. They always keep me updated on everything that goes on while he is in their care. He is always bringing home art projects that he made and telling me about the things he learned. My son is about to go into the pre-k class and i think they have done a wonderful job getting him ready to move up. There are a lot of fun summer programs for the kids to do. The Directors are very nice and understanding. I would recommend this daycare to everyone i know that is looking for child care.

I have a four (4) year old son and he has been in the NM Pre-K program all year, prior to that he was in the Early Pre-K program for three (3) year old’s. Finding the right childcare and school environment can always be nerve wracking and overwhelming, so to find Bluebird early on was a huge relief. The director Ida took the time to answer all of my questions and show genuine concern for my unique schedule needs and academic goals for my child. I needed my child to start off attending no more than three (3) days a week then gradually transition him to full time, Ida stated that this was a reasonable request given that my child had never been in a school environment before and that moving to full time when he and I were ready was perfectly acceptable. The teachers for both Early Pre-K and NM Pre-K were fantastic, they would do weekly science experiments in the classroom, they would teach my son about emerging literacy and math, he would always come home from school singing new songs in the car ride home. He was always eager to read and tell me about the new book he learned about during circle time at school that day. My son and I have also thoroughly enjoyed the homework assignments that his teachers have sent him home with, one of the assignments was to create a solar system and present it to his class during circle time, we had so much fun together picking out the colors he would use to paint his planets and constructing a solar system that he was so proud of. I really enjoy how Bluebird takes the time to make learning a fun experience that the whole family could enjoy. One of my favorite aspects of Bluebird is the bilingual education, my son would come home knowing his colors and shapes and numbers in Spanish, he would recite songs to me in Spanish. It has always been important to me that my son know a second language or at least be exposed to a second language early on so he could build on that language skill later on in life. The bilingual teachers have always been very kind and responsive to me and my son, they are very engaged in their professional roles and responsibilities and demonstrate a genuine interest in my son and his needs. I am currently a stay at home mom with my two (2) year old daughter and I know as soon as she is eligible for the Early Pre-K program she will definitely be going to Bluebird, I have no doubt that my daughter will receive the same high quality education that my son has received. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the staff at Bluebird and have tremendous respect for the job that they do and for the director Ida. She is always professional and responsive and I would not trust my daughter to be anywhere else. I am sad to see the NM Pre-K year coming to an end as we have enjoyed two (2) wonderful years at Bluebird but I have no doubt that my son is more that academically and socially prepared for the road ahead. I am sad to see negative reviews, it is clear to me that in this day and age it is easier to complain and to be part of the problem than to take the time to appreciate the hard work and dedication that the staff at Bluebird are demonstrating. I would recommend checking out Bluebird for yourself before rushing to any type of negative assessment. Melissa

My child was there one day, never in school before so he needed a little extra help, hes also very high energy. They changed how much the tuition would be 3 times, They wrote a report about my child, all the things were very unlike him. And then when I got there told me they didn't realize he had just turned 4, even though we had told them that several times and he would be in the 3 year old class due to school birth date cutoffs. told me after his first day he couldn't stay there because the 3 year old class is full but kept my enrollment fee even though according to them they couldn't even legally enroll him. We found it suspicious and called them today asking for an opening in the 3 year old class and they told us they had an opening. and we called them out and they hung up. So if your child is high energy, or new to daycare they don't want to put in the extra work. Also when I picked him up I could hear them yelling at my son through the door to sit down. They have no patience and are not willing to put in work with children.

Both of my daughters go there. 2 and 4 yrs of age. They love it, always learning new things every time they go. Location tucked off in the corner which I personally like.

My experience with Blue Bird's staff has been very positive because the teachers demonstrate a genuine concern for my child's academic needs. He enjoys going to the center because he is learning about the planets, the universe, the space, and meteorites, And, he likes to tell us about what he is learning everyday. I also like the fact that the center is located with easy access to my current place of employment.

The teachers are okay. Everything else, IS NOT.

Over-priced and the 5 star accreditation is a joke. My child went there for a little over a year and got nothing out of it except for getting bitten several times. Every time I walked in there it was chaos, no structure. I have since found an amazing daycare that is cheaper, offers a lot more for my child to do/learn than Bluebird ever did. It doesn't have a 5 star accreditation but it is a nationwide chain and they have lots of resources that a "mom and pop" shop like Bluebird doesn't have. Bluebird's toys and playground equipment were old and beat up. I agree with the previous review concerning the "Summer Program". It was no different than the school year program except that it costs more. I too have moved my child to a summer program that actually goes places weekly.

