I went for an interview to be a summer camp counselor and I thought it had gone okay. But I had mentioned in my cover letter that I couldn’t come to work at the camp on certain days in July and August for a valid reason — and even sent that cover letter to the camp director/interviewer a few days prior to my interview (I sent it on May 30 and my interview was on June 2). I had also sent it to the summer@cranbrook email multiple times prior to the interviewer reaching out to me. I thought they had decided to call me for an interview after reading through my cover letter and seeing that information. The interviewer was apparently unaware of that information at the time of the interview (even though I sent it to her prior) and then they decided that they didn’t want to move forward with my hiring process. When I emailed her to ask about why this happened, she never responded. Very unprofessional way of handling issues that were caused by them in the first place.
