This use to be a good school. The teachers cared, nurses but most importantly the principal. Ever since the old principal left and was replaced with Mrs. Marroco it has gone down the gutter. She could not care less about the students in that school especially with kids with learning disabilities. I would recommend not sending your kid here. They will not learn properly and won't be able to work to there full potential because the new teachers they have in this school are terrible. Some of the teachers are choosen because of there relationship with the staff not because of there ability to teach. I only know of one teacher there that is still good and her name is Mrs. justice. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE!!!

So my son attends this school I have no problems with it academically, but why did his teacher tell my son that the shirt he was wearing is inappropriate. He's a ten year old boy and kids say this all the time. All the shirt says is "WHO CUT A BIG ON" and it has a pine tree falling over. Am I wrong or is this shirt really inappropriate for school? I would like other parents opinion please.

Very horrible school, teachers using profanity twords 8yr old kids. The bus never shows up kids are left out on the street corner before parents have to take them to the actual school, no point in a bus stop they have no crossing guards to even help or show students where to go. The principle can care less about what parents have to say they are not helpful at all. I regret moving on this side of town because of this horrible school. My child has the ability to learn and yet she’s coming home from school crying after being cursed at by a “professional teacher”. Not recommended

My daughter went there from k-4th, and she enjoyed it but the one teacher she didnt care for was mrs bissatini i myself thought she was rude and selfish. Mrs sargent was her favorite. It needs improvement there for sure

This school is the best!!! All my teachers, or were my teachers, were amazing! I swear if people criticize this school, then they have NOOOO idea what they are talking about! Mrs.Parker is outstanding! I'm in sixth grade now, and she helped me academically and emotionally! I'm sorry, but you people are dumb to give this school any less stars than 5 stars!

Everybody there provides a warm welcome and provides help your child needs. I graduated there now I'm in Helen c cannon. It's sad how mad galante the original music teacher, coach fendell the original PE teacher and Mr.bodnar have left. I remember ms galante would always bring something boring into life and whenever it was close to a holiday she would make the music room filled with decor! Coach fendell has led tomiyasu on a winning streak in the trackmeet! Proud to say tomiyasu is 3 year defending champions! He left tomiyasu and hopefully the new PE teacher will pursue the track meet win! Mr bodnar has been (I think) the longest teacher to teach there. He was there when the principle was switched. He can be really cool except when you aren't behaving and thins like that. Sure tomiyasu isn't a five star school because of the crts and sbacks sure it doesn't have the greatest lunch sure it's not a big school, but tomiyasu has something not a lot of schools have. The ability to welcome you as a big family. There have been two generations in that graduated from that school (me and my older cousin) one generation in second grade and another generation that's going to that school. So tomiyasu I'm pretty sure would be a good school for anybody!
