Don't recommend this school to anyone the parents their are very discriminators to other ethnicities/race and they don't have their students (boys soccer players) educated they are very disrespectful to the coach one of them even pushed the coach when they lost fair and clean soccer game DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE

Merritt Academy is an amazing school. Whether you're looking for the BEST education, a great sports program, or a huge family to be a part of, MERRITT is the school you're looking for! Our kids have gone to Merritt since they started school. We moved 3 hours away and transferred our kids to the local school in that area. Let's just say after one miserable school year, we transferred our children back to Merritt. It's apparent that the staff at this school are there because they LOVE what they do. You will NEVER get the feeling that they are there just for the paycheck. The programs they've put in place to help the kids that struggle are out of this world. (Ninth hour and lunch time assistance) When you walk in any building of this school, you are greeted by name. Merritt is one big family. Not just a school filled with uncaring old grumpy teaches just waiting for the day to end. One thing that I see as being amazing is that whenever you go to a sporting event or even the band concerts, the seats are not only FILLED with current students, parents, and staff, you always see retired staff and graduated students back to support their favorite school. That says a lot. A HUGE THANK YOU to Mr. Seiferlein, Ms. Cohrs, Mr. Girvin, and the rest of the staff for everything that you guys do every day to guide these kids to a successful future!

I have a kindergartner and 4th grader at Merritt Academy. This is both their first year at Merritt and we couldn't be happier. The teachers go above and beyond for the kids. It really feels like they love them like their own. I would highly recommend this school to everyone I know.

So how's the school let students be on their phones all day long texting their parents texting their friends talking to whoever they want to so how do they learn very disappointed in the school do not recommend. ..... no it's not, you want to see the texts from my Daughter all day long, no need for a cell phone in a school....

I have 4 children that attend this school, one in every grade and a kindergartender with some learning deficits, Merrit teachers and staff have done wonders with my child and they are an amazing school !! Great place for education, my children love it , good security too ! They are caring staff, very personable ! Love it here.

As a parent I'm happy about the overall quality of staff. If I've ever had a problem it has been addressed by staff promptly.. I like the teachers my child has had over the last years. I would recommend this school to any parent who likes to be involved with their children.. The IEP STAFF is top notch!

I went to this school, I highly don't recommend it. Got bullied and non of the teachers help, in fact the teachers bully you for having a learning disorder like what happened to me. They refused to help and they gave us more work, separate us from the smarter kids from the "dumber" kids. There is this think called "Zap" where if you don't do your homework you get detention. I had zap for a bunch of times. I couldn't do my homework because they will stack up the homework and they wont help. Do NOT take your child to this school, it was hell for me and I don't even call this a school. I call this prison. Had to give this a star to tell my story.

School only been in 2 months this is my child first year here he doesn't like it and I'm getting to the point I'm not liking it he tells the teacher someone took his planner papers and she say no you lost it and marks him down I can take this is this is going to go on the whole year I switched him for a better education but it's not a better environment

Merritt Academy is a terrific learning institution. The staff provides a good balance of caring and discipline while giving the students a superior education. We are very pleased with the education our children are receiving. We are certian that the education they are receiving is providing them with a stong base for higher education and a positive future!!

As a student of Merritt Academy, I DO NOT recommend this school at all! The staff picks favorites and discriminates. The students get bullied and in trouble for no reasonable thing. The staff decides to discipline the students in a serious situation by telling them to figure it out on their own and calls them liars. They say the mission is to build character development when they teach everyone to be the same and if the don’t abide by those rules then they will find any reason to get the acting party in trouble. This schools doesn’t care at all about their students as long as they get money and more students. My mother recommended this school to everyone and even she agrees that the teachers are petty. One teacher screams at me all the time and purposely tries to make me upset and cry. Not to mention the school hallways are disgusting. The staff forces the students to clean it. Earlier in the year there was poop written on the walls. One child couldn’t hold what was in his stomach for lack of better words and told the student to clean it up. The list goes on with how badly this school treats it’s students. I hope you find a better school because if this is what a school considers a family ,then I would hate to be apart of it any longer. My parents are considering homeschooling me. I’m sorry if you or your child has to ever experienced something so cruel.

My daughter attends this school and it is excellent. The education is top notch and the staff are wonderful. My other children will be attending when they are old enough. I highly recommend this school to anyone seeking a caring environment with an excellent academic structure.

I met the nicest classmates and best people, I highly recommend this school too any new coming parents, this school offered the nicest people and best education and if you forget your home work the teachers are really nice about it!!! I love this school, they have one of the most caring, helpful staff I've know, especially the office Mis Rosie is like the school Mom, Nurse, caregiver. She cares about all the student's goes out of her way for each and everyone one, she truly puts her heart into her work. We been through a lot the last couple of years and this school and ALL the staff has done so much to help and support. My son will not go to any other school I drive 101 miles a day there and back 4 times a day and if it wasn't for this staff and the REAL CARE, SUPPORT, TRULY WANTING TO HELP THE KID'S SUCCEED, I wouldn't do it. It is truly a great school for anyone wanting the best for there kid's. You won't find a better school with a great office staff principal vice principal office caregivers teachers and athletic department. They have a teacher that stays after school every day a different teacher and they call it ninth hour and they're there to help the kids to get caught up with extra help and then and that just shows how much they care about wanting the kids to succeed.
