Incredible staff and leadership.

Nye Family!!

I'm not sure where all the bad reviews are coming from, because we have three children who attend DCS and we (and they) love it. Every teacher they've had has been attentive, kind, and knowledgeable, and has exceeded our expectations in not only educating but also nurturing our children. One of our children has a medical condition, and the school nurse has been competent, supportive, and caring, and has gone above and beyond to care for our son and communicate with us about his care. Not only did the school help us create a 504 for our son, everyone has always not only followed his 504 but even made extra accommodations for him when they observed that he might need them. The administration has been professional, caring, and helpful and the new guidance counselor is really excellent. Our two older boys have been at DCS for four years now, so we've really had time to evaluate the school, and we would give it five stars for sure.

This is by far on of the worst schools my child has attended!! It has caused more anxiety and fear to the point where she is hyperventilating before going in! I have had to buy a house elsewhere because I just couldn’t drop her off like that. I do not recommend attending here! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

I saw a few parents write a bad review about the school and i never did because I thought it was just me and my child having problems with the school, my child had a 504 plan and they in fact did not follow it, the plan specified that my child needed a break, when he asked and they never let him have his breaks and one time they made him miss lunch because he "got frustrated and yelled" they are suppose to have capable teachers to handle that so I am not worried about my child and his wellbeing all day. We switched schools last year to pownal elementary and its better then here. NOT RECOMMEND TO BRING YOUR CHILD HERE! 504 PLAN OR NOT!

I like the school they have to work on the school a little but overall I think the school is great I'm a student at the end of the year the buses go around the loop two times and all the teachers stand there and wave to you and there's and elevator so if someone cant go upstairs there is a elevator

since I am seeing these reviews pop up I wanted to share that I also just left the district due to the horrible teachers and how they treated my child, whenever bringing a complaint to them they just blew it off

This school has caused my house hold nothing but stress, frustration, anger and depression. I am taking my 8 year old out of this school and district and moving else where. The principal and staff do nothing to help my child and when they say they are, they make it ten times worse. She is afraid to even walk in the doors. If I remember right school at a young age is suppose to be rememberable and fun, am I right? This school should be ashamed of the way they have made my child feel.