The owner is not very nice and she has her favorits

This place is HORRIBLE!! Michelle the owner Director or whatever is a PHONY acts like she is perfect by far is she, Any little incident she will send your kid home, she labels children and so do some of the teachers, NEVER EVER gives any of the parents a break it's always about money with her. You cant even drop your kid off 15 minutes early she expects a payment right there and then. I had an incident happen to me that my bank account was hacked and i was not able to pay right on friday i would pay monday first thing in the morning Michelle told me if i didnt have the money to pay on friday my children would not be able to attend that week and i would have to pay $60 in a late fee. She is nothing but a money hungry b..... was not satisfied with Blue Bird at all!!!!!!!!!

My daughter has been attending Blue Bird since 2012; she had previously been staying with my mom or mother-in-law (home environment with no other children). Since she has been enrolled she has learned so much! We've enjoyed watching her grow and blossom socially, developmentally, verbally and emotionally. Now at age 4 she is learning her letters by sight, letter sounds and numbers by sight - she knows how to write her name and loves to draw her letters play tag, help cook in addition to many other things. The staff is always so attentive and loving with the children and the facility is well maintained. My husband and I know we made the right choice sending her to Blue Bird and highly recommend this Daycare & Learning center to all of our friends, family whenever possible.

Horrible! Horrible people that run this establishment. I was fifteen minutes late to pick up my child yesterday. This morning I was told I had to pay a $60 late fee right away or they would not watch my child. I asked if I could pay Friday (my payday) because I do not have $60 right now. I again was told that they would not watch my child until the fee was paid. And they are keeping the $125 I just paid them- four days worth of care. Crooks! Don't sign a contract with these devils. Also, I have seen nothing in this program that merits a five-star rating.

I have a 2 yr old grandson who attends Blue Bird. When he started he was so shy he would hide from everyone and wasn't yet talking. He has been there 8 months now and is a little leader and sings all day long. He tells All the teachers "Hi" and "bye" and they'd respond in such a cheerful and kind way, that I tell there's love there. In fact I see that with so many children there. I really appreciate the staff's hard work to keep the place clean, safe and full of creativity. Thanks for putting 100% each day for our kids. Having worked in childcare myself, I know it's hard work and under appreciated. I can honestly say the owners put so much into this place to provide a great center for learning.

The staff turn their heads to children who get bullied especially the learning center coordinator. I have confronted and complained 4x about the mistreatment my children were getting from other children. The staff does not report any of these actions unless a child defies them. When I had a conversation with the director she raised her voice at me and said "kids lie and she trust her staff and if I can't trust them then take my kids elsewhere". after I showed them bruises other kids left on my son's face and NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT except.... tell us Monday if you will leave your children here or take them else where or don't bring them anymore. After my children said infront of them they did tell and my son was getting bullied and by who and what caregiver they told THEY CALLED THEM LIARS TO MY FACE AND TRIED PRETENDING THEY DIDNT SEE THE BRUISE ON MY SON'S EYE. This behavior is very unprofessional and CYFD needs to look into this facility and how it is being conducted. parents should have the right to see if their child is being bullied, attacked, misbehaving, and make the caregivers more alert and responsible for their actions. This is the reason why children don't come forward and say anything, because of people like this, people you are trusting with your children's safety treat them as nothing. I am a parent that cares for my children and i know not many do anymore, but as a caregiver it's your job to care, it's your job to establish rules, order, and a safe happy environment. Not only at your convenience.

My daughter has been going her for about a year and she loves it. Ms Sonja and Ms Sherri are so supportive and focused on each childs needs. Great cirriculum and taylored learning to keep each child interested.

This family run business constantly talks down to their employees. I used to work here and can safely say I'd never take my kids here!

I don't recommend this pre school at all. I've heard of bad educators but someone who deliberately tries to discourage children from school is unthinkable. My grandson who is 4 and so excited to go to school was forced to only be allowed to go two hours a day. For one this is pre school a new learning experience. Unfortunately there wasn't another one available, but to hear your grandson cry because he wasn't allowed to stay the day at school was outrageous! I think the director of the school seriously needs to rethink.her career path. She is definitely not about the children .

