We picked this school because my husband learned about Montessori through his work and wanted our kids to have that experience. They also have daycare for babies as well as preschool for older kids. But more than these external things, what I love most about this school is the staff. They have been nothing but kind-hearted and loving to us. My 3 year old talks and talks about Ms. Barrios, and the infant teachers take amazing care of my 1 year old. I truly trust the staff. It warms my heart to see how my kids are growing and how loved they are along the way.

Save your money if you have other schooling options. I'd love to give a positive review since I'm typically a positive person but I can't. Starting public 1st grade after 3 years at Apple is not only an adjustment but a difficult transition to say the least. My son was 1 of 2 kindergartners in an entire class of 3 and 4 year old's. Behavioral traits learned from his toddler peers are not communicated to the parents nor is there any system in place to correct these poor behaviors. Unfortunately, only now can my son's public 1st grade start working on real issues with strategic and practical tools. Apple will paint a perfect picture for monetary gain.

Great education. Teachers and assistants are amazing. Kids do lots of educational projects, field trips, and there learning methods are truly amazing. I'm only giving 4 stars due to the timely check in procedure every day (have to goto kiosk and enter 2 codes or fingerprint and code which is utterly redundant) also lack of recycling (use foam containers for lunches) and Mahwah location doesn't do uniform exchange at end of year (graduating kindergarteners either throw out or donate uniforms rather then having new kindergarteners the opportunity to have them as hand-me downs) or casual Fridays so kindergarteners must be in uniform every day.

Amazing administration , owners are very hands on, every question is addressed /handled ASAP. My daughter has learned so much. She is practically reading long as well as short vowels the the age of 4.5! She is surpassing her three older cousins in both math as well as language.

Our daughter has been full time at Apple in Mahwah since she was 10 months old.. now she is most 5. We have so much to thank the school for. She is independent, outgoing and very well spoken. Everyday she tells us something she learned at school. Reading, math, science, astronomy...she can look at the sky and point out constellations. It's amazing how much these children can lean when are in the right environment. So thankful!

Ms. Childs has been a wonderful addition to the Mahwah Apple location. She is extremely knowledgeable, honest, hardworking, and caring. My child has thrived in her classroom!

This school is the best in the world. The school is super clean all the time, but what is great is the teachers. Mrs Hakkenberg is the most enjoyable person in the world. My daughter loved her so much. She loved going to school every day. She also role played everything she was learning at school. I was (correction "am") impressed by all the things she learned is such a short period of time. We had to move, and I've been looking for a school and realized how spoiled I was with Apple Montessori Mahwah. They are absolutely awesome.

The best thing about working in apple is that you learn to become a better teacher and a better person. You get to help kids learn how to use everyday material that we use in everyday life. Since i have kids it also helps me to help them understand things.

My son is learning quickly, and not only sounding words out, but also learning life skills such as cleaning up after himself. My other sons went to another preschool program, and couldn't even hold a pencil at the end.

My son loves AMS. He has learned so much from teachers and peers. I transferred him to this daycare due to my job change about a year ago. I was worried about him at the beginning. Fortunately he fit in quickly with the help from teachers. All the teachers and day care assistants are very nice and helpful. I feel so fortunate to find a place where my son enjoys so much learning and growing. Thank you to all AMS staff. You are the best!

Lovely school, lead teachers have college degrees...this is a huge positive for us as many traditional schools hire teachers with experience but they can't spell or use simple and appropriate grammar. I love the large, uncluttered classrooms with high ceilings... classrooms these days are so tiny, crowded and overstimulating for kids, it is completely unnecessary. The school is impeccably clean and they have an impressive sanitizing machine that is used daily to sanitize ALL toys and teaching materials. They also have an app that reports everything your child does, including potty breaks and what they eat, how much, etc. I'm a tough person to satisfy but Apple at Mahwah has definitely met my standards. They are also constantly updating and improving their building and outdoor facilities. One suggestion would be to be more transparent with illnesses during the winter season, for example place a board in the lobby showing what illnesses are reported. In that way, parents can decide if they want to read it or not.

She is always talking about her teachers, and the other students which makes me believe she is truly engaged while in Apple School.

My daughter just graduated from Kindergarten and by comparison she is way ahead of where she would be in a public school kindergarten. Her teachers in Pre-K and Kindergarten were super and attentive and she has learned much. Most importantly she really likes school and AMS builds character in the kids. We like the fact that the school has uniforms. We are very happy with AMS and plan on sending our girl further on with AMS schools.

Our son has been in Apple Montessori Mahwah since September 2016 (infant class), and my wife and I could not be happier! The head teacher is amazing (Miss Toledo is the best!), and we can tell everyone in the school truly takes the time to get to know and care for our son- even the executive and admin staff all know his name, and take time to see him everyday. My wife switched jobs, and even though the location is no longer convenient for us, we are keeping him there because we are so happy with our (and his) experience. You can tell that it isn't just a daycare, but a school where they challenge the kids to learn. He has grown so much intellectually since he started attending. Plus, they have an App that provides you pictures all day (a must-have) and a detailed update at the end of every day. I highly recommend Apple Montessori Mahwah for anybody looking for a daycare/school.
