After having my kids in other schools, then attending MIA I wouldn't want my kids to be anywhere else, very friendly and safe environment , more like a family with very caring teachers and staff.

Muhammad Sulaiman

I am a MIA student and I have to be honest this school is amazing/ great. Their technology, teachers, and community is very good but as a student I feel like sometimes I am treated unfairly and I will admit it sometimes it is my fault but most of the time it’s not. I have been wrongfully accused of cheating and talking and doing many other things that did not do. These things were later sorted and I proved that I did not do any of things I listed and have not gotten an apology till now and I have been a student for 4 years now. But in general it’s a good school and I hope it improves even more and more inshallah.

MIA is a great school highly recommended this school has strong learning and teaches kids more about Islam they provide Quran classes which is amazing

MIA offers and education filled with core Islamic values that will stay with students beyond graduation. This school pushes students to be there best possible self spiritually and academically. It is through this school that I learned almost all of my islamic education and memorized a large sum of the Quran. It offers unique opportunities in education through different competitions and early graduation. It continues to grow, from teaching in the masjid 30 years ago to having a gym and basketball team in the present era. Definitely a good choice.

Great school. I love it here. It built my Islamic nafs, and iman. May God bless this school. They also offer a great variety of oppiopportuni when it comes to college transfers, WCC classes, and competitions. They teach Quran Arabic and Deen, and we pray thuhr everyday and Jumuah on Friday. Inshallah we keep improving.

Even as an alumnus, MIA is like my second home. The teachers & staff are dedicated, qualified, motivated, and inspiring, and the environment is homey. It gave me a safe space to grow as a Muslimah and has honestly blessed me with a second (growing) family. Going to MIA kept me connected to my deen and to our Muslim community. And it has grown so much! MIA has bright, new teachers, a bigger building, and a gym. MIA also offers student support (counseling) now, led by the warmest women ever.

Amazing school, it teaches from preschool to 12th grade. They have very strong arabic, Quran, and Islamic studies. Very safe environment, and you pray dhuhr. Also for anyone who lives far there is a bus.

yasmine o'connell

Very bad school, They take advantage of the parents need for a good islamic school. For parents out please do your research,Think about other area in Michigan like Canton and Dearborn. Before you settle and buy a home in Ann arbor think about your option in schools for your children. We wasted money and time. So please think hard before taking your children to the M.I.A.

MIA has been one of the best schools I’ve ever been to! The teachers are very kind to me and when I need help they always would find a way to help me in any of the subjects! I was bad at Arabic when I first went to MIA but now I can speak Arabic in a very good manner, I think if you were going to send your child somewhere for school I suggest it should be MIA.

Maryam Parker

I came to this school the begining of this 2018 school year and alhmadulilah i love it! MIA is a school that is improving. The principal tries her best to get students involved and become better muslims each day.

Wonderful school Masha'llah, thoroughly enjoyed myself there as a student. Equipped me for success in the donya and akhira Insha'llah. Unrivalled academics with much focus on leadership and character building, and teachers who invest their heart and soul into the students. If you're wondering where to send your children, look no further.

I have three children and all of them attend MIA, one of them graduated last year. We absolutely love the school it has a homey like environment that welcomed us, so it became lie a second home for my kids. Staff and teachers are highly qualified, dedicated, caring and supportive. The school offers great education, wonderful Quran and Arabic program, plethora of extra curricular activities for students to engage in and build their leadership character, counseling, SAT prep classes, and a wonderful opportunity of a dual enrollment program for high school students. The school does a great job integrating Islamic values in their curriculum that helps students grow to be proud Muslims. I can’t imagine myself enrolling my kids at any other school. If you are looking for a school that provide a whole package of building strong Islamic character and great education Michigan Islamic Academy is the school no doubt about it.

It's been over a decade since I've attended MIA, yet the experience has been truly unforgettable. The year I spent there has left such a lasting imprint on my life in every positive way possible. MIA provides students with a unique and rich educational experience. You will never find a school principal who invests as much time and effort into the development of an institution. MIA and the city of Ann Arbor as whole, are very lucky to have an individual who is dedicated to serving the community by striving for the betterment of it's children. MIA will always have my love and support.

