It has been shared via social media that a teacher at this school told a 10 yr. old child that he will be shot by police by the time he is 16 yrs old. I find this abusive, repulsive, unprofessional and unacceptable. In these troubled times where there are numerous killings of unarmed black men and children killed by police (ie. Tamir Rice) for a teacher to utter such a comment to a child is tantamount to child abuse, there is no excuse for it. The lack of re-action concerning this matter on the part of the Rosehill Elementary School and the School Board is appalling. This teacher should be relieved of duty in the classroom..censured...suspended from teaching and submit to oversight and psychological evaluation and undergo diversity and professional standards retraining before ever returning to a classroom.

This school is annoying and does dumb stuff like let kids outside in 20 degree weather so that they can get sick. I can't stand my child's teacher she apparently thinks adults have to tell her lies about their child. The ladies in the front office just gossip with parents standing right there. And the staff tries to be nice rude to children and parents. Everyday the school calls about a $2.65 lunch charge when your child doesn't even eat the crappy lunch it's ridiculous. My child won't be going here next year I bet you that. Homeschooling my child would be better.

I went to Rosehill from K-6, and I personally believe that this school is amazing. The teachers and staff were wonderful and accommodating, and everyone had a cheerful attitude (except that one lunch lady, Mrs. Johnson.) I learned not only facts but life lessons there, and it was amazing. Also, their gifted program (E.L.) is awesome. Go Rockets!
