I would recommend Greenhouse Preschool for any parent looking for an ideal environment to introduce your child to an education setting, prepping for future schooling years. I send both my children to this school, both are still currently attending. Most of the teachers and the staff at school are extremely dedicated and caring. There are some extremely outstanding teachers and staff, in both locations (Ridgefield and Fort Lee). The structure of the school is nurturing and the routine preps the children well for future years to come in a formal education system. Communication between parent and school is efficient and responsive. Their tuition fees are higher than most preschools around the area, but on the whole I believe this worthwhile, knowing that my children are well taken care of and are learning and developing. The only main concern I have about this school is the open enrollment all year round. I think open enrollment at the beginning of each semester is fair. However open enrollment year-round makes it extremely stressful for the children who have already become acclimated to their familiar friends and teachers (especially the younger classes). An upset/crying new student in the middle of the semester creates a lot of tension in the classroom, and makes it even more difficult, and very stressful, for the teachers. It’s not very fair for the children already there, and for the teachers. But despite this, I believe the teachers have handled these situations well.
