Im carmen Francias son i moved to mary ann binford and they had no acadecmics and i truly appreciate this school and so im moving back and i love this school

We transferred our daughter from a charter school and were apprehensive at first. Overall, it has been a good move. We also enrolled our younger daughter when she was ready to enter Kindergarten. Our one complaint is communication between school and home is an lacking at times. A parent survey was sent home recently and I felt I didn't have the information needed to adequately answer the questions. Often, memos for meetings or performances are sent home with only 2-3 days notice. Both my husband and I are working parents and it is difficult for us to get off of work with such little lead time. We have been very happy with our daughters' teachers and the education they are receiving. The staff appears to be close knit though I find this causes problems at times. I have raised concerns as a parent, I have found some of the staff take it too personally and are defensive in their responses.

Awful experience when principal and some staff from this school worked at Barcelona in the summer they lost my child by putting him on a random bus ( we told them he don't ride the bus we pick him up) they took over an hour to find him on a number of buses worst day of my life ! Never even got an apology!!!!! No protocol for kids missing after an hour?

The administration here has pretty lousy organizational skills; They don't return phone calls or relay messages, sometimes they will notify you of incidents involving your child and sometimes they don't say anything at all, and they usually give short notice on school events. We found out only one week in advance when the first day of school was (it turned out to be several days earlier than the staff had guessed out loud to us before, so we had to cut an out of state visit short). Our child's teacher has missed scheduled meetings with us and my kids class has had substitute teachers fill in regularly. Im still waiting on a return phone call for a voicemail I left for the principle over a month ago. I was shocked to see how good this schools google rating is then I read the comments and that explained it. (Looks like kids are the ones leaving reviews). Also, it seems like they show favoritism towards kids who have parents or family that work for the school. I'm not impressed with the fake smiles. Just because you're friendly doesn't make you good at your job. In an effort to end on a positive note, I'll say my son is fond of his teacher. *update: my child was bullied at this school by another child whos parent works at the school. The situation was swept under the rug. I didnt get a call from the nurses office to tell me my kid went to the nurse with lumps and bruises from getting beat up by 3 other students. They intentionally left information out when I called to see what happened. The principle has not called me back after numerous calls and messages.

I personally love Adobe Access the PRINCIPAL is an amazing person I love a lot of the teachers that my son has had my son has gone there since pre know he is now going into the 4th grade