Great School! great staff ! Love the study environment I recommend this school. Way to go MIA

Salsabeel Awadallah

This is my second year attending MIA and and as there is positive and negative to everything, the schools positives outweigh its negatives. MIA isn’t just a school for your child to go learn and come home. They build relationships with one another. The students build binds with the teachers and staff that you won’t find in any other school. It’s a place that they can call their second home. In everything they do, the teachers try their best to include an Islamic POV to the topic being discussed in class. 100% recommend this school to any parent wanting to put their kids in a private school!

Kawthar Mawari

It’s my daughter’s first year going to MIA and alhamdulilah she loves it. The teachers there are very supportive and kind. They are also very certified and qualified to teach the required subjects. The students at the school are a good influence on my daughter. I can proudly say that sending my daughter to MIA is the best decision I have made, alhamdulilah.

As a mother of 4 MIA alumni, and one current student, I am so grateful that we have such a great Islamic school in the area. My children were provided the academic and Islamic foundation necessary to succeed as Muslim professionals. The rigorous curriculum and healthy social environment allows students the opportunity to grow, ensuring that they have confidence in their beliefs and values, career ready skills, and the tools to contribute positively to their communities.

Maria Tout

As an MIA alumnus it is with confidence that I can attest to the value of the staff, education and community of the school. MIA helped me build an Islamic foundation that aids in my everyday life alongside unique academic and extracurricular educations. The teachers at MIA are what make the school the great institution it is and without their love and support I would not be where I am today Alhamdullilah.

I graduated from MIA a few years ago, and the enriching experience I had as a student inspired me to return this year as a teacher. MIA enabled me to develop the rigor, work ethic, and skills I needed to excel as a college student, and now as a professional. MIA also helped me cultivate a strong Muslim identity while sparking an interest in learning the Arabic language. The school continues to grow exponentially in every aspect, from their excellent test scores, to the wide range of extracurricular activities, to the support services and resources available to students. The MIA community is like a second family, the passionate and dedicated staff here is unmatchable. In the dark times we live in today, MIA is a beacon of light for Muslim youth growing up in America.

Wonderful school, wonderful teachers and a safe neighborhood. They are almost finished adding on a gym to the school. They have a small student population so that the student-teacher ratio is very small.

The school has been improving and increasing its resources in the last three years. Good Job to all the administration and board members. There is a great sense of family in the school and everybody is working hard to improve the school education and increase the activities My children went to the school and other member of the family. All of them are now studying at prominent Universities and some already are active member of the community with great jobs and degrees. All due to the strong ethical and moral foundation the MIA has provided them. Thank you MIA and to all its members.

“It takes a village to raise a child” Or perhaps just a close knit community. This is what Michigan Islamic Academy has to offer to its students. As an early graduate who has attended MIA since Preschool, I am grateful for the unparalleled opportunities I have been given by this school.

I am currently a student at MIA and have attended this school all my life. I feel so so honored to be a part of the MIA family. This school hands down is the best and I cannot be anymore thankful that my parents found it and enrolled my siblings and I in it from day 1. We absolutely adore the school. The people there are literally the best. I guarantee you, you will not find teachers at public schools like the ones at MIA. They are all beyond caring, helpful, supportive, and kind. Not once have they ever failed to make us happy. Bottom line, I love MIA and am so happy and I'm blessed to attend it.

MIA is a great school and a place to send kids to be future leaders with well established positive character. Three of our kids attended MIA and are now attending U of Michigan and Case Western Reserve University. One of our kids graduated from MIA and now attending dental graduate school. MIA has expanded its facilities and added modern classrooms, science labs, and a brand new gym. What we like about the school is the dedication of the administration, staff and teachers and the strong multicultural environment. The school provides outstanding number of extracurricular activities ranging from student clubs, national honor societies and state wide competitions. Every student at MIA has ample opportunity to be active in multiple leadership and academic activities. The school has unique clubs that are hard to find in other schools due to the diversity of expertises of its staff, teachers and stakeholders. MIA parents participate in tens of activities and wonderful gatherings throughout the year. MIA students practice public speaking, presentation skills in all media and are drilled through a series of communication skills practices that are paced across curriculum at all levels. Another unique attribute to MIA are the tens of activities and involvement opportunities that are provided to students beyond the border of the school. MIA students enjoy participation is out of town and some out of state field trips, conferences, symposia and the like. Good job MIA and we wish you continuous prosperity.

