This school has some serious issues and it needs to seriously stop. The teachers are threatening students which is not acceptable! All these people writing 5* obviously are bot generated and aren't experiencing all this horror. You teachers should be ashamed of yourselves that know you are doing these actions. You are not human at all and should be sued for what you do to your students. Thank you for your time and reading this comment I hope someone does something about this!

I am extremely glad that I graduated this middle school the year before they switched the grading system. My sister is in 7th grade, and she has to deal with the issues that the new principal and superintendent brought. The grading system no longer actually give kids grades; instead, it just gives them vague 1 through 4 grades on tests, and on anything less than a summative, it's either "got it" or "not yet". So basically you either get a 100 or a 0. On powerschool, there's no actual grade, just dashes for each of her classes, making it quite inconvenient for my parents to see how she's doing. Also, those new posters in the lunchroom are a joke.

i love the middle school in scarborough they give you a great education for us kids and they supply us with healthy foods, they also have very good classes and they have longer periods than we did in Wentworth which i like because it helps us get more interested in things like sports of dreams of becoming a great artist. my experience at the middle school is amazing and i hope it will be the next 2 years I'm here.

I both love and dislike the school. They changed the grading system which now makes us look smarter than we really are and most people would agree with me if they would like to see what grade they actually got instead of receiving a 1, 2, 3 or a 4. Some of the teachers and substitutes here can be really mean or very strict and some of them are both. Some teachers are extremely nice but you never hear about them being nice and you only hear about the bad things that the bad teachers did to a kid. The part I love about this school is that I made all of my friends here and some of the teachers here made learning fun for me. But there are lots of judgmental mean kids here that make school horrible for some kids and even some teachers.

It's a decent place, but the grading system is very bad. Recently, almost everything has turned into a pass/fail system. This removes the feeling of knowing that you completely perfected something, or if you barely passed. Many of the teachers could also use some work. For example, Mrs. Ahlquist and Miss Stewart seem to completely hate children in general. Some teachers also talk for most (or all) of the class period, which lowers the overall quality of work. Teachers obviously play favourites and least favourites, as my 7th grade teacher had a rewards system. If you did something good, you got a sticker. One girl ended the year with 16 stickers, and almost everyone else was around 2-5. The same teacher pulled my friend aside at the beginning of the year, and flat out told them that they were a bad student. They ended up crying, and by the end of the year, the teacher claimed that they were always her favourite (even though the teacher made her cry). Every student is expected to be exactly the same, personality wise and grade wise. It's a horrendous system at times, but I guess the academics are okay.
