Our son is extremely averse to trying new things and is the clingiest child we know. So when we initially sent him to Palisades School, we expected endless months of tears. We were blown away when after just a few days, our son was asking for more school. He is always talking about this and that friend/teacher, and is always singing the songs he learned in class. It's all a testament to how nurturing the teachers are, how well-thought-out and exciting their curriculum is for these toddlers. The teachers are very attentive to each child's needs and provide constant feedback. I personally also love the school's focus on giving back to the community. We can't say thank you enough to all the wonderful teachers and staff!

We send our daughter to 5 full days to palisades preschool when she just turned 2. This is the only school we checked during the school’s open house. Our daughter loves playing there during the open house. We spoke with all the teachers and felt that they really love what they are doing and patiently answered all my tricky questions. We made our decision less than 2 hours after we visited the school. It turned out we made the right decision! Ms. Bonardi and Ms. Daniela are so great! They helped our whole family (of course grandparents are the hardest to please in our case =p) to go through the little one’s first two weeks of school! We saw huge improvements of our little one just a few days attending school! We can’t thank the teachers enough. Tonight our little one came home and told us Ms. Daniela put a pretty stamp on her hand (yes, the 2 year old knows both teachers’ names and who is who less than 2 weeks attending school! That explains why we made the right decision!) school facilities or technology are not the best in the neighborhood, but we choose the school because of the teachers and teach kids how to behave and interact with others. That’s more important than having fancy facilities or high tech nowadays!

Our experience at Palisades preschool has been nothing less then amazing. The curriculum is outstanding and the head teachers are top of the line-experienced teachers, especially Mrs. Bonardi. We love the exposure to arts and music and all the activities the kids prepare and participate throughout the year. I do not have any complaints about the school.

It’s hard to put into words what it means to me to have had my children go through Palisades Preschool and Kindergarten of Fort Lee. My niece went to this school 20 years ago and I always kept it in mind for when I had children someday. As a parent, all you ever want is what’s best for your children and their safety. This was an easy choice for us. The school is run and organized by some of the most wonderful people you’ll ever come across. They’ve been doing this for decades and continue to get better instead of resting on their laurels. It’s with a heavy heart that I write this as our youngest daughter is months away from finishing her preschool experience. Both of our daughters grew so much in this school and were really well prepared for what was ahead for them. I’m proud that they had this experience, and at the same time sad that it will be over. This will always be a special place for us and a wonderful memory of all the wonderful things Mrs. Hubschmann and her staff accomplish. Thank you for taking such great care with our children. They are the most important things to us in this world. We love you.

My children went to Palisades Preschool since they were 20 months old. We could not be happier about their learning experience. Palisades instructors are caring and provide age-appropriate guidance. They are experienced yet still very energetic. We are so happy with the curriculum that includes daily instructional teaching, free play and arts, weekly gym, music, movement classes and monthly science & library class. The park across the street is a bonus for the kids to meet up with friends after school!

My son used to go to another daycare in the area and will cry every morning when I drop him off. Ever since he started at Palisades Preschool he is the happiest kid ever. He has learn so much its amazing. Staff is lovely and caring. I am grateful to have found this place to help me with my son's education. I highly recommend Palisades PreSchool.

If I were to tell you what a phenomenal place Palisades Preschool is, you wouldn't even believe me! As an elementary teacher myself, I am obviously a pretty tough critic when it comes to evaluating educational environments. When I say I took my 3 year-old to at least 10 preschools, even enrolled him in one, only to jerk him right out of there, with no reimbursement I might add, because of the nonsense that was taking place there, I am 100% serious. Since my 3 year old began Palisades Preschool in September, he has mastered so many skills- both socially and academically- that I, as well as friends and family who have had the opportunity to witness his outstanding growth, have been blown away. Furthermore, and most importantly, he looks forward to going to school every single day and comes home with detailed reports about the fabulous hands-on activities he participated in that day. Finally, would you believe he is now potty-trained when, in September, he had absolutely no interest whatsoever in using the potty. In closing, we all know that a school is only as good as its teachers. My son's teachers have completely taken him under their wings and facilitated a stimulating, hands-on, safe, and enjoyable first year away from Mom, and for this, I am eternally grateful! Thank you, Mrs. Salcito and Mrs. Peterson as well as the entire staff at this warm, family-run school. May you be so lucky as to have your child share this same experience.