Alhamdullilah I am currently a student at Michigan Islamic Academy and have loved every one of my twelve years spent here. I have grown up in MIA and it has become like a second home to me. It has been very easy to open up at this school because of its homey and loving environment, Alhamdullilah. It is very easy to speak to teachers and staff when concerning any issue because of their dedication and willingness to help. I would highly recommend this school to anyone!

Asieh Mohammed Azizi

I love MIA! I've been going there since I was 9 and I've loved every year there. It's small, so teachers have more time with the students, and provides many opportunities such as clubs, events, dual-enrollment classes, and even an early graduation program. It's a great school and I definitely recommend it.

Love the school, I have my children going here. Includes elementary, middle and high schools. Beautiful Islamic education. Highly recommended. I see some bad reviews from one disgruntled family and friends, please do not pay attention, look at their review history, these are disruptions continuing out of school on the social media

fatiha ameziane

This is my 17th year being a parent here and a part of the MIA family. The school has taught my 4 children Muslim pride in their dress, the way they talk and how they respond to unexpected challenges. Since I have crossed so much distance I can see how this school has allowed them to grow, formulate opinions in a safe, friendly, and Islamic environment. I am very thankful to the staff, teachers, parents, community, and students for who they have become.

Nada Fouani

My daughter was offered many positions in the neighborhood schools, but she chose to work at MIA and enrolled her daughters there as well. She does not mind the long distance she has to drive daily and loves her job, the school culture and the staff. I know it must be a great school because my grand daughters love it there too!

Omar Nahlawi

10/10 ign would rate again great school

Nargis Hamid

It's family environment where the students, parents and teachers grow together. The staff lead by the principle are tireless workers who are dedicated and spend long hours at the school. The school is always implement innovative ways to improve education. The extracurricular activities are great. The students also have a chance to compete in competition like Lego Robotic, Science fares and other regional and statewide competition. Alhamdulilah, the students always seem to out perform their peers in standardize testing like the MSTEP and SAT. Plus, you add in a family environment where character and morals are strongly emphasized, It's the perfect environment for my kids. Even though they have achieved much, the school, especially principal Fayzeh is trying to challenge the students to do more.

Mohammad Hamidi

This has been the best school ever! It is way better than public schools and I like the fact that it has a masjid connected to it.

MIA is the best school anyone could ever attend. All the teachers here are so nice and caring. The existing students are open and friendly to new students. Anyone that attends this school is blessed.

Michigan Islamic Academy is a well-rounded school with excellent academics and dedicated, highly-qualified teachers who care tremendously for the students. Islamic principles are woven into the core curriculum and most impressive are the methods in which MIA employs to empower their students. Students are heavily involved in their education and are given the opportunity to take on leadership roles. For a school with a small population and small classroom sizes, the opportunities are endless. There are various clubs for students to choose from including NHS, SGO, MUN, Arabic Honors Society, Health Club, Yearbook, Robotics, School Improvement Club, and U of M’s Peer2Peer. If you’re looking for a holistic education for your child in a safe, Islamic, diverse environment, then look no further. MIA is a rare gem of a school.

Mukhalad Abdulwahab

This school has been a horrible experience. They sell their school to the parents who want an islamic school. They don't allow their students to do activities for relegous execuses. Education wise, this school has been among the worse. They hire people, faculty and staff, who doesn't even have degrees that allows them to work in the US. We had to teach our doughter pretty much all the subjects at home because her teachers are incompetent. Their admission office doesn't know what they're doing as well. I had to correct their work because they didn't know how to understand the official transcript that I brought to them from another school.
