I have had the opportunity to observe Laurie Archambault interact with children. It is obvious that she loves to teach. Laurie is very patient with the children, and she brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to her class. It is clear that she enjoys teaching.

Ms. O'Reilly is hands down one of the best teachers I have ever seen. Ms. O'Reilly is extremely enthusiastic about her occupation and you can see it in the way she teaches her students. She captivates her students and teaches them in new and creative ways which other teachers, I recommend, should take not of. Ms. O'Reilly has a constant radiating positivity about her and typically is not seen without a smile on her face. Overall Ms. O'Reilly deserves in A+ in my gradebook!!! :)

I went to HAA for almost all of my education, starting in preschool. As the only non Greek in my class, learning the language was especially difficult, since I had no one at home to speak with. I was able to keep up, but in 7th grade I transferred out and reenrolled for 8th grade. I was brought back down to a 4th grade level in Greek, but Mrs. Booras helped me every single day and by the end of my time at HAA, I wasn’t entirely caught up, but I left with pretty good conversational skills and 3 years later, I was able to comfortably act as the interpreter for a school trip to Greece. She is an amazing teacher and her class is still one of my favorite memories.

I have been part of the HAA community for over 20 years as a parent and 17 years as a Greek language and culture educator. I truly believe I have the most rewarding job in the world as I have seen many graduates of the academy go on to enjoy great success throughout their lives. The nurturing environment, the unique curriculum, the cultural trips abroad— all have played a critical role in building the solid foundation that is required to become active, contributing members of society. HAA is my second home and I couldn’t be prouder!

The School is wonderful. It is great for education, and child development and is the model all schools should aim to replicate. The staff is amazing, especially Miss Lori Peters the Prek 3 teacher! She is wonderful with the children, an excellent educator and is extremely polite. With Miss Peters you know your child is truly in the best hands, and it is people like her that really make the school special. Thank you for caring so much, a dedicated and devoted teacher is something that is becoming more rare these days. It puts a smile on my face knowing there is still a standard of excellence here.

Helen Gaudet, the office administrator, is adept and instrumental in the daily operations of the academy. My children are very happy and thriving academically. The Hellenic American Academy is by my standards the best elementary school!!!It is my elementary school of choice, especially since I went there and it is truly a blessing to see my son attend the same school. The Hellenic American Academy is such an amazing school filled with the most caring and supportive educators any parent could hope for. “Miss Helen” Gaudet is the welcoming face in the front office who is always happy to assist with any questions or concerns. She facilitates registration, tuition payment, and handles any reports of tardiness or absences. She is quick to notify everyone of early school dismissal or snow days. My Pre-K4 daughter loves when Miss Helen lets her press the button to buzz people in at the front door. Miss Helen is a genuinely kind person who goes out of her way for students and parents alike, and we are so lucky to have her at the HAA!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mrs. Maria Booras. Both of my daughters have her as their Greek teacher at the Hellenic American Academy. She’s amazing at what she does and how she is able to teach the students about the Greek language, culture and traditions. She has the ability to successfully teach the Greek language to children with no Greek background. It’s so impressive to watch the children perform Greek songs, dances and poems during the special family programs the school offers. She is the heart and soul of the school!! I highly recommend the Hellenic American Academy! The school is a gem and it offers the best education and learning environment for my daughters. The Hellenic American Academy community is wonderful!! The sense of community allows our children to go to a safe and nurturing school where the students feel a sense of belonging. The Hellenic is a great school filled with history and culture as a former student it prepared me for the future . The school has evolved over the years and has installed great teachers and staff.
