My son has been going to FPPK for four years now and I could not be happier with the depth and breadth of the experience he has had there. The staff and teachers are dedicated to the whole life of the child and with the small class sizes, often with an assistant, each child receives loving and focused attention. Most importantly, it's a co-operative school - we as parents are welcome into every aspect of the daily life of the school - and that experience has been priceless. These early years go so quickly, I'm grateful for the chance to be so involved even as my son becomes more independent.

This is a warm and loving coop preschool. The staff are so caring and kind and my children have learnt so much and been so happy there. There is a fantastic community of parents and because it’s a coop school (you help out in the classroom) you are able to see how your child is developing and growing. Also this is one of the only schools in the area with a large indoor gym for winter recess. Truly a gem of a preschool!

I love sending my two boys to FPPK. The special care and attention that’s poured into each child can put any parent at ease. The co-oping school system is what first attracted me to FPPK and the transparency it brought to each child’s learning and growing experience. I recommend FPPK- especially for early childhood education.

FPPK is a wonderful place as it allows us, the parents, to be part of our children’s progress and growth during the days we help in the classroom (co-op). The Kindergarten program is fantastic! Through out playing, children learn so much and every single child that graduates from school comes out writing, reading and loving science. Both of my girls went to FPPK and we feel it’s our second home. It's not only a school but it’s a community!!!

My boys absolutely love Fppk. We’re so lucky to have found such a fun, loving, and nurturing school! You get such an amazing inside experience as well because you get to coop in their classes. Then indoor gym is huge! And the special classes (library, movement, & music) are such an amazing addition to the school day as well!

I'm so glad that I discovered FPPK. After touring various preschool programs, I knew that this one could not be beat. I immediately liked the flexibility and options for program hours, the renovated classroom spaces and large outdoor playground. Once school started, I could not have been happier with my daughter's teachers. They are so nurturing, warm, kind and creative. It made for such a wonderful atmosphere for my daughter’s first school experience. I was also impressed that the children attend “specials” in other rooms of the school and are taught by specials teachers. I was initially unsure what to expect from the co-op experience, but after volunteering in the classroom about once a month, I realized how unique this is. I am able to see my daughter in her day-to-day interactions and partake in some of the activities that she experiences in school.

FPPK has been home away from home to my three children for 7 consecutive years. I consider the staff my extended family rather than teachers and administrators. If you're looking for a loving environment for your children to thrive, and you want to see their progress first-hand through a cooping environment, this is the school for you.

We have spent five years as a FPPK Family, sending both of our kids through, and we could not have asked for a warmer, more enriching early childhood experience for our children. On top of that, we have met so many kind, pro-active, down-to-earth, like-minded families that we are blessed to call friends. If you have a prospective preschooler and want to be profoundly involved in his/her early education, I highly recommend First Presbyterian Preschool and Kindergarten.

My child attended kindergarten at FPPK in 2014. If we still lived in the area, we would have sent our younger children to FPPK as well. Our child had a wonderful experience and thrived with a small class size. The teachers were PHENOMENAL. Our daughter learned so much and was at the head of her first grade class after leaving FPPK. Also, we were quite impressed with the school performances that the children put on for the various holidays, in addition to the art show at the end of the school year. We would not hesitate to recommend FPPK!

We were so happy to find FPPK when we arrived in the neighborhood. We didn’t know anyone and it was great to find a school that has such a great sense of community. The school has great facilities - playground, big indoor gym, library. Also included in the curriculum are music and dancing. Co-oping is a great aspect of this school, it gives the parent a chance to be part of these early learning years, and you never get that opportunity once they grow up.
