This is my 5th year working for Apple Montessori. Working here has given me the opportunity to grow and learn as an educator. The Montessori philosophy is not only a teaching method for me but a way of thinking and living. I appreciate what we do for the children and am grateful for the opportunity.

It gives me great pleasure to recommend Apple Montessori in Edgewater, New Jersey for parents who are looking for a nurturing and challenging educational environment for their young child. For over two years, my son has attended the school. The entire staff treats him with respect and compassion. In fact, they treat all of their students as if they were their own children. An environment like this is precious and any parent would want his/her child to be part of this community. As the Senior Lead Staff Developer for the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University, I support school districts throughout the country and the world. As a result, I work with countless students and teachers. In my experience, the Edgewater staff are some of the most hardworking and dedicated educators I know. Every adult believes in what she teaches and has a strong educational philosophy. Staff members know the children well and take pride in encouraging them to socialize and challenge themselves. It is simply amazing to see my son grow up in this community. I truly believe Apple Montessori in Edgewater is a gift to the community.

Our experience at Apple Montessori – Edgewater has been nothing less then amazing. The Apple curriculum is outstanding and the head teachers are top of the line-experienced teachers. Daniel left the school a confident child, reading way above his grade level and with general knowledge that surpasses his age. We love the exposure to arts and music, the concerts and all the activities the kids prepare and participate throughout the year. I do not have any complaints about the school, if any, I would recommend the schools to become more environmentally aware, and lead by example when it comes to exposure to toxins, recycling and use of materials.

I'm so happy my daughter is going to the AMS Edgewater. She has started when she was three and she didn't speak English at all as we just moved to the US. Now she's in Pre-K and I'm so glad to say she is starting reading and writing in English. She loves all the activities there- and there are lots of them. I'm happy to see her excited to go to school every day! Thank you, Ms. Ortiz and all teachers for your great work!

I’ve made an appointment to make a tour 2 days prior to my visit and then I arrived 15 minutes early in case I had to fill fill any questionnaire and the recepcionist didn’t open the door even though she could see me through the window and I was holding hand with my 3 years old daughter so what kind of danger I’d represent?? When I pressed the button I mentioned that I had an appointment so she could finally open the door and as soon as I get in she just told that I was stopping by too early and I should go to somewhere else and be back on time. Really??!! No thank you very much. I left just wondering if I had choose this school what kind of treatment I would receive in case I need to talk to them regarding any issues that my daughter could have.

Edgewater Apple Montessori has been a great experience for our kids. They have learned so much. They are able to read, write and do math at high levels. Equally as important are the life skills our kids have learned. Our kids have grown so much in your school. The staff led by Ms. Bagnato have been incredible. They have been so caring over the years. Our children really love them all. We are moving on to another school in the fall but its with a heavy heart. Thank you so much for everything

Ive worked in a number of school and AMS is easily the most amazing. Their curriculum is unbelievable. They have children as young as 3 reading and 4 and 5 year olds doing advanced math. If you want your child to have a strong foundation to prepare them their bright future.

I have high regards for Apple Montessori schools. The staff of the Edgewater location treat my son with respect and believe in him. The staff treat all the children as if they were their own. The children are continuously challenged and encouraged to do their very best. Most of all, the teachers believe in what they are teaching and you can tell from their interaction with children.

One special thanks to Ms. Ortiz, and the teachers work in her class. Ms Ortiz’s soothing voice and gentle attitude calm every kid down (and parents too!). She is a very dedicated teacher that would walk the extra mile. Her care and passion for children makes her a loving teacher. She is the motivation that my daughter will wake up early in the morning cause she wants to go see and play with her. I feel very grateful that my daughter is in her class.

My child was grabbed and shoved by his shoulder while he ran towards me in the play area outside within the chain link fence by the assistant director, Ms Marte After I complained to the director Ms. Bagnato, the assistant director, Ms Marte targeted my child, fabricated stories and nothing was done to rectified. Well when I called the tuition office, I then received a call for a meeting by Ms Bagnato but I never heard from the owners. You would think that with the severity of the situation the owners would be more involved. Especially since I expressed to the tuition office my concern for my child's safety and my dissatisfaction with the way the entire situation was handled at the location level. It is discouraging that as a family owned business and after what took place in their Hoboken location, that this incident was not handled better, especially when a staff member placed their hands on a child inappropriately and the parent witnessed it.