My husband and I set up tours of preschools for our daughter and Bluebird was one that we toured that day. We were so revolted by Bluebird I feel compelled to write a review for prospective parents and perhaps to illicit change from the owner. Upon arriving we walked in to children playing in the "playground" which looked more like a prison yard. Two "teachers" were busy having a conversation in Spanish to each other ignoring both us and the children running amock. Finally they looked up and asked us what we wanted and pointed us to a door with doorbell and muttered "ring" and went back to gossiping. Upon entering we were hit with a wall of the most putrid smell, I can honestly say,I have ever smelled. It was a combination of sewer gas, feces and synthetic deodorizer much like a urinal cake found in a truck stop. Gagging on the stench made our wait for the Director, Ida, unbearable. Finally she met us and besides the cursory greeting said nothing and lead us into the school area for our "tour". Ida seemed disinterested in us and our tour and we felt our scheduled tour was unwelcome. Tour consisted of her on her phone gesturing to us to look around. It was absolute chaos. The teachers look so haggered and beat down we felt bad for them. Their eyes communicated fear that we were bringing another child. The teachers did not look professional and personal hygine seemed like a low priority. When we engaged one of the teachers she commented that she was "just trying to keep them busy." Call me crazy but I would prefer that the education that we are paying for our child be more than just busy work but actually attempts to engage them. Or at least coach your staff on what to say when parents come through. The facility was dark and dirty and the toys were old and broken. We were then told to go back to the lobby and wait. Walking back in to the lobby the stench seemed to have gotten worse. Curious as to why the front office/lobby smelled so disgusting yet the space with kids and bathrooms smelled fine. Bluebird was such a stark contrast from the other schools we visited which were bright, clean and had professional staff. You might think a place like this would be inexpensive or subsidized by public assistance but in fact it was the most expensive of all if the schools that we visited. The fact that they are accredited tells me that either 1) they can pull their stuff together to meet those requirements or 2) things have gone down hill since they received accreditation or 3) accreditation is a joke. Unless management makes real and substantive changes Bluebird will continue to fail and disappoint.

The director is very rude. Favoritism is very apparent with her staff, children and parents. Very fake. They have no experience with children with special needs. My daughter was bit multiple times here. My daughter bit another child and was suspended. When my daughter received bites she was never apologized to no one apologized on behalf of whomever bit my child. I walked into the daycare called out of work to find out my babies suspended my daughter bit a child whose mother works at the daycare... just the day before my daughter was bit I got a signed paper and not even a glance from the director no apology but was told it's not my daughters fault but she was taking toys from the child who bit her. I am so disgusted by the director and her daughter. I hope people see that five star accreditation is paper its computer classes, the play ground with its duck tape roach bombs everywhere roach hotels in the bathrooms bites that leave you counting the teeth with your toddler as an activity. It's not worth the 5 star. Learning is how to scrape your own plate wash your hands and sleep at nap time 5 star is a joke my opinion is the mom or daughter know someone because how they've accredited is beyond me. Break skin bites are okay so long as your child is the one receiving them.

My son has been going to bluebird for two years. He loves to go to school telling me an my husband "How much fun he has at school", and that he likes his teachers. My husband an I love the director she's very understandable and a nice lady. I would recommend that bluebird is a nice and clean environment really organize. 'TEACHERS ARE WONDERFUL'

Sarah Campbell

My child has gone there 10 months, at the age of two she was constantly put in a high chair as punishment and told by others she'd sit in it up to 45 minutes. She was in the high chair for every meal time on top of that. Upon my child's last day at BB, March 16th, 2017 my child was bit by another child so bad that now my child has a scar left on her back. (This was not the first bite she's received there either).

It’s more like a slum daycare.

Jennifer M. Peña

Our son attended for a little over a year. Changes were made with teachers and classrooms and we were not notified. This bothered us, but we were willing to overlook it because we felt he was happy. Eventually, they asked us to find another daycare for our son due to "excessive incidents"- that we weren't notified about. They also refused to refund the month of tuition we had pre-paid. Their initial charm fooled us, such a disappointing experience.

Karina Olivier

I have two children and they have been going to bluebird for close to 4 years. I have been so happy with our experience at the daycare! They call me and my husband if there is any question about how the kids are doing. There are open lines of communication regarding all aspects of care. My children are there full time because me and my husband both work full time. It is so nice to know that if there are any questions or concerns the school will contact us to verify that we as parents are on the same page as them. The school is family run and all of the teachers are wonderful. We are so lucky to have had such a wonderful place for our children to be while we are at work.