This is truly a happy place for children! I️ can’t say or write enough good things about Palisades PreSchool. As a former student myself (30 years ago!!!), I️ was familiar with the school and knew it would be a good option when my son became of school age. And, I’m SO thrilled we enrolled here when he was 2 1/2. A few tears were shed in the first days as when you start any new routine and now he wakes up in the morning asking to go to school! He loves his teachers and his friends. Every morning he is welcomed like family and we leave him knowing he is in good hands. Over the past year, we have watched him mature into a kind and curious little boy- singing fun songs, reciting his pledge of allegiance already, also studying life skills like traffic safety and how to be a good friend- and eager to learn more. He is now a big brother and we are looking forward to sending our little guy Palisades PreSchool when the time comes.

The Palisades Preschool has been around for over 50 years which is a true testament to this institution. Our son has been in the school for his formative years and his development has been truly amazing. He has grown socially and academically in ways we could have only dreamed of. The school exposes the children to all subjects and cultures through art, music, science and the language arts in English, Spanish and French! The school is still run by the founding family, gives back to the community and teaches the importance of this each month and most importantly the teachers are phenomenal. They are the perfect balance of caring and supportive, nurturing the children's development while also teaching independence. Any child is lucky to have this as their first school experience - they 'graduate' extremely well prepared for Kindergarten and their academic future.

When I searched for a preschool for my toddler I didn’t know where to start. There were so many to choose from. So I began visiting various schools every week and the day I visited Palisade Preschool my search ended. I felt like my child felt most comfortable here when compared to other school tours we had been on. I liked the informal nature and flexible schedules they had to offer. A bonus point was that we could walk to it from where we live. Eventually my son started going there and though he had trouble adjusting to being away from me, his teachers made the transition for both myself and my child very supportive. No matter how many times I called in the short 3 hours my baby was away from me, the staff addressed my every call, question and concern. Now I have no hesitation if recommending this school to anyone and in sending my other kids there when the time comes.

My kids and my sister's children love this place. They're wonderful with the children and really help them navigate and learn. And they also provide feedback on our children and things to help and aide at home. Planning on returning for camp as well!

Everything about the school day is very thoughtful. We especially like that the detailed curriculum includes varied extracurriculars that involve everything from the sciences to music to athletics. The kids are also encouraged to engage more in their local community via nature walks, visits from the local fire department, etc. The simple yet thoughtful homework assignments also keep the parents engaged in the kids' education without being at all burdensome. Overall a great school.

Palisades preschool in Fort Lee has been such a loving and nurturing environment for my son. He began their last year when he was 3 1/2 years old. He and I both had a hard time separating at first, but the staff was wonderful and now he’s in his second year and loves it! The teachers and staff make all the difference they truly love working with kids and you can tell.

I have a lot of kids and live in an area where there are many pre-school options nearby. Three my kids have gone here for pre-school. It's a small intimate learning environment with teachers who have been there for years. The teachers know the children by name from day one and are competent, warm and compassionate. They maintain a good balance of learning and fun and often incorporate special events like petting zoos and having special visits. They often have open house events that offer great discounts. I usually try to take advantage of that and/or the sibling discount as once again I have a lot of kids. The open houses are also a good opportunity to meet the staff and teachers. My older girls have moved on to elementary school and are doing very well. I truly believe they acquired a love of learning and going to school from attending Palisades Pre-School and Kindergarten. I totally trust them to help build a strong educational foundation for my kids. Planning on enrolling my youngest when she's old enough to attend.
